So i heard that you are guarnteed to get a legendary in your first ten packs so I was going to try and get some from msog and old gods hefore they rotate but the grind is really draining and im wondering if its even worth it
I think as soon as you open 1 pack of WoG you get C'Thun (gifted outside the pack, so 5 cards + C'thun) iirc, so I'd get at least 10 of those.
Was yogg gifted as well
No, only C'Thun because there were a lot of cards in WotG that were only useful if you had him. So they gifted that legendary so everyone could use the cards.

Oh wow so i actually already had my legendary from that set. Whoops
My gf started playing recently and I told her to get her 1-pack leg from each of the 7 sets and now she even has a better collection than me lol (well 8 legs considering the starter pack)
Based on your collection, i would open some msog pack until you get the guarantee legendary, and then open some Ungoro packs until you get the guarantee legendary.
After that i think it will be the best to open some KFT packs (to try get more DKs) or just save the gold for the new expansion that comes out in April.
And general tip: if you decide to stop opening some type of packs, you should always wait until you open a legendary and only then stop (unless you open only few packs, and you're short on money).

So i got kalimos. working on that msog legend still
If you start saving now by the time the next expansion (and it will need to be a big one) you'll have enough gold for nearly all the cards without having to buy the so called early release good deal.
I did this for k&c and every pack I get now is just 5 cards of dust.

If they are your first 10 packs ever of each set, then yes, it is worth it.
In the worst case, you build approximately 800 dust per set, spending 1000 gold.
In the average case, you spend less, because you get the legendary before the 10th pack, and gain the same dust or more (with epics).
Or you simply get staple Wild legendaries or cards.
