But you just simply don't play control warrior like this.
The sky is simply not blue.
I said it right ? It's true, i have the "control mentallity".

Quote from troubloublou jumpThe fact if you want to play this card in a control deck you wont survive the early game against aggro, and every control deck can easly destroy your board after Varian(lightbomb, twisting nether/shadowflame, brawl etc)
1. Why couldn't I survive early game because Varian is in my deck ? Could you stop the nonsense bullshit guys ?
2. Lightbomb, shadowflame and brawl most likely won't clear the board completely. Twisting nether will, but it costed the entire opponent's turn so you're still ahead, especially if Varian played some deathrattle stuff (sneeds, belcher, maybe even majordomo because why not)
This card require a different(not control) deck. Because as others said it doesent fit in a control warrior. And 8mana isnt an entire turn did you know?
Stop trolling and answer my question please, why couldn't I survive early game because Varian is in my deck ?
Edit : as others said it does actually fit in control warrior archetype, different control deck is still control deck.
You need many 6+ mana minions to make Varian work consistently, how would you call a deck that is slower than the current control warrior a "tempo warrior" lol ?

Meh, a class card can never rival Dr. Boom.
Even if Varian really ends up as the big bad boss, he's still a Warrior legendary.
The new Dr. Boom needs to be a versatile, neutral minion with a lot of omph. Too much omph.

I agree with the last two messages. We see who actually plays Rogue and who don't.
You should realize that nobody here asked for a Rogue buff. Oil is a competitive deck. Rogue is not in the Shaman/Priest situation
Nobody asked for an Oil buff either.
Since beta, Rogue didn't get any useful tool, any new mechanic, any new archetype, BESIDES the ultra boring Tinker's Sharpsword Oil (seriously, a whole archetype based around a +3/+3 ? So lame !).
And let's be honest here. Oil is just a worse Miracle Rogue, where you kill your ennemy with your dagger instead of Leeroy Jenkins.
Just look at the lists, replace Leeroy with Oil, Gadgetzan Auctioneer with Sprint, and here we go, we have Oil Rogue.
And yes, that means Miracle was broken.
You look at Rogue cards as if they were other classes'. It does not work the same way.
And EVEN if the last 2 (or 3 ?) class cards Rogue gets are strong (which I doubt, a lot), that will not change the fact that Blizzard clearly fucked up with this expansion. Those 5 first cards are crap and without any flavor.
How can you tell that Hunter got a worse expansion ? They have only three cards, and 1 (Lock and Load) COULD create an entire archetype !!! Ball of Spiders could be good aswell.
About Warlock : they cannot complain. They already have 2 top decks and 2 other viable archetypes. And I would exchange Anub'arak for Wilfred Fizzlebang anyday. Even Dreadsteed seems weak but a fun and new card, unlike Poisoned Blade. Wrathguard is a good zoo card and Fist of Jaraxxus could become good in the future.
So, tu sum up : 1 good card (0 for Rogue, just one decent), 3 new and fun cards (0 for Rogue).
And it's not because some other class gets crappy cards that Rogue needs to get some to. We didn't get Darkbomb, Mal'Ganis, Voidcaller, Mistress of Pain, Imp-losion and Imp Gang Boss.

Dreadsteed: Probably worse than Grimscale Oracle
Cutpurse: Probably good

Tinkmaster Overspark would say " This time for sure Blizzard reaaaaaaaaaally HATE rouge."

Quote from Stingy_Eyes jumpQuote from Sherman1986 jumpI of course didn't read all 15 pages of this thread, but the pages I did read, not a single person hit this right or even mentioned the current deck this card belongs in. It's a MILL ROGUE card. This makes it so that you can't be milled yourself and you always have something to play over and over, and it spawns 4/4's. It's not op of course because mill rogue isn't op but it does have its place.
I honestly don't know why I bother to read these forum threads. It's so rare anybody has a clue.
LMAO
A mill rouge card? And that it prevents you from milling yourself?
WTF
This card is too slow for mill rogue, and it returns to your hand after it is killed making your hand size bigger and ACTUALLY improving the chances that you are going to mill yourself after playing Coldlight Oracle.
Cleary man, you are the one that doesn't have any clue (and the two guys that upvoted your post).
Oh god i give up. Someone saying that this card somehow stops you from MILLING YOURSELF which is blatantly wrong, and gets upvotes while accusing others of not having a clue.
I finally understand how even at rank 8 a player is considered top 5% of a community. The majority of players are apparently at rank 25 and this forum proves it.
I was totatlly shocked when I read it, mostly because of the arrogance of his post and beign totally wrong at the same time, I had to answer to him! lol

Quote from Saberlazer jumpGuys Anub'arak is amazing what makes you think he is not. Explain yourselves.
Really? 9-mana 8/4 in Rogue? Rogues are supposed to play more with spells and have valuable minions, not many ones, but valuables. Playing this insect takes your entire turn and it gets removed faster than that Ronda Rousey fight.

What? Why would your hand be empty? Do people even know what fatigue is?
You have never played mill rogue, nor do you know what fatigue is. Theres so much wrong in that 2 sentences i dont even know whhere to start.
1) You dont even know what fatigue is. What you are describing is TOPDECKING. Fatigue is emptying your opponents deck, NOTHING to do with your hand emptying.
2) Mill rogue always have an abundance of cards in hand because of the coldlight draw engine. If you ever reach a point of topdecking you already lost. Mill decks generally have an abundance of cards in hand because of coldlight draws, even mill druid.
3) Mill/fatigue rogue finishes off your opponent not with creature damage. Its using FATIGUE. I thought it was obvious with the name but guess not huh. You get to the end of the opponents deck while controlling their board. You will have a surplus of cards in your deck from using gang up. You finish opponent off with a triple coldlight oracle fatigue damage for a million damage. NO ONE is going to spend 9 mana deviating from this objective and playing a huge minion for no reason.
Geez at least play the deck for ONE game before giving advice? People might take you seriously.

Im in rank 4 and theres so many control warriors trying out Varian. Jesus.

THANK GOD

Combos with your opponent's face.

You'd be surprised by all the inexperienced impulsive buyers around. I have so many friends who started playing when the mobile version released, averaging about rank 17. I had to tell them not to spend everything on TGT.

Who in this thread is religious about Kripp? Or are you just talking out of your ass?
In fact the most religious people here are the the haters lol (Like you). Its like they have some persecution complex and their free will/beliefs are being trampled on by Kripp or something, and if you actually watch the video its pretty mild, its quite comical the amount of hate he gets really.
