enlargeyourp posted a message on New Warrior Card Reveal - Deadly ArsenalPosted in: NewsSo, people are valuing this card in a way that is not quite right, by comparing it with Dragon's Fury. So, this card has nothing to do with Dragon's Fury, for 2 reasons, the first one, is that being a obvious fact, it does not use a spell ( making it worse), but at same time, it is better than Dragon's Fury, because it's in Warrior, and that's what make this and Dragon's Fury complete different spells.
Dragon's Fury Biggest problem is that sometimes, it would do nothing, but Warrior has a fantastic card named Dead Man's Hand meaning you can force specific weapons back into your deck, and this is where the card becomes better. Yeah you might not want to run this in a No Minion control deck, with double Dead Man's Hand , but in a deck that only uses a single copy of Dead Man's Hand or one that uses a lot of minions, it might be worth, since you can force specific values AoE for 8 Mana, what is kinda good.
Still Warrior does have Brawl but, there is a downside of it, a single minion has to survive, meaning some times, you want a clear, but you do not want to kill all you minions, and that's when this card shines. Keep in mind that, you would probably not play Brawl in a deck that utilizes a lot of minions for AoE clears for obvious reasons, but you could still run this one.
So take Deadly Arsenal as a alternative for Brawl and not as a bad AoE, since it's trying to do a different thing, and allow you to develop while clearing a thing that Brawl does not.
The Card by itself does not look good , but you need to look in what synergies the class itself has to offer, instead of, "oh it's bad because no one runs weapons with high attack anymore".

Ruitas posted a message on New Warrior Card Reveal - Deadly ArsenalPosted in: NewsSo many questions about this card... Do the developers play HS at all? Do they have a grudge against warriors cause someone play pirates against them? (well that may be a valid one) Do they see that warrior is the underdog both in ladder and arena? Do the art of the card (Wich isn't bad for manga tcg's) match the line of the game or even this expansion? Do they realize that a lot of people love this game and when epic cards like this drop in a booster they make the costummer angry? Ohh well... I can go on by just reading a lot of the board comments. But if someone in the team read this tell the person who create this or balance it that creativity is a gift of a few and should move on to make something else... it will do better for us who love HS.

Atralb posted a message on New Warrior Card Reveal - Deadly ArsenalPosted in: NewsOk, so trying to understand the balancing of this card you can make in a deck. Just compare this to Dragon's Fury obviously. It cost 1 mana more and we already know getting a 2 dmg or 3 dmg AoE with it is really disappointing and which why control mages have dropped cheap spell, however great they can be (Frostbolt and Primordial Glyph, two mage staple) to improve the consistency of the deck.
Warrior now has got (after the upcoming rotation) Woecleaver, Gorehowl, Arcanite Reaper, Blood Razor, Fiery War Axe, Bladed Gauntlet, and Molten Blade as weapons.
So, at first, the obvious ones. You don't want to put Molten Blade along with it, and i'm pretty sure Bladed Gauntlet will appear as a 0/2 even if we can never be so sure when it is blizzard. As of now, i will also eliminate this one.
So now, we are talking about interesting cards but who have negative synergy with this card : Woecleaver and Blood Razor, or on-the-weak-side constructed cards that have great synergy with this : Gorehowl and Arcanite Reaper.
For 6 mana, and knowing that Warrior already has got the best (mana efficiency) board clear in the game, Brawl, which even cost 1 mana less, i hardly see anyone running this card in a competitive deck if not having only Gorehowl and/or Arcanite Reaper in their deck. So i would say right away this is not a Big Warriror card.
Now, is it worth considering cutting Blood Razor which has become a staple in slow, kind-of-control warriors, for having two 6 mana full board 5 or 7 dmg AoE, and subpar weapons in your deck ? We have to take into account that Sleep with the Fishes is now gone, and you won't need as much damageing-enablers as before.
For my "subpar weapon" statement : Yes Gorehowl is still pretty good in a control deck, but in 1 copy and not 2. But if you want two of such board clears, the consistency balancing dictates having at least 3 or 4 enablers in your deck, so you would most likely need to put at least 1 Arcanite Reaper and 2 Gorehowl in your deck (any control mage player knows that not having spells in the deck anymore happens sometimes, whereas control mage has a total of 10 big spells, so 9 enablers for one Dragon's Fury) . Those weapons now are far more clunky in your deck, not even mentioning that Arcanite Reaper in a control deck is really "meh".
Eventually i believe this will be a pretty clunky card to add efficiently in a competitive deck if no big weapon is released. However one warrior weapon has already been released, and i don't remember any expansion that got 2 weapons for 1 class, so i don't have much hope... Well future will tell !
I'm out :p

breach_deciphern posted a message on Why is ladder so competitive even at low ranks?Posted in: General Discussionmostly because guys with full collections like me are so bored of the game at times that we don't rank up, and that the game is unforgiving for failure. if you lose, you often literally just lost time. most of the quests reward only winning and gold earning is 3 wins for 10 gold, nothing else. I agree with you that new players should have like +10 ladder levels before they're allowed into rank20 where they can match up with someone like me (a player since Naxx) but that's something to take up with Team5, not the players.

They have applied enough pressure with Recruited Doomguards and cheap Mountain Giants early on that my removal has depleted by the time they get serious.

+ Prince Taldaram for more consistency

The dream curve

Replace it with a Gnomish Inventor, since the question of which one is better in this deck is debatable so it should have a very minor impact on the deck performance (maybe even a good impact, who knows :D )
2
Prince Valanar, for a start or Tar Creeper I think
2
I'd swap one Unleash the Hounds for a Deathstalker Rexxar given the amount of highlander Priests out there

It's now official, I have just reached Legend with this deck ! :D

Fair enough, I just wanted to be sure about the IP address checking. Precisely because you guys do a good job with this site I felt compelled to let you know about this case, since it's hard to keep track of all the decks and all the fake accounts.
Keep up the good work !

As a moderator, do you have access to their IP addresses? You must admit that 5 accounts created at the same time upvoting the deck and downvoting those who criticise it is very very suspicious...

Prince Taldaram ?
