I am still hoping for Priest legendaries. I thought every class will get 3 legendaries, where are Priest ones? 🤔🤔🤔
I dunno if you're being snarky but there's already Gandling and the Abbess. Both of which are fine priest legendaries, just not for existing priest decks.
Which Priest deck ever will play Gandling or Abbess ?
Tempo Buff Priest, Tempo Dragon Priest, Lackey Priest, Deathrattle Priest. So far all of these are getting a lot of great tools from the new expansion.
All those tempo decks don't work because of the lack of card draw and face damage. What makes you think Gandling and Abbess will make those tempo decks work without card draw and face damage ?
Because they provide the player with huge tempo swings while thinning your deck. Pretty simple. And the whole point of lackey and deathrattle priest is to draw cards and generate lackeys, giving card advantage. You win the exact same way Control Priest does. Your stuff is just way too big for your opponent to handle. Dragon Tempo Priest has cleric of scales too.
The WAY bigger issue with a lot of the revealed priest cards so far is it makes Galakrond Priest worse. The pool is so much more inconsistent with Abbess, among others in it.
definetly some card draw for pala and priest. you can't compete against decks that draw almost the entire deck before the 8th/9th turn. rip acolyte of pain
They might add some card draw-ish stuff for Paladin, but Priest is all about card generation now.
Also never mind, Demon Hunter IS getting more cards, I just remembered. I dunno how many more (I think it was 5?).
Though either way we're still missing quite a few cards from basically every class except Demon Hunter.
I believe there are only 6 pure class cards for each class. 4 dual class cards for each pairing so there are 14 new class cards for each class.
I could be wrong about that. I'm just going off of information I read from hearthstone topdecks.
There're already 7 Demon Hunter cards, so I think it must be 7.
It could also be possible that Demon Hunter is getting more cards than the other classes since they are new? Idk. On their site, DH actually have 5 more card slots than all the other classes.
Edit: Apparently I can't count.
What do you mean by card slots?
Anyway, if my count is right.
There're still:
3 more demon hunter cards 3 more warlock cards 5 more druid cards 6 more mage cards 6 more paladin cards 6 more warrior cards 6 more rogue cards 6 more shaman 7 more priest cards *10* more hunter cards And then 13 more neutrals
I'm cheating because a lot of those are dual class cards, though only 1-2 per class (outside of DH).

I dunno, sometimes they just throw in these synergistic cards but wait for like... the next set to add cards that have synergy with it. But since we've seen almost zero pure class cards, I imagine, yeah.
Discover was introduced in the League of Explorers adventure, Adapt was the Un'goro keyword.
But Discover was always meant to be an evergreen keyword.
I think if there was gonna be more than one recruit-style card in a set they'd reuse discover, but when it's just one card I think they don't see the point.

It's more that it lets you recycle important board clears and other resources in control match ups. But I doubt the meta is going to be slow enough to justify it.

Raise Dead
Headmaster Kel'Thuzad
Guardian Animals
Ras Frostwhisper
High Abbess Alura
These are the five I'm most eager to try out anyway.

Yeah, Kripp is not really the best one to demonstrate this... Alec was great, though. He kept the stream moving, talked about the new cards.
Also why was the priest deck so awful. What even was that.

7+8 is 15. Which seems like a good number per class. 110 for class cards overall. Leaving 25 neutral cards.

BTW are we getting 7 pure class cards or 8?
Though either way we're still missing quite a few cards from basically every class except Demon Hunter.

Really like it if the synergy is there. Even something like Augmented Porcupine is all right here.
The deck thinning in hunter is also pretty nice.

I imagine there's maybe a buff card left for Paladin/Priest multiclass, and a Warlock/Priest multiclass card that damages your hero.

They could just rotate all the dragon aspects and replace them with the DOD ones.

Trent and Silver Hand Recruits are name tags. Not tribes.

We haven't seen the whole set yet. Turalyon is underwhelming, but this card is super dependent on what spells we get from the rest of the set.
