This thing's stats seem way too high with only 2 overload. Powerful card for sure.
It's definitely a strong card, but I don't see what's OP about a 6 mana 5/7.
Cosmic Anomaly has full vanilla stats and the same spell damage.
Calling this a 6 mana 5/7 spelldamage +2 is like calling Totem Golem a 3 mana 3/4, but it was way better than any spider tank.
Except that it wasn't. Spider tank on 3 followed up by goblin blastmage on 4 usually swung mech mage tempo into an unstoppable snowball.
Damn you are very dense. Don't even know Cosmic Anomalies stats and think that mech mage synergies will somehow prove you right that Overloaded mana crystals are just the same thing as additional mana cost.
How is this a response to what I said? Overload locks mana crystals on your next turn. Their argument was that Totem Golem was better than "any spider tank", to which I presented the spider tank followed up by goblin blastmage scenario, which won most games for Mech Mage at the time.
A worthy successor to Flamewreathed Faceless. Spell damage always feels weird, because the minions have poor stats and then you need to pull the spells for the ability to matter. But 7 health is enough to survive, 5 attack is enough to bait out a hard removal, +2 spell damage can be very threatening, and on turn 4, it's just good on its own, even if you have no spells you can follow it up with.
Might be good enough in Standard already, possibly pushing for a more burst-oriented deck, and I think it's good enough for Even Shaman in Wild, especially the versions that run Zap!.

I'm not sold on this one. Overloading 2 mana crystals is bad.
People recall Flamewreathed Faceless. I still play him. Sometimes he gives you a huge drawback next turn.
I don't know, maybe in standard with the overall smaller power level, maybe overloading 2 can be forgiving... time will tell.

Wow, you're absolutely clueless.
Good argument. Absolutely decimated everyone. Better cower in shame and never post again with your caliber of intellectuals dominating the forum.
