You see, tempo decks play differently. You said that you played it like oter tribal decks. However, it's very different from Murloc, Mechs, Demons, Totems or even other Pirate decks. The hardest decks in the game are arguably Oil Rogue, Mill Rogue, Freeze/Fatigue Mage and Patron Warrior. This deck is the spiritual successor of the former, so it's not hard to figure out that it does require some practice to master perfectly. I have posted some gameplay videos but I'd like you to play closer attention to Thijs's one. Look at how his plays are not obvious at first sight but when you think about it, it all makes sense. Now look at Matt_Sparks's one. You can notice that around 9 minutes in, he missed lethal because he forgot that Blade flurry both clears the small 1/2 taunt and deals the face damage. It's small mistakes like this which snowball a game in favour of one player. They aren't clear cut when you just start to play the deck. But once you get accustomes, you'll detect these details with greater accuracy. I suggest you read the guide again and watch at least a few of the videos, then give the deck another try. Also, don't forget that Hearhstone is also a game of luck. Sometimes that Face Hunter will get an unstoppable start or that Tempo mage will pull out a turn 5 Tirion Fordring while you have no Sap or even that Control Warrior who Brawls his way to legend. These games are not the ones you should base your results on. These should be dismissed as a product of variance. If you persevere, maybe you'll even find the One Piece! Good luck sailor!
I think this highlights a common mistake that people make. Sometimes, when you have to go through small taunts like Voidwalker, Annoyotron or Slime(in this case), and you have flurry combo, always check is your flurry combo will clear the taunts before attacking with your minions. It can be the difference between a win and a loss. Like Patron(and most other Rogue decks), this deck isn't too easy to master but once you know the ins and outs, you can react appropriately in every situation and beat nearly anything.
Great deck vs aggro decks and OP to the point of being unfair against Freeze Mages. However, I'm having a tough time vs Dragon Priest, Demon Handlock, Dragon Mage and Control Pally. Any tips?
Check the video by Caffry below if you're having a tough time vs Control Warriors. I'd say this deck is stronger against them than traditional Oil Rogue because you have more overall damage. The Combo Druid MU is also a bit better now as most have removed Acidic Swamp Ooze and Harrison Jones from their decks in favour of TGT cards.
Skycap'n Kragg is a fun card but he's far too situational. Even in Zooish Pirate decks, he isn't very strong. If you really want to, you can drop a Sprint for Captain Greenskin but the deck will be less consistent. You can totally try it in casual though ;)
Last Season, I climbed to legend using the Druid deck of Noctimus(Noti's) which was a classic Double Combo with 2 Shades of Naxxramas but also included an Acidic Swamp Ooze and a Harrisson Jones. After TGT, he told me he removed the 2 tech cards and put 2 Darnassus Aspirants instead. So the final version would be the exact decklist of MrYagut's Druid. Feel free to swap an Azure Drake for Harrisson Jones or Ancient of War if you're facing Weapon classes and Aggro respectively. Drake is better vs control though. You can cut a Shade for Living Roots but keep in mind that this will make you weaker vs heavy Control Decks. Also, Big Game Hunter is essential in this meta. It's the only reliable way you have to deal with Dr. Boom, Giants, Grom, Alex and a Buffed Mysterious Challenger. Good luck!

Patron(tech in Shield Slam if necessary), Greedy Dragon Warrior with Justicar, Freeze Mage or Pure Control Pally(With double Eq+Pyro).
2
Grommash is a staple in every Warrior deck bar Patron Warrior. I'd craft him first. Varian is can be replaced by Alexstrasza, Baron Geddon, Nefarian, Justicar Trueheart or Deathwing in that order.
