MakiMaki posted a message on How do you guys play Hearthstone?Posted in: General DiscussionI just run the game as it is - full screen. If I feel like it, I turn off the in-game music and let some of my own music play in the background, but that's about it.^^

Faustivious posted a message on Should I dust both Naga Sea Witch and Call to Arms for 1600 dust?Posted in: Card DiscussionMy rule is never to dust something you don't have extra copies off.
This is my exact thinking. I only dust if I have extra copies. Even if I have 2 regulars, and 2 goldens of the same card. I even have multi regulars and goldens of the same legendary, and I just can't bring myself to dust them.... -

kizlyar posted a message on Should I dust both Naga Sea Witch and Call to Arms for 1600 dust?Posted in: Card DiscussionThose saying you ALWAYS dust afters nerfs are incorrect; some of us want to collect every card. On my F2P account, however, I will be dusting 2 of 3 CtA and maybe a Witch, but as that card is part of an adventure I'd prefer to leave it alone.

Velerios posted a message on Wild Mode Is A CesspitPosted in: General DiscussionLove it when people rant against a mode they have ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA HOW'S THE META THERE.
Secret Paladin does not exist in Wild. Sylvannas is played sometimes in control-lock with Umbra as a poor man mind control (but if it works, it is devastating)
What's a Jade druid? With Togwaggle Druid, i didn't see any jades anymore at all.
N'zoth? With the nerf to Cubelock, this should be less of a problem. Also in wild, Cubelock is much easier to counter too. Even through the nerf will not hit cubelock as hard as in standard, it will hit them. Voidcaller will be much more of an issue, but that's something we had since Naxxramas.
And NAGA SEA WH... WITCH; she's gone too; every deck that was strong against giantlock was also weak against togwaggle-druid; also togwaggle was here to counter paladins that were a plague and luckily also nerfed: hopefully we can now find a counter to it in wild. The meta will be shaken up and no, wild is not as much of a cesspit as standard is.
I'm looking forward for the new wild meta.

WinterbornW posted a message on Wild Mode Is A CesspitPosted in: General DiscussionThe only things which horrible are NSW (no problem in a few days) and Barns on 4 (which not so consistent), the rest is fine.
Btw, what are you playing in wild?

jeepers1704 posted a message on Why?Posted in: Wild FormatQuote from Chocobrownies79 >>since we all know matchmaking is rigged
these posts nourish and sustain me. I wish they could be concentrated into a syrup that I could pour over my pancakes.the matter of fact "since we all know Blizzard is pulling ropes behind the scenes to make me lose more for some reason." it's been a while since I took statistics classes but if you change decks and get an unfavorable matchup twice in a row that's definitely enough to prove matches are rigged. how do I make sure I get the other hand of the matchmaking where you always get paired into good matchups? is that only for people who preorder? -

user-20492089 posted a message on In Defense of Call to ArmsPosted in: General DiscussionThere is no argument to be made to defend CtA. The reason paladin is the only "on board" deck right now, and you don't see more decks like zoo is because Cubelock basically invalidates them. Paladin on the other hand is so broken that it manages to be tier 1 even with Cubelock praying on it, due to the insane power level the deck has against everything else.
CtA is likely the most broken 4 mana card ever printed in this game, and that's saying quite a lot(think about things like Uldaman, Goblin Blastmage and Piloted Shredder, which are no longer played in wild, while CtA is, on EVERY SINGLE PALADIN DECK).
Once Blizz are done figuring out how to nerf Cube/control lock, CtA should be next on their priority list, followed closely by Tarim.

Same person: ..."Why does everyone want to nerf Call to Arms and Sunkeeper Tarim."
Seriously though we can expect some other cards to be nerfed, not just Paladin ones. Just hold your horses before prophecising the death of tempo, we don't know what's getting nerfed yet, or how.

Are there really so many people out there who want aggro to make big comeback? Now I understand the mass hatred for spreading plague (yeah I hate the card too) ...there is a 'plague' of you guys wanting to turn hearthstone into a 'cow-clicker' so you can do your dailies 10 minutes faster apparently.

Activision has been on this path since after CoD4:MW. You don't need to feel guilty really, but yeah, there is no point pretending Blizzard is a breeding ground for creativity in the gaming industry anymore. I'm, fine with them releasing polished but derivative stuff (they've been doing only that now for years, from WoW onwards) - but the micro-transaction, pre-order, stock holder pleasing crap can absolutely go too far and their PR and heads need to listen.

These same companies use their power and wealth to buy up and monoploise the market, directly affecting the creativity and production within the entire industry. Sometimes 'voting with your wallet' is not enough, and sometimessaying it is is downright corpo-capita blind worship.

I have some symnpathy. Shudderwock decks have been brininging me pretty close to this point lately. I don't want to play aggro or some other type of cheese deck like Mecha'thun to counter it. I really hate being forced into a point where not even hearthstone crazy RNG can bail you out and you really ought to concede for your sanity. Thankgod for Arena mode.
More and more people are playing the freeze-shudderwock variant which doesn't even try to win but just forces you to hit concede to avoid the insane animation times. Seriously, wtf is that in terms of game design? IMO it's beyond the stupidity of Jade Idol, Undertaker, Mysterious challenger, Spreading Plague or Patches.

I'm getting tired of the random minion generation stuff. Atleast it's discover.

This card is straight up busted in arena, thankgod for the new bucket system, I don't fancy playing druids all day with three of these commons.

Pretty cool. I much prefer it to "summon random 8 drop", even if rag, by nature is random himself. There are ways to play around rag in advance if you know he's about to hit the board - this is the kind of RNG Hearthstone needs IMO.

Yeah I'm with you, for the longest time I've found Big Priest to be the worst archetype ever created by Blizzard in hearthstone. The most auto-pilot deck ever created, that either completely hoses the player or opponent based on it's own draw RNG. Turns the game into cow-clicker, neither players is really playing a game at all.
I don't really care how they change it, but if they ever get round to it, i'm in favour of any change, personally i'd "nuke from orbit".

I feel like we could easily direct the salty defensive big priest 'players' to the salt thread, honestly. 'Players' being a loose phrase - you guys could quote Dr Boom, "Don't make me push buttons", cause that is what you turn hearthstone into, push end turn, hope for the best on the draw, and win immediately or sit there and do nothing for six turns and die cause you didn't draw/mulligan well. What fun!
