The most obnoxious thing about this Questline is that it also inherently gives Priest a fighting chance vs aggro decks because they can keep discovering the best outs from their deck. Gross.

And they start with 1 less card in their opening hand. I guarantee this is not good in any way whatsoever against aggro.

Lol thanks for your guarantee typical rank nobody player.

You do realise that priest doesn't necessary love playing their cards on curve since they often deviate  with defensive spells to stay alive, right? Did you notice that this card is possibly better against control decks and not aggro? And did you also know that the discover only happens after they reach the checkpoints? First checkpoint would be at turn 4 in the earliest, that's assuming the curve plays are the appropriate answer for the board state on said turns. As much as I would like to not berate someone and their standings, your aggressiveness is neither meaningful nor logical and it is tiring to see someone act like this every other second of the day in this game

posted a message on Wailing Caverns Mini Set - New Cards

All I can say is that it's pretty decent in wild considering the fact that hunter isn't that good in wild. Especially with deathrattle synergy cards. Plus, hunter being one of the class that should lack card draw, having a 5 mana 3/5 that potentially draws 3 doesn't seem bad to me. As for Scavenger's Ingenuity, I think it's somewhat similar to that 1 mana draw a rush minion corrupt: give +2/+1 warrior card. The corrupt card is potentially better due to the fact that the card that corrupt it could be a tempo or defensive card. But there's also the fact that it requires an additional 1 mana to be played, corrupting and playing it in the same turn makes the cost be at least 3 mana and a two card combo for it's full effect. meaning that the argument of 2 mana draw 1 isn't exactly accurate since it also buffs said drawn card. I still think it's an okay card, maybe a good card in comparison to Novice Engineer. Which again is dependent on the deck building factor

No. The spell is a reference to a food in WoW you could only cook in this dungeon that transformed you into a pirate or ninja for an hour.

I'm pretty sure one can catch the fish outside of wailing caverns and cooking wasn't location locked either. But it was definitely available only in the barrens, wailing caverns being the goto early dungeon in the area hosts a plethora of players(usually 20 ish in classic) that fish around the area, which then makes it even more common in raid. I remember sharing it with some of my random raid party.

Heartstone is a card game where we are supposed to build a deck. Even at worst, the cards in the deck are one of the better options, unless one intentionally puts bad card in it; I hope the fun is well worth the swap. Plus, the argument of "in a vacuum" for a game that needs ability to both read the opponent and plan the following moves doesn't really fit well together. It's like arguing that all tech cards are good because they can destroy a deck built based on those cards.

Let's not forget that Scavenger's Ingenuity and Barak Kodobane are conditional draw You're right, technically right. Since conditional draws are one of the best draws eg. Town Crier

So, from what I can understand...you don't want people to play the cards as soon as Y'Shaarj generates it? That would make the card near unplayable and massive anti-synergy with Strongman.

posted a message on Is Al'ar underrated?

I also think Al'ar could have more than just meme potential.

Since the only obvious counter is dealing 3 damage twice or silence then deal 3 damage. Morphing effects are also a possible counter...but the current meta revolves around rather tempo based games and silence aren't run as often as they once were. And those classes without it run it less often from the Neutral cards since only Ironbeak Owl nor Infectious Sporeling see enough play.

But the previous obvious counter isn't that hard to meet. Be it a rogue who has near unlimited single target prowess, mages who are equally prominent or could at the very least delay it with various Freeze mechanics. Demon hunters also can do so easily, but the current Warrior, Palla and Shamans might have some trouble. But that's only if they got terrible mulligan and their current popular aggro decks don't work like they usually do.

From how I see it, it isn't that hard to deal with nor is it a very reactive turn 5 play. which could mean the difference between winning or losing in most matchups these days... I'm not saying it's terrible, all I'm saying is that it just doesn't have as much support for a turn 5 play.

Also, important fact is that Al'ar can't attack in the turn it came back from ash form.

Perhaps it could be considered as a late game minion for a Priest. After they both sides use up their resource...but Priest already got plenty of that and another dead draw in their deck is the last thing they need.

also, a fun mechanic with priests....if you give a minion with dormant reborn...take Antaen for example, it will be as a dormant minion and it's awaken bs will happen all over again....luckily priests got no access with crazy strong imprisioned minions

No matter the meta, the gala shaman got nerfed to oblivon and beyond, the new totems are catching on with the evolve decks with insane tempo and value.

I can almost see blizzard nerfing the class again and make it fall rock bottom agian. And we also have the fact the there is next to no more extra cards that convey their support for murloc decks, except for that 1 new murloc they added. Shaman always got it so bad. Especially so with their whole schtick being all over everything.

I can't really complain about the totems much but they then gave the shamans a new legendary with a cool on paper skill, if only it made any sense to whoever designed it.

Just, did the guy considered that shamans would somehow want a minion that when killed will shuffle in a card that will probably do nothing by the time it is drawn, because it will never be played in turn 1...removing the chance of it being draw-able within the next 3-4 turns. So, at best a 7 mana minion with 5/4 stats that draws three spells and makes them cost 3 less, so at the fastest, the player would be able to play it on turn 7 with 5/4 worth of stats and +1spell damage. If this ever sees play in any deck...just please...be an otk, at least it'd be funny then

this is like the mage thing all over again. it stopped being funny a while back but damn.

and don't get me started on the 4 mana 4/4 that just discounts the next demon the DH character plays...just the next, not the next demon they play this turn, not the next demon they play the following turn, not the first demon they play a turn after....just the next demon...play this into this very minion again the next turn if there's a chance and you will almost always wins on the tempo alone...just 4/4 that just does well for the cost and is efffectively 2 mana because it shaves off 2 from the next demon...just the next demon...

God forbid, i hope blizzard doesn't nerf dh too hard on the end they're doing rn alone. they have insane tempo even without the cards they nerfed. But why not, it's a new class and it need some love
