Quote from UnboundA7X >>Who's a sore loser? This guy.
I'm competitive to a fault, and I tend to take losses personally (as a reflection of my poor deck building and/or play), rather than actually considering what factors contributed to my loss and/or my opponent's win. It's worst when playing a particular friend (the one who introduced me to the game, and the only friend in my list that I know IRL). I consider him a more skilled player than I am, which makes the loss sting even more. Not that I would insult him for winning, but I have been known to "storm off" after a blowout loss. I want to be more gracious in loss, but haven't figured out how to not take it so personally.

Psy_Kik posted a message on Be honest, are you a gracious loser or a sore loser? *POLL*Posted in: General DiscussionYou a younger brother? Try to think how you'd feel if you won that game against your buddy instead of lost, you wouldn't really feel any different, maybe a slight sense of satisfaction, so it shouldn't make you feel any different to lose. We all play to have fun primarily, not prove ourselves. Wins or loses in any computer game don't equate to anything, they just serve to make our time on earth less tedious. -

thazud posted a message on Which cards will you miss the most?Posted in: Standard FormatA lot of nice cards goes away with this upcoming rotation.
Even though they do not see a lot of play right now, I think that Elise Starseeker and Justicar Trueheart are unique cards that gives something extra. I like Reno Jackson and my feelings towards him leaving is ambivalent. I like the huge swing he gives the games (especially against aggro) but perhaps it is time to see new control archtypes as he is too important at the moment.
I will miss dragon Priest and I fear that they are going to push N'Zoth Priest. While I kind of like N'Zoth Priest it is just a too meta dependent deck (at least for the moment) as it is simply too slow against very aggressive decks, and too slow to beat Jades. And then Priests will be back to tier 4 decks. However, it is too early to say anything and perhaps they might release strong deathrattle cards than pushes this archtype. Regardless, I like dragon Priest and especially Drakonid Operative* - despite him being arguably OP.

linkblade91 posted a message on Dr. Boom or Rag???Posted in: Wild FormatQuote from UnboundA7X >>They're both fun as hell. If I had to choose, though, Ragnaros the Firelord would come first.
^ This. They're both great cards in their own way...but Ragnaros is just so satisfying to use. BY FIRE BE PURGED!!That said, it really matters what kind of deck you were planning to run in Wild. Dr. Boom can be a one-off card, but you usually find him in Mech decks. Ragnaros the Firelord is an Elemental, so there's synergy there if you choose to pursue it. Ragnaros is also someone who greatly benefits from being copied (Barnes, Shadowcaster, Servant of Kalimos); generally more-so than Dr. Boom. -

And when N'Zoth rotates, N'Zoth. It's my favorite archetype ever.

So dumb. For kicks I'd like to see some tongue-in-cheek emotes like the "Your mother is a Murloc" and "nice topdeck" suggestions. Some options like "Friend request?" and "That was a great game!" would be cool as well. -

It's not so much that it doesn't make sense, but the execution of Alexstrasza's summoning quote is very poor. "I bring life and (GIANT FIREBLAST)." At least let her finish her line before blasting!

I was going to play a Sacrificial Pact in a Warlock mirror match back in the day, but decided after I had selected the card that I wanted to attack first with Blood Fury (I was playing as Lord Jaraxxus). End result: I SacPacted my own damn face trying to return the card to my hand. Oopsie poopsie.

Nesting Roc is good to slow aggro down. I'd keep one, but you don't necessarily need two, especially with so many Houndmaster targets already. Vicious Fledgling is good, if for nothing else than to bait removal - and if they can't remove it, it only gets better. Snipe is good against Quest Rogue, Deadly Shot against Taunt Warrior (especially that damned Alley Armorsmith) and Hungry Crab against any and all Paladins, and the occasional Shaman or anyone running Coldlight Oracle for draw. I personally run Swamp King Dred and one Bittertide Hydra - the latter in particular is risky in some matchups (Mages or Shamans who play Volcano especially), and neither is essential to the deck, but both are big threats that can win the game if not answered quickly.

Snipe and keep their board clear. Not so hard.

What do you do? Befriend the guy and throw him some props. Maybe he'd have spilled the whole deck list to you. Shit, maybe he has other interesting decks, too.

As a Hunter main, I couldn't disagree more. My preferred class shouldn't have strong healing effects available to it; it's not part of the class's nature. I also don't have a problem with most Mages I've run into - even when they play both of their Ice Blocks.

Can't complain about this one. :-D
