Step 2: ramp this turn 2
Step 3: profit (die)

H1st0ry posted a message on New Rogue Epic Card Revealed - Yoink!Posted in: NewsIts bad. Why? Because a HP is mostly bad for a class that cant benefit in the long term from it. 2 uses? so thats:
5 mana get 4 armor
5 mana deal 1 damage to a enemy twice
5 mana deal 4 damage to the enemy hero
...
Its all trash besides the Warlock HP. Every other one is not good for rouge. Its interesting but bad.

Yoink is pretty bad without cards that directly benefit from using your HP.

dps_kane posted a message on Madness at the Darkmoon Faire Launch Day - Everything You Need To Know!Posted in: NewsIf Blizzard does not fix the reward system over the next 4 months this might be the last expansion for many.
Why? It's supposed to be a F2P game with P2W options. But if one compares with old decks the number of legendaries needed in successful decks is slowly increasing on average. Also increasing is the number of legendaries per expansion. And, well, the amount of expansions is also kind of increasing, though we've been at 3/year for a long time now (both the year of the dragon and the phoenix so a mini-expansion at their respective end, increasing this to basically 3.3 expansions/year currently).
To be fair, until recently the amount of gold one could get did also increase (remember the days when quests would grant 30 gold?) which kept things pretty much in the balance. If one plays enough to do daily quests only one cold still get about 8000 gold/expansion from the daily quests alone, plus some bonus gold along the side for winning a few games, amounting to say 9k. enough for 90ish packs, which is enough to get all commons, rares, a decent amount of epics, and together with free legendary rewards one would probably end up having about 7+-1 legendaries.
With events here and there one could grab up to 20 free packs from various expansions during one expansion, too.
The new free reward track still hands out quite a few things. Unfortunately, the *actual* amount of gold you will collect will drop significantly (4200 until level 50). Only 7 of the packs on the track are actually from the newest expansion, so only these are actually worth 100 gold. All other packs, some even from the previous year, are worth significantly less.
By never wasting daily/weekly quests casual players should manage to get past level 50, but not far beyond that.I see myself reaching something between 60 and 65... That's about 25% less gold than the about 10k gold I used to make between expansions. :/ maybe I am wrong here, but ... we'll see.

did4skalia posted a message on New Progression & Reward System - Everything Blizzard Shared - Live Today!Posted in: NewsGold "as it's own" limited to 4200 gold per expansion to everyone from new progress system - BUT if you will spend 20 bucks you will unlock option to gain another 15 000 gold MAX - also limited. BUT also you need to spend time. Before this update devs said that if you missed old gold quest, then that gold is gone. Now still if you won't play enough you will lose. It's even worse if you spend money for Tavern Pass & not play enough.
Also some "mini-set" of new 35(?) cards is coming soon - so the only chance to get them is to pay real money, because I assume that this will be similar as a "Galakrond's Awakening Adventure" - you can't craft them, or get them from packs - you can only unlock them after purchase with money & completing the adventure.
Yeah - I'm officially not interested in HS that much like before, anymore. Slowly I'll probably try to find another game to fill that "seat".

Aggro player spotted lmfao, someone's mad that there are actual tools stopping you from farting every card you play directly onto the board as soon as you draw it now. Far watch isn't even the best watchpost. It's not getting nerfed.

The support card spell mage desperately needed to be viable. 0 mana draw 2 in that deck, potentially 2 mana draw 2 in a lot of others. It's gonna hurt if you draw 2 minions but...this is an incredible card.

It makes more sense if you consider that the year of the phoenix was so bad it turned away all but the dumbest whales and the people that are remaining are 6000 dollars deep into their cartoon card game gambling addiction and just want new cards for the decks they're already playing
1
Yeah, this is cringe. Constant value generation at the cost of having to play around it for the entire game...Lakkari Sacrifice anyone? At least that card didn't require you to go into fatigue to play it.
Oh, and who can forget; if you're playing deck destruction warlock, you can't play any of your deck destruction cards until you draw this, because you risk burning it. Lmfao
The Chad Chef Nomi: Fills your board with 6/6s once, great endgame option if your opponent has no huge board clear, so good it made priest viable
The Virgin Neeru Fireblade: hinges on you benefiting from continual value after your entire deck has gone, requires you to build your deck to have a bunch of expendable cards, cards that destroy those expendable cards, and also one legendary you have to draw before you burn it, loses to any deck with board control or anything faster than it

Yikes. I can see why they waited so long to reveal this. Mechanically useless since mill is no longer viable (and for your own sake don't act like mill Tickatus is a real deck and not a meme), and an epic to boot. Same old hearthstone.

This one draws from the existing pool of Poison spell cards. (Deadly Poison, Paralytic Poison, etc.)
Xaril, Poisoned Mind draws from a pool of Toxin cards that generally aren't very good and don't have synergy with the cards they're actively printing this set.
It's not a reprint just because you don't know how the game works.

Yeah, gotta say I'm losing interest in this expansion at this point. I mean, I guess if you wanted a control win condition you could play C'thun, but like...it's pretty clear that blizz has no interest in printing actual win conditions this set. It'll probably just be a meta full of value decks struggling to keep up with tempo decks that are mostly made up of the cards from last year. So...same as it has been for the last year. This set looks decent, but not good enough to compensate for the three terrible ones that came before it. At least I can save the 100 bucks by not buying in this time. Here's hoping the next set is the Saviors of Uldum to this one's Rise of Shadows. Or that the single player is good, at least.

Somehow I don't think they're going to print a tech card against a mechanic the same set they introduce it.

An absolutely fantastic card on its own, but I'm hoping priest will have a win condition revealed soon now that Galakrond is rotating out and they can't play the long value game anymore.
