Mercenaries is a flop, in my opinion, primarily because of the crafting system. Players have almost no agency in which Mercs they can unlock, because they need to collect specific coins.
Obviously, the current HS crafting system is very bad, but at least you can dust cards in order to craft new ones. Mercs is another level worse.
Good news! That's one of the features they are working on.
It's a good time to remember that constructed didn't have things like duplicate protection at launch. It takes a bit of time to figure out all the quality-of-life features players are going to want, and then implement them.
WTF dude, i read three or four post of you in other threads and you are always on the company side, whats you f***ing problem? Are you from blizzard or are you the worst grandson of Stephen Candy??
Theres no difficult in figuring out that duplicate protection its the best for the players, they dont need feedback, they dont do it because they are just pigs who want to swim in money like if were mud... and they not need feedback about excess coins, they know from the beginning that no player wants to receive useless tokens, why you are always on the side of this monkeys?
People like you, who just love and defend to be robbed, its disgusting
I know a lot of people around here like to bash the hell out of Blizzard and Activision but I think it's important to always have multiple perspectives on all issues.
Yeah, they maybe could have prepared for this better, but you have no idea how the process actually went down when they were putting it all together. It's easy to say they are greedy pigs and there is no excuse for this - but once in a while, try to see it a different way.
It's like, when you go to a grocery store and there is a long line up to check out, you will wait a while, and it makes you mad. But do you need to yell at the cashier for wasting your time? No, you don't.
I see the cashier as the Hearthstone team. The store manager is Blizzard. You're free to yell at the manager if you really feel the need to, but I think the cashier is just doing the best they can with the resources they are given.
I could be wrong - maybe the Hearthstone team has all the time and resources in the world and they are purposely doing all this stuff wrong to intentionally make the players upset. But I like to believe there's a good reason for everything and most of the time, companies are in fact trying to make a product that pleases their target audience.
Hey, just wanted to post here and say thanks for this idea! I'm glad people haven't given up on priest. I'm hoping the unnerf to Renew and the nerfs to other decks might help make priest more competitive again, soon.
I built my own "res priest" based off your initial design, but I did it a bit differently. I went with a quest priest shell.
But the idea is similar, to use the new DR resurrect spell to keep big, healthy taunts (with healing and armour) on the board. I think the quest goes well with it because you can keep yourself alive with the minions while moving towards a win con. And I like that the quest rewards at stage 1 and 2 also help you pull from your deck.
Haven't played a ton of games with it yet, but so far its had pretty good results. And for some reason I seem to keep queuing into Demon Hunters playing the new Proving Grounds deck... which... unfortunately for them, is not a great deck to beat this.
I just can't say this enough, and I know I'm not alone... quest mage is just the worst to play against.
I know it's going to get nerfed, but is lowering the spell damage by 1 going to really make people stop playing it? I mean, I hope so, but jesus, I'm so tired of this shit.
I just don't see how there should be a world where we can go from this board state to a loss. I'm only alive to this point because of healing (Thanks, Cookie), but not every class even has that.
You can't play minions, because they have removal and freeze for days.
The only way to win is just shoot them back. Faster than they shoot you.
This is listed under "arena", so there's your answer.
An 8 mana (probably played for 7 though) card that can deal 10 to the opponent's board (with flexibility) is actually really strong. And since it can be discovered from a common card pretty reliably... well, I can see where OP is coming from.
After all these years i was hoping for male rogue skin, preferably Van Cleef
And here it is! But why is it so bad ? It's not badass looking, what is that smile/smirk lmfao..
I'm SUPER disappointed... but i bought it.
Noooooooooooo....
That's not good!
I am also disappointed, and I will not buy it because I'm disapppointed. If everyone thought this way, the sales would show Blizzard that this skin is kinda dumb, and they will either A) Fix it - or B) Make better ones in the future
This goes for every single bundle or offer they throw at us. We need to be critical of it and show them what's good and what's not by choosing to buy or not buy.
I understand that everyone's tastes will be different and maybe some people like the look of this one, but if you already recognize that it's not as good as you'd like it to be, then please don't buy it!
Well, so... Duels was the only mode i was enjoying since Stormwind, but HEY they buffed battlecry based decks (which include PIrate Warrior) and i would be absolutly fine with it. IF ONLY THEY DIDNT PRINT FUCKING MOTHERFUCKER MR YOUR FUCKING FATHER SMITE MY FUCKING ASS HOLY SHIT I CANT BELIEVE BLIZZ CAN RUIN EVERY FUCKING GAME MODE LIKE THIS, FUCK THOSE GUYS WHO ARE IN CHARGE OF CARD DESIGN, FUCK YOU ALL, FUCK THIS GAME
That was well said. You're not alone here.
I'm still hoping they nerf that guy because he's going to end up in so many decks, not just pirate warrior. Pretty sure that's not what they want to see.
The new card from the mini set Jerry Rig Carpenter would cause both halves of Hidden Oasis to cost 0 instead of 6. So people could pull out a 6/6 taunt on turn 1 or 2 in wild.
I am so sick and tired of running into quest mage that I decided to join the dark side and just play it. I've seen it enough, I know how it functions, I know how to play it. I'll just steamroll people with unavoidable face damage like everyone else.
NO - somehow, I fucking face 3 aggro dump druids in a row who all seem to be able to sustain board presence and kill me when MY DECK IS LITERALLY ALL REMOVAL AND CARD DRAW.
So, fuck that, I'll go back to my garbage piece of shit worthless homebrew decks instead.
And then quest mages come back in droves to fight me. Thanks.
Show me how its done. Because clearly I don't know how to play any deck.
Oh, coin + incanter's flow on turn 2! THAT's what I was missing. I should have thought of that. Here I was just drawing my other cards instead of playing the good cards. Silly me.
I just can't seem to have fun playing bad decks or good decks.
That description just dropped the PLOT like it's a generic movie synopsis.
I am curious about the next stage of the story surrounding the mercenaries though. And what's going to happen in the next expansion, too. What happened to Kazakus in all this? He seemed important!

Joined today with a new account just to boast? Alright, but why not just use your real account? What are you afraid of?
Also, isn't the character just "Sneed"?

You're sure that you've logged in with the same e-mail associated with your battle.net account from 3 years ago?
You definitely should be able to restore all your stuff but that'd be the first thing I'd make sure of.
Beyond that, it's probably a question for the official tech support forum on Blizzard's site.

Not sure this card needs its own thread though.

Sure, what's the full deck list?

Edwin's face looks a bit odd in this picture. I mean, I guess we're not used to seeing it without a mask but... maybe that's for the best?
The red mask is kind of iconic. Did we need this?

Well, enjoy that screenshot, I guess. The patch to fix this is supposedly being released right now/today/earlier.
