in most likely 3 weeks, which is really pathetic

I'm very interested in knowing how you've determined that taking additional time to polish content is pathetic.

Polish what content? Content is ready for years lol, they already have the pve content for 2020 and 2021. Do you have any sources to provide on this?

They do this every time with pve content, for one reason alone. Make players buy more packs for pvp. What is the economics and strategy behind this principle?

If they release pve content on expansion release, trust me they wouldn't make the same amount of money with Hearthstone.

Trust you for what reason exactly? Do you have some data or info you can provide that would have brought you to this conclusion? How does the PVE take away from sales of packs?

I'm not blaming Blizzard for this. Just saying, this is what they do, stop living in a dream world where money makers don't care about money.

One doesn’t have to set aside understanding of basic business principles to question the validity of your claims, nobody thinks Blizzard is not a business with stockholders, and that they are beholden to make these investors money. But running a business for profit and aiming to please your customer base are not mutually exclusive, in fact quite the opposite, companies lose money when they upset their customer base, so I don’t understand what them caring about money has to do with PVE release windows.

If you enjoy pve content you're not going to buy as much packs for pvp to stay competitive and enjoy the game, thus you're less likely to spend real money on packs. And when are players the most likely to spend money on packs? When the expansion is released. It's really simple I'm not trying to act like a business man or whatever.

Also I don't have a source for my claim that they have content ready for years, it's just, again, a pretty simple thing that big video game companies always do.

"Aiming to please you customer" as you say generally means to make them frustrated about something and offering them a chance to pay money to remove the frustration, meaning you don't want to give them too soon a free experience that is potentially better than the paid experience.

Sorry for the bad english and the late reply.

No need to to apologize, your English is fine, thank you for answering my questions respectfully and explaining your thoughts behind them, it is sadly getting rarer and rarer for this to happen civilly. I don't think you're wrong about the PVE cutting into the earnings of the PVP, I just am not sure to what extent it does, it may be significant enough to risk angering the fan base by releasing it later.

As for the content being ready for years, I don't doubt that there are projects that when released have been in development for a couple years, but I would think that during that time it is being worked on actively in some capacity. I find it hard to believe that massive expansions are completed quick enough to store them away for a later use. My degree is in CS and I have worked for a few software development companies comparable to the size of the Hearthstone team, with large budgets and a solid team of Engineers. Even after having an early working build, our Engineers were constantly programming, testing, deploying fixes, testing some more, as well as implementing new ideas or adjusting for a multitude of issues that arise. Given HS is a game there are many other working parts that come into play such as the art designs, card creation and balancing, 3D/2D design, ensuring continuity in the theme, I am sure it is a tedious and time consuming process.

Given the changes each expansion that balance out previous issues introduced by the prior one, I feel it has to be dynamically evolving IMHO. But I do think there are many shelved pieces that are added in at various stages down the road, maybe a card design didn't fit the theme, or was too op/weak to work in that exp and instead of dumping the work they hold onto it for a possible future exp. Anyways, that is just my thoughts, I am not stating how the HS development cycle works at all as I am not a part of it, only drawing on personal experience in somewhat related fields of work.

posted a message on Dr. Boom, Mad Genius hero power nerf
    Quote from Florensis >>

Agree, its a cancer card that alone wins you a game. You can play random cards + Dr. Boom and still win. Its 7 mana, gain 7 armor hero card. It should be 10 mana gain 5. It has idiotic OP rush aura, which makes board control impossible. Not to mention Warrior has the best AOEs in the game already. This deck is played by brainless idiots who suck at the game. Enough said.

Yea it seems like you think anyone who doesn’t play the way you think they should, with the decks you prefer, are all “Idiots, brain dead, Retarded, suck, trash.” Your fucking post history is absolute cancer, just look at the highlights of how much of a salty judgemental pos you are. PS: I love how you think your a badass for hitting level 14 in 4 weeks, my first day playing Ranked I got to level 15, it’s not fucking hard, you are a fucking scrub acting like you are a legend, while bullying and insulting members of this community. You must be a child considering you find it cool to tell ppl to kill themselves.

posted a message on Is this the highest rated Arena Deck you have seen?
    Quote from steeleon1972 >>

There have been posts from arena players that had a draft score over 100, so you are not close to any record. But 80 plus scores are likely, if played good, to get 10 + wins.

Ah okay, I did research it a little and couldn’t find anyone else with an 80+ score, only people who have heard of decks in the 80s but haven’t seen one. Another poster mentioned Kripp’s highest is 75.5 (again another user said this, I don’t know the veracity of it.) I am currently 5-1, I played a great Druid deck and with going second and a terrible draw, followed by a not good mulligan, I couldn’t catch up but got close.

posted a message on What are you going to do with your dust?!?
    Quote from hydrafrog >>

If many of are like me, which I'm sure you are, you got the pre-release for the next expansion .

As with all expansions, when you open your packs, you're bound to have dust to craft some of the other things you may want.

Since we are going to have a number of cards tossed into the Hall Of Shame, werew going to have a bit more dust this time around. What are you going to do with yours?

I'm planning to Gold-Up my Warlock cards a bit and maybe some Rogue ones as well.

After HOF returns and a dusting extra cards I have (I don't dust them until I need dust and haven't for a while), I should have around 30k or so, and I will see how the meta shakes out and make a few strong decks as well as craft a legendary on day 1 that I want to try if  I don't get in packs. To the guy who asked how to get 20k + gold, learn arena seriously, I have only been playing HS a year and arena has helped e build a great collection, even better than a friend who has played actively since beta, although I am really incredibly lucky in getting legendaries, to the point my friend half jokingly gets pissed each time I open one. I have 58 I believe, so a little over 1 per week. I also get Epics alot too, it is more rare that I open a single rare card in a pack as opposed to say 2 Rares or 1 Epic 1 Rare ect. I really don't understand how I have so much luck.

Edit: For example I just opened my arena pack a minute after this post and this is the result.

posted a message on Some epic pack luck (?)

I started playing HS about 2 weeks ago, I bought the new welcome bundle (Did not buy the old one), got a few packs from the tutorial, and 10 from twitch, so far I have gotten:

For Legendary -  A gold Crystalsmith Kangor, Ysera, Captain Greenskin and Whizbang the Wonderful

For Epic - Pyroblast, Mindgames, Far Sight, Supercollider, Murloc Warleader and Southsea Captain

Gold - Deadly Shot, Blizzard, Eye for an Eye, Lava Burst, Forked Lightning, Shieldbearer and Dire Wolf Alpha

I don't honestly know enough about the game to understand which are good or not, except Ysera because I saw someone say to dust it in another comment and everyone called him an idiot.
