Remember when 5 mana used to get you 7/35 stats of taunt?

Crinosg posted a message on New Paladin Quest Card Revealed - Making MummiesPosted in: NewsI didn't know Paladins were necromancers now.
They're not undead, they're Deathless, the Good aligned undead from Eberron.
These are the honored dead of Uldum, rising to help protect these sacred lands from the league of EVIL.

Borohmir posted a message on New Legendary Card Revealed - Reno The RelicologistPosted in: NewsThis can't even totally clear a The Forest's Aid board...
Untrue, It can as these are 5 2/2's.
I think you underestimate one thing about this Reno. He's a great tempo play, most of the times clear the board against aggro/midrange and put a resilient 4/6 body on the board allowing a tempo swing. Against heavier boards you are fine anyway cause that mean you are vs control and mage can handle it (return of polymorph maybe, playing a mirror entity on turn 3 to counter giants and heavy minions deck is fine especially since you need 30 singleton cards so the secret makes sense). I think he's well designed for the quest too, allowing to generate ressource with the new HP and twinspell make highlander more bearable.
All in all, people might find it uncool because ancient Reno was very powerful (win-game I might even say) but this version though maybe a bit bland is very powerful.

Kozura04 posted a message on New Legendary Card Revealed - Reno The RelicologistPosted in: NewsSure, it's simple, but it is also incredibly powerful. 4 6 is great 4 mana drop, and splitting 10 dmg is more than 3 arcane missles, so we have good play for 7 mana, but this cost less and it's one card. And it can't go face which is great

I mean, I don't know that it's worth the no-duplicates restriction, but it's decent in-itself. -

user-29541065 posted a message on Witchwood - Laziest launch ever?Posted in: General DiscussionJust you. I've been very satisfied all throughout. The pre-order deal is great, the reveals were decently spread out and the dump video was fun. I'm also pleasantly surprised with the new cards and I really can't wait. How is it possible that some of you guys can always nitpick and find something miniscule to complain about? I just don't get it. So annoying.

sicknantos posted a message on Witchwood - Laziest launch ever?Posted in: General DiscussionHonestly, I've felt this was the most straightforward release yet, focusing on the cards and not spending a lot of time on filler content in-between reveals. I was suprised at the lack of flavor content until today, but I can't say I feel shorthanded here.
Let's look at what happened compared to the last few reveals:
- No botched card reveals (remember Frozen Throne's massive day 1 failure with Ticking Abomination and then... nothing else for hours?), everything released on-time, and we even got an early leak, not to mention surprise card reveals on the final stream day from Forbes.
- A reasonable reveal schedule. Un'Goro (what may be my favorite expansion yet) had an agonizingly slow reveal filled with lots of filler content over way too long of a time period. I don't know about you, but I was dying for cards and all I got was another goofy video about an exploration into the realm these cards were based on that I couldn't see yet!
- Thanks to that shorter reveal schedule, we got to enjoy a severe lack of long-term hype over a single card. Poor Deathstalker Rexxar got absolutely hated on after two weeks of hunter players lauding AOE and a value-centric hero power. Nothing is worse than resorting to picking apart what little we're given than a steady stream of cards every day to keep us excited over the possibilities, not agonizing over the disappointments (there's plenty of time for that in a few weeks when we've all had time to play with the cards). That's a sign of boredom, and Blizzard wants us excited about expansion reveals, not bored and frustrated. This was the way to do it.
- Blizzard reps explaining most of the card functions that were a bit confusing to some right away (such as Donais explaining Toxmonger's synergy with Elven Archer).
I've personally found this reveal exciting because I didn't feel like I was being fed celery while I wait after being told I was going to get buffalo wings soon. This was all buffalo wings to me.
That being said, if the flavor posts and content is something you really tie into your Hearthstone experience, I can see how this was a disappointing reveal season. Hopefully the new meta makes that up to you tomorrow.
Best of luck out there!

Ohhhh. Now Haunting Visions makes sense.

Seriously. Not to mention Hearthstone decks are half the size. This card is bananas.

I guess I am the only person pumped to abuse Ice Walker with Genn Greymane.

It isn't that you think the card is bad, it is your justification. Comparing this to Starfire is silly. Starfire won't be played as long as Ultimate Infestation is a card that exists. This also has synergies with Minstrel, the spellstone, Shadowdancer, etc. Not to mention that you are turoring for a specific card and not just drawing. If you had said "this card is to expensive and understatted," you probably would have gotten less heat.
