You're an idiot and it's people like you which is why there should be a test of some form in order to be allowed to use the Internet.
I'll entertain it though, you've contradicted yourself by saying they are lazy and that they want to milk it. It can't be both because each outlook would mean a completely different set of behaviours on Blizzard's part
If they are lazy, can you explain how you came to this conclusion? I would expect something like evidence they repeatedly missed design deadlines because they were procrastinating or that you know a developer who sat just staring at their monitor for the last few months, unable to muster the energy to get on with their work.
If they are milking it, what exactly are they milking? Do you think that as soon as the content drops, people won't buy packs or arena runs anymore? What is the interest in pve content that shows this? Do you have stats which show any sales significantly drop for the rest of an expansion, following pve content being launched?
I imagine you have no real answers, you've just spoke before thinking and vomited your ignorance onto the Internet. You're foruntate society has got to a point where people like you are allowed to be so stupid. Once upon a time you would have been in a workhouse.
My thoughts on the matter are that they want to launch the content slightly later into the expansion to breath a bit more life into and help keep interest up in between expansions. If its along these lines, it makes perfect sense and is done in the interest of the player base.
I'm very interested in knowing how you've determined that taking additional time to polish content is pathetic.
Polish what content? Content is ready for years lol, they already have the pve content for 2020 and 2021. They do this every time with pve content, for one reason alone. Make players buy more packs for pvp.
If they release pve content on expansion release, trust me they wouldn't make the same amount of money with Hearthstone.
I'm not blaming Blizzard for this. Just saying, this is what they do, stop living in a dream world where money makers don't care about money.

Serious question: how does delaying the expansion give them more money?
Both packs and the expansion are picked up with gold or cash. Waiting a month means you can dump all of your gold into the expansion and still have 1400 gold or more when the expansion hits by saving up afterwards. That makes it MUCH easier for people to buy the expansion with gold rather than cash.
Given that, how does the delay offset that AND give them additional cash on top of it?
I'm very interested in knowing how you've determined that taking additional time to polish content is pathetic.
Polish what content? Content is ready for years lol, they already have the pve content for 2020 and 2021. Do you have any sources to provide onthis?
They do this every time with pve content, for one reason alone. Make players buy more packs for pvp. What is the economics and strategy behind this principle?
If they release pve content on expansion release, trust me they wouldn't make the same amount of money with Hearthstone.
Trust you for what reason exactly? Do you have some data or info you can provide that would have brought you to this conclusion? How does the PVE take away from sales of packs?
I'm not blaming Blizzard for this. Just saying, this is what they do, stop living in a dream world where money makers don't care about money.
One doesn’t have to set aside understanding of basic business principles to question the validity of your claims, nobody thinks Blizzard is not a business with stockholders, and that they are beholden to make these investors money. But running a business for profit and aiming to please your customer base are not mutually exclusive, in fact quite the opposite, companies lose money when they upset their customer base, so I don’t understand what them caring about money has to do with PVE release windows.
Maybe something to do with improving customers experience? They want players to feel like there are more things to look forward to before the next expansion hits or something. Anyways, it comes out 1 month after the expansion, and they don't want to reveal much about the information.

If you enjoy pve content you're not going to buy as much packs for pvp to stay competitive and enjoy the game, thus you're less likely to spend real money on packs. And when are players the most likely to spend money on packs? When the expansion is released. It's really simple I'm not trying to act like a business man or whatever.
Also I don't have a source for my claim that they have content ready for years, it's just, again, a pretty simple thing that big video game companies always do.
"Aiming to please you customer" as you say generally means to make them frustrated about something and offering them a chance to pay money to remove the frustration, meaning you don't want to give them too soon a free experience that is potentially better than the paid experience.
Blizzard has been very clear about their reason for not releasing the content simultaneously.
They want people to enjoy the main game for a while, not split their attention between PvP and PvE. They want as many people playing PvP as possible so the meta can settle and (my guess) problem cards can be identified and corrected if the meta can't correct them.
If a large chunk of players are grinding away at PvE, it takes longer for problems in PvP to come to light (and resolve themselves). That's just math.

The inevitable and obvious consequence of focuing on the meta and not PvE content is for increased focus on said meta...and how do players ingratiate themselves to this game mode? Buying packs. So fucking sick and tired of you disingenuous brown nosers who immediately attack someone stating how obviously the decision is solely a business one, not to let players enjoy the meta. There's naivité and there's blatent ignorance posing as self-righteousness; it's more than telling that the immediate reaction to these kinds of posts on this website (at least with the 2 odd years I've spent here) start the debate process with basic and nonthinking attacks on the (obviously true notion) that any decision to delay content is solely because of money, not in ANYWAY for our benefit as consumers.

Hmmm. Recent unnecessary nerfs that nobody asked for that killed off certain archetypes that were not even tier 1 completely.

Mana Wyrm Equality Flametongue totem Nourish
I disagree.
Mana Wyrm was a very powerful one drop that just completely squashed all other one drops. it also raised the bar as to what one drops for mage would see play. and it was going to be around forever.
look at Hunter's Mark, even before it was nerfed (the second time) equality was a major power creep on it. and especially after it got changed, equality was way to good in comparison. also, it limited design space for paladin board clears. you could argue that the change was bad because it was the only board clear for paladin, but the reason for that is because blizzard could not print any other board clear for paladin without it being too good.
Flametongue Totem was just nuts. for 2 mana you got 4 extra damage on the field that could attack immediately. and if you traded with your 2/2 totem, then your 0/2 totem is now a 2/2 that can also trade. shaman has not had very many good 1-2 drops because flametongue was so good. and it was going to be around forever.
Nourish I think just showed up into too many decks for too long. which made druid repetitive and boring. blizzard was tired of druids early game being nothing but ramp ramp ramp into a large minion on turn 5. so they nerfed the ramp cards to give other druid cards a chance. the reason that druid has not gotten very many good 2-3 drops is because Wild Growth was the turn 2 play in every druid deck, and nourish was the same.
basically, all of these cards limited design space, and were going to do so forever because they were classic.

Sorry for the bad english and the late reply.
No need to to apologize, your English is fine, thank you for answering my questions respectfully and explaining your thoughts behind them, it is sadly getting rarer and rarer for this to happen civilly. I don't think you're wrong about the PVE cutting into the earnings of the PVP, I just am not sure to what extent it does, it may be significant enough to risk angering the fan base by releasing it later.
As for the content being ready for years, I don't doubt that there are projects that when released have been in development for a couple years, but I would think that during that time it is being worked on actively in some capacity. I find it hard to believe that massive expansions are completed quick enough to store them away for a later use. My degree is in CS and I have worked for a few software development companies comparable to the size of the Hearthstone team, with large budgets and a solid team of Engineers. Even after having an early working build, our Engineers were constantly programming, testing, deploying fixes, testing some more, as well as implementing new ideas or adjusting for a multitude of issues that arise. Given HS is a game there are many other working parts that come into play such as the art designs, card creation and balancing, 3D/2D design, ensuring continuity in the theme, I am sure it is a tedious and time consuming process.
Given the changes each expansion that balance out previous issues introduced by the prior one, I feel it has to be dynamically evolving IMHO. But I do think there are many shelved pieces that are added in at various stages down the road, maybe a card design didn't fit the theme, or was too op/weak to work in that exp and instead of dumping the work they hold onto it for a possible future exp. Anyways, that is just my thoughts, I am not stating how the HS development cycle works at all as I am not a part of it, only drawing on personal experience in somewhat related fields of work.
