The problem with duels is it represents the worst elements of all other game modes, The time investment and commodification of arena, the high roll rng of battlegrounds, and the demand for tight synergist construction of standard/wild.
Whatever you initially build with is the direction you have to go in and some builds are legs and feet better than others. If the buckets, or worse the treasures, don't help, you are more than likely going down early. The definition of wide-field, narrow path gameplay.
Don't you know, of all the hero powers, upgraded and basic, the shaman one was the most broken. Everyone has been complaining about it for 6 years. Yep there's nothing more consistent and game-winning than the Shaman hero power.
All Basic and Classic Cards are gone, rotated. Some are coming back in as part of the rotating core set. So for Fireball, there's going to be a Fireball - Core and a Fireball - Basic.
Fireball - Core can be played in Standard and Wild. Fireball - Basic can be played in Wild.
If Fireball isn't added as part of core in 2022 then only Fireball - Basic will exist for 2022, only playable in wild.
Illidari Studies cant be nerfed as its a cycle card (both in format and intended behavior), you cant change the rule for 1, the card simply shouldn't have been printed, rogue should have gotten the last study card.
High Abbess Aluraprolly should have more limits applied to it, maybe just make it targeted spells (buffs, heals, damage), what Pure was already using it for.
Secret Passage isn't really a draw, maybe make it shuffle all cards both drawn by SP and created by SP so it doesn't create more value
Yeah, if you only plan to play standard then it's just better to wait cause we don't know what cards might end up staying so you could end up just getting like a month or two of play from them.
You'll only get a month or two of play from literally any of them because they're all rotating.
That's a lie, not all classic and basic cards are rotating. If you check the post here on Hearthpwn about the core set it says that 88 Classic cards will stay for the core set and then 54 Basic ones as well. So, as I said, we don't know which 88 classic cards will stay so if fabjx only plans to play standard it's indeed not a good idea to craft anything classic now.
They are all rotating, just some are coming back as part of the annual core set. It sounds pedantic but it's different.
Example Fireball, Fireball - Basic is rotating, but Fireball - Core will be coming back. If next year Fireball - Core isn't part of the core set, there's no Fireball in Standard.

Also, the reward feedback loop stinks.

yes, the core cards are replacing the golden card progression
2
Keyword Damage. Its just spell damage + an additional limitation.
Unless its "Lifesteal, Deal Damage" it will not impact healing nature spells

does ashbringer have gem, thats the real nerf

too slow, lets not get carried away with raptor hype again, remember the last time

this card needs a lot of imp-rovement if it wants to see any play
2
Probably very strong if they want shamans identity to be spell damage, but god is it a boring legendary.
This will be the hardest pre-release yet since we don't know what core will look like

The core set is comprised of Basic, Classic, Revamped, New, and Wild Cards

Big [Class] Archetypes have pretty much hit their zenith, and all Vol'Jin does is makes them worse from consistency. I doubt he will see much play.

Animated Broomstick should just be adjacent and remove its own rush
