Gandzo posted a message on #1 Legend Loyan's Bloodlust Shaman [WoG] CheapPosted in: #1 Legend Loyan's Bloodlust Shaman [WoG] CheapHi Loyan,
first thing - amazing deck! :) I've invested Dust in Shaman because of this deck and boy, was it worth it :) I feel I need to try to additionally explain why this deck is awesome because I see some negative comments, so here goes:
- When playing the Shaman, keep in mind you have two paths of game development - overload or non-overload. It's totally fine to keep your cool overload cards in your hand if you get cards like Argent Squire, Flame Juggler andTuskarr Totem. This means that at turn four, you can decide what are you going to do next since the opponent either suffered a lot of damage or spent some of his dangerous cards. But even if you need to go down the overload path, that's also ok since
- The deck is really balanced and the cards complement each other well. Combinations like Argent Squire, Totem Golem, Flametounge totem can really devastate the opponent. Of course, not every strategy is applicable in every case, but in those cases, as you said: 'No you don't, it's Hearthstone and you can't win every game'.
- Your hero power is awesome. If you have great cards, great, you may not even use it in a game. But if you don't have that mana that turn, you can try your luck and get something awesome. I don't know how many times I won because the opponent left my Healing Totem or Wrath of Air Totem. Even little Bobby OneOne can help you if you help him with some Rockbiter Weapon, Flametounge Totem andBloodlust, but also indirectly if you bring something to one health and you need that little extra punch. So if even little Bobby can be useful (even as a distraction for that pesky Fiery War Axe), you can image what the other totems do for you.
The reason I'm writing this comment because I was in a game and realised that I'm seeing the pattern that makes this deck so awesome, so here are some screenshot examples of what I'm talking about:
At the beginning of my sixth turn, from the hunters perspective, things are looking good. I had 2 crystals locked, didn't have the totem, he just killed something with the Stampeding Kodo and all in all, he thought he had a chance :) Enter the Healing Totem and Rockbiter Weapon. Instead of spending myself or the creatures on theStampeding Kodo, I let Totem Golem do the dirty work and let the Healing Totem help the Totem Golem :) So, 2 mana down, things look good for the hunter - and then it all goes wrong :)
End of my seventh turn, he did some killing in the meanwhile :), I drew some cards and again, got a useful totem - Stoneclaw Totem. Although it doesn't look like much of a moment, the game was resolved at the end of my following turn, so the point of this screenshot is - most of the time, either of you won't see it coming :D
End of my eight turn. Again, he did some killing, and at the beginning of my turn, he probably thought he had a chance, but unfortunately for him, I got theDoomhammer, smashed his face and on his following turn he conceded.
You may say "oh you got lucky, it could have been another totem or you could have pulled other cards, or the same cards but different order" or something along those lines but keep in mind - most of the time, if it isn't this card, then it's another one. The more you play, the more combinations you'll know, and more chance you'll have of winning. And when you don't - we'll we've already covered that, haven't we? (reminder :) "No you don't, it's Hearthstone and you can't win every game.")
I hope you enjoyed the write up, please do comment, and remember:
No you don't, it's Hearthstone and you can't win every game.
Disclaimer: I'm currently rank 15 with this deck (with my predicted maximum of rank 5) so one one hand, I do acknowledge the fact that I have no idea what I'm talking about when talking about high rank play, but on the other, it reinforces my belief that I'm correct because if I was a better player, I could just explain it better :)

Krisspear posted a message on Soggoth the SlithererPosted in: Soggoth the SlithererEven though this list may seam long this is everything you can do to get rith of him. This list basicly sums up how to get rith of any big minion, with the exception of directed spells. In other words I think Soggoth is solid as he is hard to remove, UNLESS you have a big board that can trade into him. So to stop this guy you need excactly:
The Black Knight - you need him in the deck, in your hand, AND you need to not have used him on something else.
Doomsayer - if you dont have a way of dealing with him.
Destroy own Sylvanas - This counters ANY minion though, and can be randomly counterd by having other minions on the board.
Deathwing - (But he counters anything but Sylvanas)
A very big C'thun - Cant really be stopped by much either.
Abusive Sargent + BGH - really?
Spellbreaker or other silence - But that doesnt really deal with the 5/9 body
Class removal:
Freezing Trap - Counterd by Soggoth not attacking.
Deadly Shot - Can be randomly counterd by having other minions on the board. (Who plays Deadly Shot anyway?
Brawl - Can be counterd by having no other minions on the board.
Enter the coliseum - Can be counterd by having no other minions on the board. (who plays Enter the Coliseum anyway?
Equality + random or AoE damage - Counters anything
Set his attack to 1 + Stampeding Kodo- Only relevant vs control paladin
Keeper of uldaman + 3 damage
Vanish or Kidnapper - But only postpones the problem, same with freeze AoE and random target freeze powers.
Twisting Nether (or Doom!) - to remove one card? Fine by me
Giant + Abusive Sargant + shadowflame - to remove one card? Fine by me :P
Multiple AoEs - still fine by me. -

This deck as a whole puts huge pressure on the opponent! Had Tunnel Trogg with 5 damage and [card]Flamewreathed Faceless[/card] to assist in the damage. I was ready to bring in flame tongue to give 16 face damage. Alas, My opponent conceded.
