I was going to praise you for a relatively well thought out post, even if I did disagree with a couple of the conclusions, but your footnote is alienating enough that I don't really feel like going into a response since I get the impression you wouldn't much care anyway. By the way, if you want to get the attention of the "right people" perhaps you should try posting in the official forums instead. I'm not sure which right people you're hoping to reach here.

iMPose posted a message on How hard is the grind?Posted in: General DiscussionDepends on your patience.
Rank 5 to Legend takes 1 win for every 1 loss, plus 26 wins.
If you average a 70% winrate, that's 7 wins and 3 losses per 10 games, so you are netting +4 stars per 10 games. 65 games to Legend.
If you average a 65% winrate, that's 6.5 wins and 3.5 losses per 10 games, so you are netting +3 stars per 10 games. 87 games to Legend.
If you average a 60% winrate, that's 6 wins and 4 losses per 10 games, so you are netting +2 stars per 10 games. 130 games to Legend.
If you average a 55% winrate, that's 5.5 wins and 4.5 losses per 10 games, so you are netting +1 star per 10 games. 260 games to Legend.
If you average a 51% winrate, that's 5.1 wins and 4.9 losses per 10 games, so you are netting 0.2 stars per 10 games. 1300 games to Legend.

SoraPro posted a message on Dragon PriestPosted in: Dragon PriestI've been running Hungry Dragon over Dragonkin Sorcerer and I've found it to be a much better card in this deck. The 1 mana minion won't be able to get past your taunts, gives your opponent a minion that you can run into to take damage, then heal with Northshire, gives you a huge body for Northshire to heal, can trade with multiple minions or do big damage to face, its a 4 drop that baits removal protecting your later game minions, is insane if buffed with Velen's chosen, etc. It has virtually no drawback in my experience.

Lodjikus posted a message on Reynad just called hearthpwn a piece of shitPosted in: General DiscussionI don't think there's some sort of competition between reynad/tempostorm and hearthpwn. He probably just doesn't like how this website works and all.
I doubt that is the case. Reynad is the kind of childish person that looks down on people for being "worse players than him" in Hearthstone.
That's a bit rich coming from you!

Alper posted a message on Why do we keep playing this game?Posted in: General Discussion1) Hearthstone is a game where I can play while doing other things like reading the daily news or whatever. I can even respond in a proper way to the surrounding people. no angry girlfriend or whatever :)
2) I can collect in the game and do not have the feeling that it is impossible to keep up or to obtain a full collection at a point. I have always a feeling of "progressing" in this game. Yes, sometimes more sometimes less. If I lose 5 times and win only 1 time it is frustrating, but in the long run it is not this ratio.
3) Due to lacking time and having a lot of other responsibilies I like about Hearthstone the lack of guilds and so on. I can schedule the game to my life, my life is not scheduled to the game. It sounds as a matter of course but it isn´t. Someone who played MMORPGs like WoW or MOBA like LoL or HotS knows that the moment you are in a community with other players, you kind of feel obligated to be online in certain times, even if it might not be the right thing to do.
4) I like that I am able to make a quick game of 10 minutes while taking a coffee break :)
5) After a long day I can sit and play and do not feel mentally exhausted or whatever call it after being done with the game. I am not on adreanlin, with the need of half an hour to "come down again". Instead I kept my brain active in a relaxing way. Sounds funny, but isn´t. Games where you need massive concetration and reflexes like in MOBA or even Starcraft you push your body in a state of massive pressure, where your body reacts as if you are in a "life and death" situation, pumping adreanlin into your blood for an anticipated "fight or flight" situation. The only thing which moves are your eyes and fingers though, which causes massive problems for your body in the long run.

Remhouse posted a message on Does Dr. Boom Need to be Nerfed?Posted in: Card Discussionsuch argument, much wow
i didn't know how i could oversee this? a lost game is a lost game. damned... how insightful
clearly... if a card cant do instant 30 dmg to win you the game, the card is balanced... i understand it now... thank u very much
Nope you don't understand it. Unfortunately. Dr. Boom gives you time to react to it. Not like Undertaker or Leeroy or Starving Buzzard.
Dr. Boom won't get nerfed. Get used to it. He is a balanced card. I'm telling you. Your sarcasm won't change the fact I'm right. You can still try.

Remhouse posted a message on Does Dr. Boom Need to be Nerfed?Posted in: Card DiscussionI think, as kahgro stated earlier, the main problem with dr. boom is, that you can play him 100% of time, he will never fail to get value, even if your enemy has the direct answer in form of BGH, u still have up to 10 dmg on your board in form of the doom bots.
and that is simply insane.
now, his 7/7 body allready is "decent" on his own. if u add additional value to him by giving him 2 free 1/1 tokens, that is fine, but (also as stated earlier) this additional stats should come with a draw-back, a negative effect and not with a positive effect on top.
the random dmg to _only_ enemies is what makes this guy insanely strong. if the dmg would change to any charakter, you still have the insane value of 3 bodys, 9/9 stats for 7 mana. in my opinion this still would be too strong...
you either need to nerf dr. boom stats to make up for his strong positive effect or you need to give him a negative effect for having insane good stats. (and not just a possibly negative effect)
i seriously do not understand how anyone could argue this guy is healthy for the game?
Play Dr. Boom on a fulled board when your health total is at 1 HP... I'm sure Dr. Boom won't bring you any value. It is not an OP card, stop this madness.

Matt_Sparks posted a message on Shimmering Light - Rank Climbing PriestPosted in: Shimmering Light - Rank Climbing PriestI made a video using this deck for my deck spotlight series on YouTube. It's a good example of the current meta & how this deck fares against it. I hope you like it and/or find it useful!

I remember from my days playing this, it's very dependent on drawing a good 1 drop (upgrade not that good at T1), so after the Win Axe nerf I used to play Cursed Blade. In a control pocket meta I can see it being useful since many times those games are won or lost by 1-2 health points.

Ranks 15-16... Kappa
Can you tell us how it performs beyond that? Up to rank 5 maybe? Not being a douche, I found it really original!

Hi there! Just repeating in the more appropriate place the comment in the other deck
Did you ever try some surprises such as the spellstone or even Deathwing? Recently playing as Raza, I lost to a pirate warrior that had a hidden Deathwing at hand and, after resisting the whole game, dropped it when he was in fatigue and believe it or not, I didn't have any answer left lol. I've heard about some lists using the spellstone too for a stronger punch after multiple board clears in the mid/late game

Is this really legend viable still? With so many cubelocks/raza/armor druid in the Wild ladder?

Hi Gunnolf, better late than ever! I really appreciate it!
Regarding your question, I definitely think Rag's body is superior to the healing spell alone, since Rag cannot be ignored unless opponent has lethal, which souldn't happen often. So, besides him healing 8 to your face, his pseudo-taunt status is like another 8 heal, so...
Regarding the general theme of the deck, I really like the predictiveness of this deck and Emperor Thaurissan exodia mage over Auctionmaster Beardo's and Quest Mage's versions, respectively, which rely on rng and are not guaranteed to always happen, opposed to the first ones mentioned.
Glad to hear about your whereabouts during the holidays. Cheers!

Hey man, have you tried the Auchenai Soulpriest + Circle of Healing combo? I'm playing it instead of Pint Size/SW:H, 1 mana cheaper and besides, a 0 spell can be very useful with Lyra, for OTK with Spawn and even coupled with Pyromancer/Cleric shenanigans (which I'm also running). Besides, Pyro can be an additional clear against paladin.

Too few C'Thun buffers don't you think? I have a really hard time buffing him, and for the same reason it's never big enough to ensure a win.
