posted a message on Shirvallah and the future meta

Am I the only one thinking about increasing it's mana cost (+5 or +8 or +10)? ~31 mana I am counting atm

Lifesteal, rush, divine shield plus stats seem to me a bit too rewarding for honestly doing nothing throughout the game except fetching your deck (card draw, divine shield + taunt) and playin heal or time out to stall the game? Plus Zola and Banker this has potential to become the new quest rogue/ Shudderwock.

I mean, it's a featured Blizzard-Deck (they went a long road to deliver the optimal card-package) so I am not counting on actions by them.

While everybody is ranting about Hunter atm, I would like to discuss this card in reference to the meta and a MAYBE-Nerf to hunter and the result for the meta.

posted a message on The worst way to nerf hunter?!?

What will be after the "hunter-nerf"?

There are many heavy board-clears and tools available to stall the game

all-time-classic: Equality + Consec, Time Out!, Blizzard, Flamestrike, Psychic Scream, Mass Hysteria,

    Warlock, Warrior etc...

Put Hunter's Spellstone to 6 Mana?

IMO if they nerf sth again, they should nerf nearly every class or "broken" mechanic because nerfing one thing will never lead to a good result (at this state of the game)

MAYBE the rotation is a solution but I don't see it... Few deck-types will be again supported by expansion-cards (Flower-Power, Floop = Maly, Shirvallah, Time Out = OTK-Pala, Mech-mechanic + Dr. Boom = Cancer-Control at it's best...) and so on...

    What is with

    Frost Lich Jaina (unlimited lifesteal)

Awaken the Makers + Loot Hoarder + Dead Ringer + whole Resurrect + Clone-Mechanic , FUN AND INTERACTIVE or more like Shudderwock?

    Dunno, dunno...

    What?

Jaina is the epitome of long drawn out interaction with the opponent. As a long time Reno Mage/Control Mage in wild I can't exactly mindlessly target any of your minions to spawn a water ele. I have to sit on resources to try to force a spawn against an actual intelligent player. The opponent also needs to make very intentional plays to manipulate minion health, trades, removal, etc along with me to try to prevent the spawns. It's a giant balancing act back and forth between the players. I really can't think of a single card that forces more interaction from both players than that.

Blizzard, Flamestrike, Dragon's Fury, Polymorph = Volcano, Hex, Lightning Storm = opponent feels the fun and interactive part I guess

    Removal is interactive...

If you feel your opponent has Blizzard or Flamestrike and you can avoid playing minions at that point in the game that takes a 3 or 5 health minion to one health you avoid playing it. That is interacting with your opponent. If you're playing control and haven't seen either copy of Dragon's Fury you avoid building a wide board until later when hopefully they have drawn out things like FS (causing Dragon's Fury to fizzle). I'm not sure how you're defining interactive.

Maybe I'm just used to playing with and against mage, as well as how to squeeze value from my cards and do my best to deny that from my opponent.

interactive means the way blizzards last nerfs were going... They targeted infinite value, lifegain and playstyles which allow to stall the game and win the game afterwards because of that... or in other words: you're just playing your cards (AoE, healing, resummon) while wiping the board and developing nothing, because you're waitin for finishing your quest and what not... This kind of Shudderwock-Playstyle...

From this perspective it would be fair, if they adjust the powerlevel of similar effects, means my mentioned classes or combos

As example: Quest Rogue + Giggling were considered non-interactive... stall the game, finish the quest, play giggling non-stop bounce it back, repeat, win the game... Ask me as a player of this kind of decks and I will always protect them, not matter how broken they are or not

posted a message on The December 2018 Nerfs Discussion Thread

I feel pity for the people ranting about Rogue...

For this forum I hope that the Rogue-Community will find a way to make KB work in a midrange-deck based on Raiding Party (a recurring Arcanite Reaper should be easy to set up), so that we will meet here again in a few weeks and people are again crying about this weapon and demanding nerfs... The actual nerf for Rogue is ok.

I hope nerfs in the future will affect other OP-classes or broken cards, from this perspective we are not done yet, Anduin I am looking at you...

posted a message on Card Nerf - Leeching Poison

They should make blade flurry synergize with leeching posion at least to cover up for the nerf... It seems ok, but it has to be shown if KB now is playable or simply dead...

I have 9+ copies of leeching poison... at least some kind of positive outcome

Now it's time for priest and his res-mechanix plus barnes to get nerfed I guess...

So winning is the only thing that makes the game fun for you ? I just cant seem to grasp the psychology of it. If i were playing "just to win" id have quit a long time ago.

I'll get your point and I understand it. I don't play it btw but have lost very often... (hardcounter)

Personally I don't care anymore about other decks, it's a game.

Imagine that people just play to win because winning is fun. Otherwise the ladder-system could force 'em also to play the most refined decks.

Dude, this will/ can never change, even not in april. ALWAYS will on deck exist which get's called "cancer" either it's aggro, combo or control... ALWAYS

posted a message on [Legend] Pirate Deathrattle Rogue

Sonya has the same issue like Umbra

If you play them, you can be sure that your opponent will remove them otherwise your advantage should be big

You'll have to imagine what's happening, if one of them sits in your hand as the only minion to play 2/2 for 3 Mana or 3/4 for 4 Mana

I guess you could call them "win-more"-cards? I'll tried them both in the boomsday-deathrattle-rogue and I would call them slow but decent okayish?!

The combo-potential is still nuts but I would call the pull-off-chance rare

Thanks everyone for the responses. It's refreshing to see people feel the same way I do and give a perspective on what they do when they feel like this.

I think I've similar issues, tbh I am not as good as you seem to be... but I've had a medical-issue about three years ago... after that, I started to isolate myself and wasn't leaving my flat except for therapy-related stuff... Until that moment I've finished my BA and was transitioning into MA, atm everything lies shattered in front of me... It's kind of hard to focus, I am seeking distraction... Before three months decided to get legend, had to accomplish my 1st attempt (miracle rogue@ shamanstone)... Reached Rank 1*** and there it stopped... Last month I was laddering again, after a losing-streak, I was totally mad like never before and was cursing like hell... I was talking to myself and asked myself, why are you playing this, you aren't enjoying it, it makes you sad and stuff...

Everything you said about HS (powercreep, one dimensional meta, same cards over and over again...) matches with my thoughts, and still instead of writing or finishing the university I am sitting here and reading. HS won't change, even the april-rotation will change nothing...

I am also trading away my precious time for this nonsense, but I am trying to get out this vicious circle...

What about sports or playin an instrument? In the end, don't get me wrong, computer-games suck in the long run... The only exception imo is Starcraft (1v1) it's nearly the only game which has serious learning effects because of multitasking and reacting to your opponent...

posted a message on Why do you play KIngsbane Rogue?

had drawn most of the cards, otherwise rogue is go-to-craft anyways (Doomerang etc.)

I like playin rogue the most, but I dislike baku-rogue

KB has a decent win-rate, you're able to beat aggro, if you know how to handle it

It's even in terms of "op-ness" compared to other cards/ classes, so why not?
