posted a message on How to (Actually) fix Corridor Creeper

The new corridor creeper is fine. The point was to make it something that doesn't go into decks from every single class as a "I hope I don't get boardcleared" tech.

As it is now, there's room for a beast synergy setup that'll make creeper effective in the right decks in the future. Making it a giant that gets cheaper simply by having the game happen just opens up more opportunity for outrageous swing turns. We really do not need stickier minions. The ability to summon 2 8/8's for 0 mana after a flamestrike will not make the game better or more interesting.

I think as soon as you open 1 pack of WoG you get C'Thun (gifted outside the pack, so 5 cards + C'thun) iirc, so I'd get at least 10 of those.

     Was yogg gifted as well
No, only C'Thun because there were a lot of cards in WotG that were only useful if you had him. So they gifted that legendary so everyone could use the cards.

I wouldn't dust or craft anything at this stage of the game. If Blizzard's schedule hasn't changed we're days from the new expansion announcement and things can change very quick. Hold off for now.

posted a message on Priest Expansion Pack - "Call of the Light"

I'm with al12rs on this, it's too strong. Some of these commons would qualify as epic or legendary effects and no matter how strong the ability, they always seem to have a stat line that is good for a vanilla that costs (1) less or better.

For exmaple, Ashen abbess is basically a barnes effect with quest synergy for 1 mana less and even though the stat line is soft the taunt forces your opponent to play into something potentially really dumb, like Malygos/Velen and it'll mana curve into revive spells super easy. Not a fan.

And the 1 mana dude that makes your spells deal double, wtf. Play 2 of him, let them die, then Twilight's Call it out twice with wild pyro and boom, unstoppable 80 damage mind blast. Combine that with quest synergy and you basically have a healing exodia mage.

posted a message on Not broken - But complete cancer

I think the problem is that there's too many cards which are just objectively bad. I get that these keep random effects in check but it also limits the number of decks we see each expansion. I don't blame people for net decking, I understand that people who play on a restricted budget or limited play time have needs and goals for the game that don't allow them to mess around with card trying to see what's good and what's bad. However, the random effects were never truly welcome to the degree they're at now anyway, and is barely an excuse for how terrible some cards are.

As long as only a handful of cards are strong "on their own" or insane with like a 1 card combo, you'll see auto-includes like this. You simply can't build decks that make efficient use out of everything. Shaman is a great example. They have so many cards that require too much setup, have crappy stats, and/or have negative synergy with other cards they'd like to have. Blizzard seems to be banking minions ahead of time for future expansion compatibility, but fail to grasp how frustrating it is to spend $50 for cards and get Moorabi and 2 avalanches wasting away in their library hoping and praying some day support cards will come out.

So TLDR: Too many cards which simply cannot amount to anything in the meta.

Kripparian. He does a lot of arena and he's good at it. Lots of people hate on him, but his stats prove he's one of the best.

    Quote from NightCrawl3r >>

While it's certainly true the game needs to make money for it to exist, the prices in this game are utterly ridiculous. How come all these small indie companies can make card games as good, if not better than Hearthstone and charge a fraction of the price for packs? Blizzard isn't charging us this much to keep the game afloat, they're doing it because they can

Because there's enough demand for it. When you make things people want, you can make a lot of money from it.

posted a message on Decks that you hate in wild or standard.
    Quote from B4timer >>

I originally only had wild but realized the decks is also played in standard in weaker forms.

(both formats)Kingbane/mill rogue I dont care that it has horrible win rates healing 8+ every turn trading going face every turn i cant take it. AT least let them die if they have 2 hp and trade with an 6/6 at least make it not that they dont heal 1st then take damage. i can handle being milled it not fun for me but that that what their deck is suppose to do, but i cant handle them being almost unkillable with good hands the insane amount of healing is frustrating me to no end. I though ill never say it but i hate leaching poison pls delete the card. Im sure in any slow meta like what standard might becomes that the deck will be insanely good. they can keep their infinity weapon just dont let it heal for so much its doesnt feel uncommon for it to heal 24 hp with one weapon before they need to get the weapon from the deck again.

It's a bit hard to sympathize with you when I see that.
I personally hate aggro/tempo storm. You know the decks: Play cards until the scary blue mana crystals are gone and swing face until the scary green borders go away. It's like being forced to play as the AI while someone else plays solitare. It's not a game, it's not even a test of luck, it's just seeing what cards come up in what order and somehow trying to find a way to be entertained by it. Cards need to interact to be fun. I know it's of no fault to the player, I mean once you out-tempo your opponent there's basically no logical reason NOT to go face, but it's annoying that the disparity in power can become to pronounced so quick and half the time it has nothing to do with one player out-playing the other.

posted a message on Playing legend players before legend?

At this point in the meta legend is rife with people who saw a deck that was doing well and rode on its back to the top. Rank is 20% skill, 60% decklist, and 20% RNG. Be careful how highly you think of players in legend.

posted a message on Why Does King Togwaggle Exist?

All the final bosses are designed to fight toe-to-toe with the ridiculously overpowered decks you draft as you rank up. The special abilities, cards, and minions you gather need to combine into something more powerful than the final boss to win. Togwaggle is a challenge in this regard.

You use RNG to defeat everything in this game. What you draw, what cards you have, what you put in your collections, what you discover, and even more. Card games are about winning the strategy first and the execution second. There is no real tactical skill in playing cards as long as the order is correct and your strategy leads you to the best possible play with the cards available on your turn. To this end, there is nothing about Toggwaggle that needs to be changed or addressed. He is in many ways the same as the deck the player will draft.

The only conclusion is that you're OK with RNG high rolls as long as they're yours more often than your opponent's.
