According to tempo storm, the standard jade list (plus mulch) is the best wild deck right now....

Why do they need to do anything? Pirate warrior and murloc paladin counter quest mage fairly well. -

MageroCore posted a message on Druid is virtually unbeatable and this needs to be changed fastPosted in: General DiscussionI wasn't around for the Patron meta, and I get why the nerf did happen, but even as a post-nerf joining player, I think that was too harsh.
It's also worth noting that all previous shit metas pretty much revolved around aggro decks and not every deck having the right tools to consistently fight back. I'd say that as of now, we have the best versatility available to deal with aggro decks of all kinds. They'd still have a high win rate, but at least, as a community, we wouldn't feel as cheated in their constant victory. I mean, most of the time, I can configure my "fun" decks and still have a decent anti-early aggro set of cards without needing to sacrifice half of my personal flavour just to avoid death on turn 4.
Jades have just become oppressive. You can either auto-concede three quarter of your matches, play a highly teched version of Highlander Priest, a super aggro deck, or you can enjoy 15 minutes matches that ALWAYS end in your defeat.
tl;dr bringing up past metas in this case is as relevant as dismissing an aggressive tumour purely because the patient has suffered an especially severe cold in the past.

EverBrawl posted a message on Join me in boycotting the next expansion.Posted in: General DiscussionIMO the meta is bad and stale precisely b/c of the cost of HS. When most players just save 5-10 k for the upcoming expansion they get enough dust for maybe 1-2 new meta decks . They wait 2 weeks, craft the top meta cancers and play it for half year. How do we expect versatility when most players don't have big collections? OFC they'll play the most powerful decks over and over and over....just b/c the majority can't / don't wanna spend real money or can't / don't wanna play HS for 6+ hours a day. Can we really blame the players on that ?

iandakar posted a message on Is it worth creating cards from the old gods and mean streets expansions anymore?Posted in: Card DiscussionIf you just play standard you can always dust everything in an expansion once it rolls out to get some of your investment back. This is what I do. I'm more or less F2P as well (only bought a couple adventures and no packs), and I had basically all the useful cards for all classes up through un'goro. I'm still missing a some from frozen throne, but I've probably only opened 60 or so packs thus far.
So yeah, if you want to play it, go for it. It'll be a while before the rotation. We have one more expansion this year, and then it'll rotate out with the expansion after that in early 2018.
You lose 3/4th of your investment if you are dusting everything you craft. That's alright if you are using it for 2 years prior to it (though personaly I recomment avoiding mass dusting). But using cards for half a year then dusting them.. .umm.THAT SAIDI'd make crafting last year's cards an option but not a priority. Thus if you can find another deck that needs more recent cards I'd go for that first. After that..well, crafting 4 rares of last year I'd deem ok enough if it means access to a particular deck. However, you have to include the legendary. So honestly it's NOT the older cards that bother me but the DK legendary.Basically, is there really no other legendary you really want as much if not more than shaman's DK? Have you gotten some of the other ones you may want yet? If not and you are really ok with crafting Shaman DK then sure go ahead and grab the 4 rares as well. But BE SURE about the DK shaman card first. This is from a person who bought 2 classic legendaries I don't really use anymore and realized later I still don't have staples like Van or some of Paladin's more useful recent legendaries. As a F2Per you need to be very careful where you dump your dust because those are cards you are stuck with and you tend to not be able to focus much on the ones you missed later due to the next expansion coming up. Thus make sure the 'fun' you are after seems more long term rather than just hype. -

Velossel posted a message on Ben Thompson and Ben Brode Twitter Q&A - Sarge, More Classes, RNG, Ladder, and MorePosted in: NewsYeah the problem isn't jade druid or ramp druid or aggro druid, the problem is that druid has virtually no weakness. Druid was already strong, but it wasn't overpowered, you were weak against aggro and some control. Now it is beyond broken due all the tools it has received this expansion, tools like Spreading Plague just shut down aggro entirely and often wins the game on the spot. Malfurion the Pestilent destroys aggro and control alike. Ultimate Infestation it's just ridiculously strong against everything
These cards are strong enough on their own and ludicrous with the insane amounts of ramp that druid has at their disposal in addition to cards such as Innervate.
Blizzard fucked up with druid and it to be fixed fast.

OldsFirenza posted a message on Ben Thompson and Ben Brode Twitter Q&A - Sarge, More Classes, RNG, Ladder, and MorePosted in: NewsI'm fine with the wait and see on Druid and Arena... for 4 weeks. After 4 weeks (millions of games) I want them to speak very clearly about what conclusions their data shows, and what actions they're going to take with changes (if any) to be implemented the following week. Waiting 6 or 7 weeks is just inexcusable. It's a shame the whole client has to be updated for constructed updates, but I've literally never read a complaint about downloading the latest patch, but entire novels on the state of the meta. In fact, it would be easier if they always planned for a balance patch 1 month after a release now that every release is 130+ cards. The first month is basically PTR.

Some of us are missing the monthly cardsbacks from the times we did not play.
Blizzard is thinking the way to allow us to get these cardbacks.
How about crafting them for dust? Is this idea OK for you? And how much dust should be a cardback? (I made a poll)

If you have 6 legendaries out of nine, you have 33,33% chance to get a missing one, not 22,22%

I like this character. Also, it's inspired by one Tawern Brawl

You are kucky. When I played the Ligytwell or Acolyte, the Orc went directly for them.

II just can't express how much I hate this heroic boss! Two superaggresive fights one after another with a reset in between!

Chosen of Elune is a bad design. It would be either an extremely overpowered (full crystals) or very very shitty (empty crystals) card.
Empty crystals version: You play the Chosen of Elune.
Opponents turn, he starts with 10 crystals filled at the beginning of turn. He plays a big minion (Ragnaros, for example) and kills your Chosen (mage pings him, rogue kills him with his weapon etc.)
It's your turn, you gain 1 mana crystal.
