Believe it or not kid, cosmetics used to be something baked into games and not something you had to get mommy's credit card for. They used to be something that demonstrated your dedication to the game through how much time you invested to get something really rare, and no matter how much money you had you couldn't just buy it in a couple of minutes. Cosmetics used to have value as a symbol of status. Not everyone could have the Black Qiraji battle tank or the Black Proto Drake , so when you saw one you knew that person was serious about the game.

Now cosmetics are just dumb valueless garbage to sell to whales , and even if there are some that you can only get once through gameplay  you can rest assured that they will sell it back to you in the future, making it lose all the value it had. And it is all possible thanks to dumb people that buy/support this practices, just like you.

And why wouldn't we want whales to buy them? You do realize what keeps the game going and getting new content right? What a weird stance.

You can wait for such a thread and it is not even new. One of the many from the know-it-all-kind, brainchild of a Blizzard henchman wannabee, deliberating from its bandwagon, pretending in fellow travellers style as if he frequently visits Ayala and consort, with one goal...to tell you how stupid you are. No, no, Blizzard can do no wrong, they are always right. The meta will be ok, card design flawless, skill level is high, diversity will be ok al always.....so how stupid you must be maggot to even dare to complain once again.

Over the years they've come and on this forum. Types that behave like that. One goal to defend devs by default. Pseudo-intellectuals.

It is types like these that Blizzard builds on to keep the meta unbalanced, overly aggressive, undivers, classes falling from ladder, a mindlessly low skill floor, polarized, too steep RPS, permanently suppressed control to name a few. And don't forget the mindlessness of Tikatus and Zephrys. Hail to the target audience.

Well nothing to complain. The mindless target audience will be served again. Spamm, buff, burn, go face will rule once again. How predictable. Repulsiveness as ever with a cool smile. The meta must and will be aggressive. Fast paced they call it. And henchmen wannabees to defend the gods. By the way isn't it funny to see 'balance changes' all the time. So every new change is the unbalance of the future. Keeping the meta unbalanced is the permanent balance. The politics of card design. Chew on that.

Of course people go face. that is the win condition for the game.... anyway There are plenty of high win high skill decks right now, they don't show that way on the data though as there are too many mediocre players playing them.

Another wise guy playing know it all.

No I actually don't know it all, though it may seem like that to someone like you who just blames his games on luck.

I'm personally playing a deck that i have an 80% win rate with that beats combo, aggro and control decks. deck selection and building definitely makes a difference though skill is important too. I guarantee some players would be missing lethal left and right with this deck.

I know it's cliche but also use a deck you actually like. I don't actively try to hit legend, I get to diamond 5 and of I'm not playing decks I typically enjoy then I switch over. If it happens, it happens but the rewards are so minimal I just don't have the time or care enough to actively grind. If you enjoy the deck you're playing then it can just happen naturally. As soon as you start sweating about 'having' to win your next game, your normal game can easily go out the window and you make mistakes you wouldn't usually make.

Don't pressure yourself, if you don't hit legend, you're like what? A pack worse off? Don't sweat it.

Sometimes I'm enjoying a particularly casino type mage and won't see anything past about diamond 3 but I enjoy the deck so if I go back to 5 I just don't care.

I do really enjoy the pain zoo style though and used that to go from gold to legend with no sweat what so ever last month. Think I lost 4 games between d5 and legend but I didn't really notice because I wasn't pressuring myself to maintain any kind of win streak. It's much easier to play if you're calm and not over thinking ever decision because you've built it up in your head.

Also taking a break is a good idea, if you hit d1 then some time away isn't a bad thing. Playing when your mind is tired is another way of making silly mistakes or missplays and that's the case with anything competitive.

I use my homebrew deck, I don't like meta.

I think this is the best way to do it, but it's also the hardest. Deck building is a completely different skill set that many players don't even have. It was helpful for me to play some arena and use heartharena to help me track everything, it really helped my fundamentals.

Tbh I don't have a problem with hearthstone cards... Etc, I am a fan of this game my only problem or what I don't like anymore is that u grind gold to buy packs which takes insane amount if time to craft 1 full deck while runterra u can craft 3 decks in less than a month and even tier 1 decks and still u buy with real money but u can use this on cosmetics and u can even choose which cards to craft not all rng blizzard new track system is similar to this but not entirely and yet they can win bulks of money for only cosmetics cause wow cosmetics is best things ever

The only real way to gain gold at a decent rate past the dailies and weeklies is to git gud at either arena or heroic duels. I suggest using heartharena to do that, it helped me go inifinite on arena, though it does take a time investment. I personally prefer heroic duels because it's more consistent and the games are usually quicker.

Blaming luck is the fastest way to plateau in any game.

Truer words were never said. Your brain literally just stops working on the problem when you start seeing everything as luck. In standard (pre-wild actually) I used to think I had plateaued in ranked at 15 without grinding and that the rest of getting to legend was "basically grinding" then I told myself gtfo, git gud, and started playing arena, Arena taught me totally different fundamentals for the game, understanding concepts like reach, tempo, when to be the beat down, when the control etc and how they relate to deck building. Taught me when to trade, when to go face, how to read a deck without even knowing the deck, how to count my cards etc. after that I shot up to rank 9 (old rank) and plateaued there for a few months. then I got really interested in building decks again, made the right tweaks to an already good deck to make it better and shot from rank 20-legend in 16 days with only 2 days of play longer then an hour. however the preceding months I had also played every single meta deck to understand it.

My play through rank 2 and 1 was lossless due to how much better my play and deck was then the rest I entered legendary ranked in the 100's, but every newb that has plateaued at the skills they are actually using (as opposed to the ones that they don't even possess) will tell you that "the rest is luck".

Personally I chose to complain that they missed making the shaman hero power into discover (unless that's yet to be revealed) . So I'll stand on that as my personal complaint. As long as you could still only get 1 of each type through the hero power I think it would still be pretty balanced.

as for what all the zoomers will complain about, Economy, too many legendaries, too many new good cards to collect, with resultant complaints about how X is bad for the game rather then reflection on what new decks would be competitive in given meta.

"Like I told the other guy, my problem with Illidari Studies is a design phylosophical one, not a current balance issue (for now at least). If DH can now have excellent value generation, then its ok for Rogue and Hunter to get powerful healing, right? But wouldnt that make them look too similar to DH? HMMMMMM......"

I do not think value generation means what you think it means... Illidari studies literally creates 0 value. It's a card you put in your deck, costs 1, reduces cost by 1, is a card you have to draw, creates a card you can play. You literally could just put in something else. what it does do is help fill in your curve for better and more tempo plays... It's a tempo card, not a value card.

It is a good card though, that is true, but the only way you can argue it offers value is that it allows you to create a large minion what you would never put in your deck otherwise, like if you draw it late game, but primarily it's a flexible tempo card.

I will rope control players guaranteed, cant stand the arrogance of them

What arrogance? that they don't auto-concede when they know they have outs in their deck? Or do you mean the minority control players who complain about how aggro is brainless because they want to feel better about how bad at control they are?

    posted a message on Ropers

The only time I've had someone rope every turn was when I accidently roped with the mulligan and first turn. I played every turn fast after that, yet they insisted on playing as fast as possible, then roping the rest of the turn, so they were definitely doing it on purpose as they had no other actions to take. Apparently he was pissed that I was a "roper". I don't know, but for all I know it was the OP.
