Busted. So multi-purpose. A 1 mana 2/1 that deals 1 dmg on battlecry is in itself OP and so much stronger than elven archer it's not even funny. But then it can also combine with any powerful minion of your own for extremely efficient removal. It's a must-include in every single Paladin deck no matter the situation.
You can't count the attacks together like that. First it has 9 attack, then it has 5 attack. That doesn't mean you can just think of it as a 14 attack minion, it doesn't work the same way health does. It averages as a 7 attack minion. For example, you can think of a 7/7 deathrattle summon 7/7 as a 7/14 minion, not a 14/14 minion.
So a 8 mana 5/9 taunt with battlecry deal 8 dmg to minion, or alternatively destroy a minion? It does get blocked by taunt, that's one thing, but still you're just paying just over 1 mana for the actual rush portion of the deal, since the 5/9 taunt in itself is worth over 6 mana, close to 7. It's got just 1 lower health than Ancient of War and that at least used to be a good 7 mana minion.
The heck is this? 3 mana to play a 2 mana minion, that even is random? Rather than getting +3 health, I'd rather play the 2 drop that I want, at 2 mana instead of 3. Premium 3 drops will be better than a 2 drop with +3 health, anyway.
