posted a message on Patch 20.2.2 - Balance Changes, Quilboars In Battlegrounds Nerfed & More

Huge pig nerf in battlegrounds. Good. I love the way they play , but it was a requirment to either go pure pig or pig based menagerie to play BGss lately- and forcing stuff that every other player is trying to force is way too RNG heavy.

Also nice to see Shaman in construtcted get some love, and the crabrider nerf. Good job Blizzard.

posted a message on Less nerfing, more learning people.

I am one who likes buffs and nerfs, more the better IMO, I like the change-ups. I will say that some people are just gob-smackingly bad at the game, which is where much of the salt comes from. We're are not all equal  here, not even close. Imagine netdecking or watching a streamer with a tier 1/2 deck, spending some RL money on crafting it, and then still only getting a 45% winrate, once you hit a certain rank.

At that point your ego is stood there with it's pants down, balls flapping in the wind, and it needs protecting. So that is what your brain does.

posted a message on It Ever Was A Time In This Game When Only One Class Have Acess To A Hero Card Before?

Never want to go back to a hero card meta. Ever. Infinite-value-stone is not a game I ever want to go back to.

posted a message on So we are already back to an aggro meta?

Well, yeah they nerfed watchposts - these were going to be the basis of slower, but minion based meta - hell they were like the most viable usable neutral defensive tools for mid-range decks since ..i dunno, like sludge belcher or something - and now they are deleted.

Mid-range decks could have coped with Tickatus fine, and the posts help deal with hunters too - and they could have kept pace with Mage well enough post lunacy nerf. Rogue lost penflinger so the Posts wouldn't have been all that OP in rogue.

I do not understand the nerf for them and the game I am imagining right now is a lot better with them in it, and a lot shittier without.

posted a message on Do you guys think that they will keep making hero cards?

    No thanks.

They need to continue to move hearthstone the other way - over time we want less discovery, less mana cheating, less convert your entire deck into RNG clown fiesta and finally, less infinite value generation.

Resource management needs to happen in hearthstone again, and not due to insane cards like Tickatus. It makes for a more rewarding game to play.

I appreciate that this a long list and can't happen all at once.

posted a message on It's mindblowing how terrible Standard is right now

I liked Watchposts. They were the most interesting additions to hte game in a while for me, really shook up the early game, and genuinely viable defensive tools for mid-range, instead of just outright control and combo decks.

Now they are nerfed into the ground and unplayable.

Paladin still ripping up the ladder. I don't think any of us want to sit through a whole year of libram bullshit?

Kibler's suggestion of having Lunacy buff the spells by 1-4 mana instead of 3 would go a long way... things are too consistent at +3 with this small spell pool.  Adding to the chaos by swinging the mana cost more would be fitting, as well as a good nerf to effect.

Meanwhile, the shell of spell mage is still very strong.  Most absurdly is Refreshing Spring Water (not even mentioned on the first page of this thread!).  A 0-mana Draw 2 shows that no one in Hearthstone balance has any clue.

Kibler is toxic, know jack about the game, the only thing he was good was in Magic a gamer for losers living in mom's basement. So yeah, maybe he's the famous ManChild succesful playing TCG but about HS he's clueless and speak too much bullshit

Kibler actually engages with people that call him out like this, atleast on Reddit. You don't see other streamers doing the same. I don't always agree wth his opinions on the game but he is atleast giving his opinions from a well informed place and I respect them. He's a great deckbuilder too. Calling him toxic just seems unfair.

Why they always ask for responses on Twitter I have no idea, not touching that cancerous platform with a 10ft pole.

It's not about DoL played winrates. It's at 70%ish post nerf, which is insane in a vacuum anyway, but the point is, people like myself would hate it if it was 50%. It is what it does to the gameplay- it just removes any sense of fun, turns the game into a total clown-fiesta.

It just isn't the experience I want from a Online CCG. Watchposts, on the other hand, which got hit with huge (and effective) nerfs, I felt like were some of the more interesting cards to be added to the game in a while. They changed the game up, and I'm sad to see them essentially removed.
