Each class has their normal hero power and an upgraded hero power. Baku can be in any class in order to replace your hero power with the upgraded version. Paladin's upgraded power is two 1/1 minions. Mage's update is deal two damage instead of one damage. As it says in Baku's card text, if you only have odd cost cards, at the start of the game, he will turn your ordinary hero power into the upgraded version. If you are mage, your 1 damage power becomes a two damage power if you are hunter, your 2 damage power becomes a 3 damage power... do you get the idea?
The cost of playing this card is that it is an understated minion that takes up a deck space and also, that you cannot put any of the good even mana cost cards in your decks. This means that any cards that cost 2,4,6,8, or 10 mana must be excluded from you deck in order for baku's affect to trigger
I like Jazzfan27's wizbang idea. However, rather than a full deck of cards, it would be cool if you got maybe 10-15 monk or demon hunter cards and the rest could be neutral cards.
All the cards should be flexible in a ways that allow players to try out different play styles depending on which neutral cards they add to the deck
I don't think a deck needs a lot of new cards to be interesting, it just needs a new way to play the game. The last innovative deck I can think of was espionage rogue. Every deck that has come since is just a variation of decks made in boomsday or earlier.
The classic set is not the real problem with the current meta; The real problem is that there are currently no new ways to play the game. Blizzard nerfed the druid cards in order to shift the meta and make it feel new because they failed to add anything actually new.
Nerfs to the classic set are, in my opinion, symptoms of staleness and not caused by an overarching problem that requires its retirement.
The only deck that actually gains a huge advantage with rexxar is deathrattle hunter and that is because of cube synergies
In general, rexxar is most useful against agro decks because it acts as a board clear and gives the hunter the ability to sustain pressure indefidently. Against control, rexxar alone is not enough to win
The legendaries that people are wishing were nerfed will be part of new decks in the future. Grumble, Shudder, and Kingsbane are all likely to stay relevant in one way or another. Also, odd paladin lives on and will still be a powerhouse after rotation. I think these nerfs are blizzard's way of telling players to keep these legendaries and not to dust them.
People still complaining about druid when none of their decks are even close to tier one and that Shaman can heal the same amount of armour that Branching Paths gives with a spell that's one mana cheaper, Healing Rain. But I guess druid is cool to hate, it's like people of colour many years ago.
Did you really just compare hating the Druid class in hearthstone to racism? Also... racism still exists. I don't know what you were going for, but try not to be needlessly thoughtless or offensive.
Emerald dream and exploring the dormant mechanic could be really cool. I think dormant and echo are really good mechanics that could be utilized in future expansions. Also, emerald dream would come with more dragons and crazy spells and stuff.
the other thing I wanted to know is: are you ok with the fact that the meta usually allows no more than, like 10 decks to be viable on the ladder?
if not, con you think of a way it could be improve?
for us cheap working class dudes, getting legendary cards takes so long, and when we get most of them they're useless because not viable, that makes me sad =( ... its boring only being able to climb with one single deck
10 viable decks is kinda great though. There have been times when a single deck was straight up destroying almost everything. Druid used to do that before plague was nerfed.
Also, there are a lot of other decks that are semi viable. Control warrior, midrange hunter, topsey priest, espionage rogue... maybe try playing one of those? Also, in casual you can play decks that are not viable. You have the option of not laddering and just trying to make fun combos
I think good gameplay is when all tier 1 and 2 decks have a good chance of beating any other tier 1 and 2 deck and the difference between tiers is low. By that I mean you can play a very off meta deck and still win maybe 40-45% of games.
I also think unique effects make for good gameplay. One of the best parts of hearthstone is trying out genuinely new cards. That's why the playable hero and quests were so fun. I have been a little disappointed recently because a lot of the new cards seem to have similar effects to ones already in the game. I think zuljin is an example of a card that could have been so much more. I know it feels new to some people, but, for me, it's disappointing to have a hero that only casts cards I can already play.
In sum: Good gameplay is when cards are more than just bunches of stats, every game is worth playing out till the end, and there are many viable decks

It would require access to the paladin immune card to be good. (Then it would be way too strong.)

Halazzi is a couple synergy cards away from broken in my opinion.

If you like hunter, you should probably craft zuljin anyway. Voted for spell hunter

I tried out a version of this deck but I think it is straight up weaker than other combo paladin decks right now. Maybe after rotation!

Um what? Warrior is currently fine. Odd warrior is a control warrior archetype and the most played type of warrior. You can also play dragon warrior

Maybe screenshot a game and send it to blizzard?
