And do you have any healthy problem with that or what? Does this affect your salary income or have you been bullying by your opponents recently?
Hey, sorry for the delayed response, but I can't for the life of me decipher what you're trying to say here.
Obviously they want to know if you have a healthy relationship with your childhood bully which may or may not be affecting your income. Makes perfect sense.
By the way, I get the 0-cost 6/6 taunt, but how does your Patches also become a 5/5 already? What wild magic is making that one happen?
I think you make an excellent point, but I don't believe it applies to all games and all gaming companies. So I wouldn't broadly say that the gaming industry as a whole is crumbling apart. Certainly, there is a great market for games that require a "subscription" to get the most out of it - but not everyone is doing it.
I think when we look at HS, the multiple sets a year thing is pretty normal, and the money you sink into it matches that of a physical card game. (which HS is modelled to imitate) But on the flip side, they have now given us things like duplicate protection, and the crafting system (although flawed in some ways) still allows freedom to get the cards you want without just opening more packs to find them.
I wouldn't expect to start playing any card game completely for free and be able to keep up with it without spending money and if they want to peddle the cosmetics more, then let them. Those aren't required for the game to be played.
So, I guess what I'm saying is: Fortnite may have ruined some of the gaming industry, and HS is expensive, but kind of still what I would expect for a "card game".
If you can get rolling, it's easy to stay ahead on board. I really want to try and fit The Rat King in here, but I know that would make it so Selective Breeder doesn't guarantee your 3 options.
Maybe still good? The Rat King does not require the minions dying to be beasts, so it could still work.
Oh, whew! I mean, if an average Joe like this guy can get to D5 and probably hit legend, then there's hope yet for me, too!
What a relief.
But, actually, what am I supposed to feel about this? Surprised to find out that famous people like to play video games? Hate for Blizzard for using famous "big brain" people in their marketing campaign?
These things all seem pretty normal.
I feel excitement to watch in the future a chess grandmaster streaming such a RNG based game like Hearthstone. That's a possiblity. Just think about it and all the things that could go wrong... Hilarious stuff! :P
I never thought about that, but you're right. Watching this guy streaming and rolling into ladder with his deck, playing carefully... thoughtfully... and then his opponent highrolls a win.

There should be a third option to vote here that's in the middle.
I don't love it, but I don't hate it either. It's different. The game keeps changing. I'm trying to just adapt to what it is and make the best of it.
I do prefer control decks, to be fair. And they can still make a comeback. Just rotate the quests out and put Reno (and some others) back into the core set. Boom, control decks viable again. At least in standard.
But they won't do that. Devs like 5 minute games. :\
Yeah, this deck was made as a joke to myself, mostly. I wanted to see what would happen. DH has two class specific murlocs now, I figured it was worth a shot.
I mean, I guess if I was really dedicated to fixing this game, I'd go apply for a job at Blizzard, get into the HS team, work my way up the ladder until I'm lead designer and then tell everyone to fuck off and make the game slower again.
Then all the apes who love 5 minute games that are over before they start will stop playing/paying and I'll lose my job and someone else will be back in charge making the big bucks and we'll be back to where we are.
Oh wait, we solved it. The reason the game seems to be in a decline is because of money.
And we as the minority (???) are never going to truly have fun with this game again until some miracle happens and the devs decide there are more of us than them and it's worth making changes to make us happy again.
Yes, I'd say your analysis is pretty spot on. Older quests were slower because the devs wanted slower games. Now they want the game to be faster.
So the built in inevitability of the quest rewards ending games, both the minion and effect they provide are probably very intentional.
It's really unfortunate, because I think what makes this game interesting is the minion combat. Spells should not be getting directed at face so much. But that's the game we play now. And you either have to join them or get out...
I'm so glad that quest mage is considered such a low tier, bad deck, so that when I lose to it I can feel even worse because certainly I should not be losing to such a low tier, bad deck.
What the fuck is wrong with me, huh?
Fuck creativity, fuck fun cards and fuck board interactions. Just get all your shooty spells and point them upstairs because you really don't need anything else in this game.
I was trying to think of a warrior deck the other day that wasn't questline, and I was picking cards based on just naturally how good they are.
And I ended up with a buttload of pirates, anyway!
It just makes sense to use the questline, then. Because the tempo lost on turn one is more than made up for with the 2 stage reward where you pew-pew the enemy.
I think what we have is simply an overabundance of just good pirates. Especially all the warrior ones.
Cannon guy and Smite are probably getting nerfed. But let's see.
Well, as a fun little experiment, I tried AFKing in BGs just to see what happens.
In roughly 15 minutes of being afk and getting beat up, I lost and got 43exp (with tavern pass)
Sitting in a mercs bounty and then winning the battle for about 30 minutes nets a maximum of 202exp (with pass), so it seems to be a better option for the time spent.
I'm happy that I can be part of a community that helps mentally challenged to have fun. It is great to see them playing tier 1 decks in casual, such as quest Hunter, shadow Priest and pirate Warrior. They emote too! They look so happy they can win. I understand don't worry, you don't want to play ranked because that could stress you out of losing ranks. I'm happy for you!
PS: We should take care about (in reality) mentally challenged people and help them. No questions here.
This is... the pepper thread...
Well... I said I'm happy. And said positive things. Seems suspicious?
Indeed... But, I'm glad you're happy.
Thank you for sharing your good vibes as per the thread's original intent.

Maybe I can learn some curse words in russian? :D

If they do, it better be Tinyfin wearing a pirate hat.
That's the only acceptable way to make that card.

Well, technically, yes. If the people posting here won their games, they wouldn't be salty, huh?
You're a smart one for figuring that out. Nice!
Do you feel better now, too?
