posted a message on Should I craft some Carnivorous Cubes?

Aye, craft them. Even if you don't play cubelock, they are just one of those neutrals that have such high value that they can fit in a LOT of different decks.

Wild is my kind of town for those beasties =p

Is Cavern Dreamer class specific with the spells it spawns?

Yeah it's a good card until you get the odd match were rng works against you and you start getting spells that would normally cost 1 but now are "nerfed" and devalued because they were upped in cost.  But that's just the nature of rng.

    Quote from Tykaine >>

There will probably be more to come, they seem determined to keep dragons alive. Since BRM there have been 5 expansions with some dragon support.

Similar with murlocs, almost every expansion comes with a few more of those little buggars and their core support are basic/standard cards.

Shame they gave up with the mechs after GvG...well, there was Clockwork Knight in TGT but that never saw much use.

Well in all fairness, they SHOULD keep Dragons alive, as they're one of Hearthstone's core/original tribe tags. That said, the one of dragon support card for paladin made me scratch my head too as was pointed out already, the other pali dragon cards are in wild. It would've been nice if Pali got more dragon cards if that's what they wanted to do.

I agree with mechs as a tribe as they're my favorite tribe of all time, since GVG you're lucky to get one maybe two mechs every other expansion. When the legendary warrior tower thing was announced for witchwood I though for sure that thing was a mech at the very least since ship's cannon was given the mech tag, but no. For some head scratching reason its tribeless.

posted a message on Blizzard has announced a balance patch is coming AFTER the HCT Playoffs

Well, Doomguard at the very least might be an easy solution: don't nerf it just rotate it down into hall of fame. That way wild can still have fun with it but in standard it doesn't have to be so toxic.

As for the rest of the cards:

Lackey and Call to Arms I could easily see nerfing just the mana cost. Up them both in mana by 1 or 2 and I think they'll be fine.

Dark Pact: If they want to nerf this card, how about changing it to "kill a friendly DEMON to gain 8 life"? That way the spell's more warlock appropriate and fits with the class's identity.

Funnily enough I personally didn't have any problems with Tarim. If they must nerf him though again just up his mana cost by 1.

Spiteful is the only card that I agree with that needs to be nerfed to the ground. Sorry but with high rolling cards like Tyrantus spawning so much more this meta it's not exactly healthy for the game.

posted a message on Rename "Charge" again

No they don't. Charge IS  a different mechanic than rush.

Charge allows a minion to swing at the face on the same turn it's played.

Rush ONLY allows a minion to swing at other minions on the same turn it's played.

    That's the difference.

posted a message on Give classic 1 expansion every year?

So, here's my thoughts on the matter.

From now on, Blizzard promises 3 new expansion sets for hearthstone each year.

From time to time, Blizzard has been known to cycle cards from classic down to the hall of fame while merely nerfing basic set cards.

That said, if Blizzard keeps following patter, sooner or later classic is going to have a problem when its card pool shrinks to small when compared to other sets.

I've read suggestions from all over the board that range from cycle cards back into standard from the hall of fame to BUFFING cards that don't see play. But even then, those solutions don't fill in all of the holes the cycling leaves behind.

So here's my thing...should Blizzard dedicate 1 of its 3 new set releases to the classic set? My idea is that by doing so, not only does it fill in the holes the old cycles leave behind, but new classic cards still add much needed freshness to the game.

Also, by doing this, Blizzard my be less hesitant to cycle other over powered cards from classic to the hall of fame. If there's less fear of depleting classic all together, it may actually encourage Blizzard to act more often than they do.

Not to mention that by doing this, it would encourage everyone from streaming "whales"/pros to new or casual players to keep buying packs from classic as well as their other expansions.

What does every one else think?

    Quote from VirginMinion >>

Man, first of all, even if they reveal some info, we are still talking about a computer game, which means that the info they will give you might not even be close to reality in order to be simple so you can understand them, as your knowledge of programming is just as good as your knowledge of what happened in the planck time. As you might know, RNG means random number generator, but have you ever thought how randomly a computer can produce numbers so that you can run a program to reach a specific result? I presume that you ‘ve not, so in case you ‘ve heard of pseudoRNG, some times you can produce random numbers that obey certain probability distributions, but even if they give you those distributions what will you be able to understand?

As for packs, i assume there is a variable that stores how many packs you ‘ve bought with reall money, but i suppose that its effect is still random+you need to spend at least 100$ to make a difference.

PS 1. You are a bad player, i hit rank 8 during the first month i played (August 2016) with a cheap hunter deck, and i also got a friend that started playing 2-3 months ago and has been hitting ranks 5 consistently. So i will say that first you have to test your skills in the arena, try to maintain an average of 4-5 wins so that you can say that you are a skilled player, and then blame the system.

PS 2. Apart from paragraphs, reddit is also your friend, blizzard reads it more than hearthpwn i think.

That's something I've always wondered about. Why does Blizz pay more attention to reddit than hearthpwn? Hearthpwn is the one with all the decklists and card lists and guides.
Also I should point out that I don't use reddit, so if they do the same exact same things there then whoopsie on me. I just figured that hearthpwn would be the more official "unofficial" internet home of blizzard communication with the community since its a site directly associated with one of their games.

posted a message on So I got Lilian Voss...

Some cards are made for constructed. Others are made for arena.

I think Voss fits in the later category.

Also just remember this: with out cards that are considered "bad" by meta standards, how could there be "good" cards or a "meta"? There has to be bad with good and good with bad otherwise there can be neither.

Trust me if Blizzard truly wanted to be dicks about their game they could be doing it in a lot more obvious ways. Sometimes people need to stop seeing conspiracies were there is none.

posted a message on 2018 Expansion Predictions?

Since we probably won't see monk added as a class to the game, I'd still like to see an expansion for Pandaria. Maybe they could come up with some weird compromise like they did with the Death Knight class for the pandas.

We all know that they gonna nerf Brawl and Lightning storm.., oh wait

You say that but last time people were complaining/requesting nerfs for Jade Idol, Hex got nerfed instead which caused a lot of head scratching.
Blizzard doesn't make sense with their priorities sometimes.
I'm praying Creeper and Warlock Weapon gets the nerf more than anything. That weapon is causing way to many problems for the current meta.

posted a message on Does Doomguard need HoF’d?

Doomguard isn't exactly high on my list of priorities to send down to the hall of fame. It's powerful yes, but not broken.

I'd be more worried about getting Ice Block down to the hall of fame first. I consider myself a huge mage player and even I think that card is cheating.  It allows mages to ignore what your opponent's doing to the point where the mage is basically playing against itself. They either stall until they get the necessary burn/combo pieces or they scoop.

posted a message on New Hunter Card Reveal: To My Side!

Honestly I'd rather play call of the wild...sure it's an extra 3 mana but at least you're guaranteed the 3 companions, with out a specific deck build around this card it's basically a 6 mana animal companions. ^ mana for 1 of the 3? No thanks. As bad as Call of the Wild is right now I'd prefer that to the new spell any day.

posted a message on What is wrong with hearthstone?

Guys its not that bad. Try using your own skills at deck building and not relying on hearthpwn to hold your hands for you...it might work wonders in how you see the game. You might even see new ways of looking at cards you've overlooked previously.

R u nuts? Did they bribe you for being that dumb?

     No he's right.
There are three types of gamers who play this game: Agro, control, and combo/late game. Unfortunately for all of the Agro style players, Blizzard has been focusing a lot more on the latter two types of players. And it's glorious. When the majority of the gaming population in your product is focused on having FUN, can you blame Blizzard for driving the direction of the game more in the majority 2/3 of the population?
A lot of us got sick of losing on turns 4-6 back when agro was THE meta to fight all they way up through Blackrock. Since then they've heard the voice of wisdom and decided to start slowing the meta. It's a snails pace slow down granted, nothing huge can change it that much over night, but it has been happening gradually. Frankly I was sick of losing before I could play a single card simply because back in the days of pre TGT even all the opponents had to do were build decks using minions that only cost 1-2 mana each.
Slowing the meta down and making the cards more about fun might ACTUALLY make ranking EASIER for not only f2p players, but fun deck players as well, guy. All in all it's probably a good move in the interest of the whole game's health, because once you tick off enough casual players and they ALL stop ranking, how many of you ranking would be left? How toxic would ranking be then?
All in all sometimes Blizzard has to think of the game's health above the needs of the few. Card quality might be bad in YOUR opinion BUT that also depends on what type of gamer you are. IF your one of the more heavily competitive/aggressive (not meaning card cheapness hear but aggressive over all as a gamer), then I suggest you take a step back and take some time for reflection. Are you judging these cards for the good of the community, or for the good of YOU because the cards don't fit your play style?

posted a message on New Rogue Secret Card Reveal: Evasion

Exactly that's the difference between the two...Ice Block you have to face the lethal damage before you become immune . This secret pops on ANY turn you take some damage.

Why it says immune and not stealth though is beyond me, stealth fits the rogue flavor more.
