Palolo posted a message on Angry ChickenPosted in: Angry ChickenAnd I bothered logging in just to tell you how great it is to randomly find another Commander Keen fan. I haven't seen a Keen avatar in all my years online outside of fansites.
Great taste in games, brother. I think I'll play some Keen 5 or 6 after I finish my daily.

Posted in: AnomalusI guess I don't really understand the usage for this card. I just feel like there isn't a situation where you haven't already lost the game where you're playing this card for board clear when you could [Doomsayer] + [Frost Nova] for 3 less mana and a nearly guaranteed clear.
At the same time, you could look at it as 8 damage to your opponent's face every turn if they have board control and don't want to kill the card but otherwise I don't really know.
I'm guessing this card exists to be a counter to N'Zoth decks, for Mage only. If N'Zoth decks became a cancer, it'd be useful right now, when played with Sunfury Protector. However, imagine a future card in the next expansion that's a cheaper Aviana or the equivalent of the Rogue card Shadowcaster (only for mage.) Then Anomalus becomes meta-defining, and just kills N'Zoth and similar decks. It's still an awfully high-mana tech card, however. -

lolifofo posted a message on Yogg-Saron, Hope's EndPosted in: Yogg-Saron, Hope's EndI run it in my tempo mage and only used it twice so far as a last resort because I was losing. It won me both games. :)
The key is not to use it when you're already winning but only as a desperate measure.

AlexHeinrichs posted a message on Ancient HarbingerPosted in: Ancient HarbingerIf you have your whole deck revolving around playing that 10 mana card (C'Thun) to win you the game, it makes sense running one of this guy to try and fetch your win condition, specially when you don't run a fuck ton of card draw. I'll be damned if this won't see play as a one-of in C'Thun decks that can afford playing this. (druid with Innervate and Wild Growth)

I throw this into my Warlock Reno Zoo. Gets the "WOW" every time.

Does not expend mana when Counterspell'd

Turn 5 can be really fun with a Blood Knight involved.

I think this is the best explanation. After watching some "highlight" videos, it's like handling live dynamite.

"Well played."
