What I find funny is all the people defending this terrible card say all this crap and at the end of the day they will netdeck and never use damn thing.

It's clearly a joke card it doesn't have vanillia stats even though it's effect is an rng - stat neutral effect so he should have 3 or 4 hp and 3 attack. The reason he doesn't is because he's just another angry chicken card.

What I find funny is that some random person somehow knows enough about me to assume that I will do exactly as (s)he describes.

I am an innovative deckbuilder and will definitely give this card a chance. Seems like you never built your own deck before, as anyone creative knows that you have to give every card a chance and evaluate its merits depending on your own strategy and the meta / tournament you play in.

You obviously don't understand anything about probabilistic maths and this card specifically, as you otherwise wouldn't propose such incredible stats for this guy. At 4 hp and 3 attack, this guy would have be included in every single deck there is (except for Zoo) - that's how good he would be.

Before you criticize the work of others, start thinking your own. Goddamn it!

I actually fully run every deck as my own actually and I know this card is garbage compared to other card draw cards because 2 hp is terrible for a 3 cost minion the new standard is a 1/3 card + 4/4 for 3 mana right now if you didn't know see: Tinkertown technician.

Also since when did discarding a card at a 65% ratio, (based on current decklist spell minion ratio) Why would that be good? Is a 1/1 token that throws off your early curve worth it at all? Not really and you might even play the terrible 1 mana token till turn 6 or later.

Some classes actually don't need 1/1 tokens see classes: Paladin and shaman. Also other classes can do this ability: 1 damage to tokens not actually firm presence on the board. Do you run razorfen hunter in every deck I assume? Because it's about all you get with this card and it costs 1 less.

Show me the deck you will make will this so I can laugh at it.

He is correct in saying you arent being very forgiving to this card. In freeze mage, some kind of spell rogue/miracle and even a new spell damage shaman i can see this being a late game play into board presence and a much needed wipe or finisher. Instead of bashing the card, lets just say its extremely niche. I am also sure you will be seeing it and maybe even losing to it some time in the future so good luck out there.

    Quote from trialq »

The reason Demonfire is ok as a card, is because it is an answer to the very common 3/2 drops, and can buff a demon at a critical time (so that it survives when trading against minions with similar stats). The reason Demonheart is not good as it stands, is that as removal it's inefficient, and as a buff it's much more situationally useful, relative to Demonfire which is more generally useful. By inefficient removal, I mean it doesn't answer common 5-drops like Sludge Belcher well, or Loatheb at all.

As stated previously, I think one way to make it ok would be to cost 4 mana. This would make the removal reasonably efficient; removing most of a Sludge Belcher, theoretically trading equally against the baseline 4-drop minion of yeti, etc.

Alternatively, keep it at 5 mana but allow it to hit the face. This would be my preferred option personally. Giving it 3 options that are arguably sub-par for the cost doesn't sound great, but it is because that's an immense amount of flexibility packed into one card. It would see some play even in non-demon decks, just as a more consistent finisher/removal than soul fire.

I dont know what their balance reasoning was for this card but even if you do manage to pump up a demon, say Voidwalker for instance its 6 mana for a 6/8 that costs 2 cards and can be silenced... If its removed by an owl, your tempo is lost forever. Buff cards will never be good unless they are extremely cheap... I wont even bother touching on the 5 damage aspect of it because its simply out of the question.

posted a message on Gold Cards

Love gold cards, but i play on my 42" TV and i wish they would fix the jagged edges on not just gold cards, but all of them. Anyhow i am slowly crafting all the gold demons, of course its a damn slow process but its going to be so hilariously awesome to complete a golden demon deck, even if it is gimmicky (maybe not with GVG who knows). Recently i've crafted:

    Spectral Knight
Because it looks so damn badass.

Legends are overrated. You can always craft the ones you want later. You need to realize you need the epics, rares and commons and chances are you have a lot of the base set now as is. 40 gvg packs will give you a lot of the commons/rares and enough dusts to then spread out amongst w/e else you need or want from EITHER set. posted a message on 2100 dust, what now xD?

Instead of going through the legendary craze people tend to be into, i would be crafting what i needed to make my decks work in the new metas that rise up. I don't drop money of this game either but i've saved up enough dust to craft me a bunch of rares and the occasional epic if i feel i really need it.

posted a message on nerf Mechwarper?

Pint Sized Summoner is a 2/2 for 2 and the FIRST minion you summon costs 1 less. Mech warper in a MECH deck completely breaks the meta as mechs in themselves are just as good if not better than any other generic minion. You thought UT was bad? Warpers will be able to net value before there is any chance to retaliate in the early game. The new mech Zoo will be unstoppable. We will see.

When i first looked at it i thought this was great.. Now that i think about it, its not so good. Tempo rogue can use this along with thier 3/4 weapon to gain pretty significant board control.  In the order of usefulness against:

    Control/Weapon Warrior
    Control Paladin
    Control Priest
    ...
Hmm starting to notice a trend here.

WoW. Amazing card. And interesting. Stats alone for the cost are decent. That is nicly buffed boulderfist ogre. And then you can combo it, or just let it grow.

I miss that there is no decent late game hunter decks with strong beast mode. And this one is one step to that direction.

Not to mention that hunter still has more cards to be revealed!! EEEP THE HIGH CURVE HUNTER BEGINS!!! (drools)

posted a message on New hunter

As a person who has always wanted a high curve hunter to work, you need to constantly be damn lucky. Im personally going to strive to make this work but here are my thoughts on this deck:

Hunter is troubled with removal, this is certain. Need to capitalize on board control where luckily drawing into Call Pet will not pan out properly. As an example lets take Void Caller, the 3/4 for 4 mana that summons a free demon when it dies. Its conditions are, you need a demon in the hand, and it needs to die without being silenced.  Both of these conditions can be manipulated successfully where as Call Pet cannot be manipulated at all, except by overloading your deck with hand clogging beasts. In this deck i see a direct loss to any aggro and further loss to any high end control deck as you will be out teched and out gunned by popular legends.

    What do you do?

    1) You need to build tempo immediately and keep it with:
--Explosive Trap, Snipe, Mad Scientist , EagleHorn Bow

    2) Capitalize on small drops (Haunted Creeper, Croc, Owls) paired with Houndmaster
--Do not fall for the snapjaw value play, it doesn't exist. Owls are essential for silence, especially now.

    3) Load up on high curve winning beasts - The Beast, Savannah, Gazzy, King Krush & to a lesser extent, stampeder
--This is what you'll want Call Pet for, not  other midrange cards.

    4) Possibly pair with mechs as we know there are unreleased cards to come!

Ysera has screwed me over more times than its done me any good. Its a 20% chance for a board wipe but most of the time i get laughing sister, the power overwhealming or dream. None of which help much in any situation. Youd benefit more from a solid 6 drop like sunwalker, cairne or even hogger who almost guarantees a poly/hex or similar removal.

I am also not sure on how youre killing your opponent with only 6-7 real attacking minions. The rest is cannon fodder from what i see and once you match up vs someone who can remove even 3 of those 6-7 attackers you look pretty screwed. These are just my thoughts.
