posted a message on New Druid Card - BEEEES!!!

    Oh man.

Effect wise, the card is decent enough.

But why Blizzard? Why? Why did it HAVE to be bees, of all things? *Shutters*

Why couldn't have it been squirrels? Or rabbits? Or Puppies?

posted a message on Nerf Conjurer's Calling next please

I agree that something should be done with this spell but HOW?

Twinspell is the main gimmick of the entire expansion, they aren't just gonna erase it from one of the like few cards that have it. Nerfing it to costing 4 or 5 does virtually nothing as a card like this still gets strong value regardless of mana cost as long as giant cards exist.

Maybe it's time to rotate mountain giant to the HOF? Lots of decks have been getting value from him lately and cards have been nerfed/rotated for less. I mean with out broken cards like mountain or sea giants being cheated out Calling is no were near as strong amongst the lower costing mana cards.

As long as Finley isn't shoehorned into being about Murloc tribal, should be a good time.  My concern with Reno is they'll do too much just cause he's popular to us, not cause he's an interesting character.

Uhhhh, hate to break it to you, but Finley IS a murloc. Kinda the point of his character. Therefore his effect should deal with murlocs.

As for who's my favorite League of Explorer...that honor is a toss up between Elise and Reno. Probably Reno though. Highlander decks were the best back in the day and still my fav play style in wild.

Literally exactly what they said about Yogg himself before the release of Old Gods.

I wonder if people will be less angry about it as a Mage-only card.

At the time, Yogg had a few more things going for him, though: (with luck) he was a tempo play, and you could manipulate your luck with more spells.

Here, you're capped at 10 spells (so you reduce your chances of clears), and you aren't "guaranteed" the 7/5 body.

You weren't necessarily guaranteed the 7/5 body with Yogg either...I can't tell you how many times I played him only for him to cast a twisting or a morph spell on himself but it was quite a bit. Not to mention all those pesky kill commands and other hunter removal spells he's accidentally cast on himself too.

Yogg was a bad ass and fun to play card though regardless. In a game match up were your opponent was supposed to be "favored", Yogg tended to change things drastically.

Ah yes, I forgot about the other classes already being "taken".

Didn't realize they were going for class splits like they have for Meanstreets I guess.

I'm still excited to see what Reno has to offer the mage class though. I just hope he helps builds better decks than these stupid conjurers calling decks, I'm tired of mage suddenly relying on giants when before our class identity was supposedly about burn spells/board clears.

posted a message on Hearthstone: The Hipocrisy and the Scam!

Dude, they just changed the card arts. For better or worse, changing the art has ZERO effect on gameplay.

Therefore Blizzard in reality owes you ZERO dust for the card changes. They only offer refunds for the cards that get nerfed in Mana or card effects get changed.

Believe me I share your frustration with their blatant and outright lies on this matter, that was a terrible PR post that us in the labor world call "lip service", were they just say something to shut up raging fans.

But snapping back at them blindly like this will get you no wear. Especially since Blizzard for the most part avoids hearthpwn anyways.

Trust me there are scams and lies being told but in this case dust has nothing to do with it. It's all china/pr nightmare nonsense that blizzard is trying to deal with as a company, we're (the player base) just the poor schmucks caught in the middle.

Interesting they gave Reno to the Mage class. As a mage player I'm not complaining, but surprised non-the-less. When it comes to trying to give these characters a class, Mage was never one I thought of for Reno. He just doesn't scream "mage" to me.

I figured if anything he'd go to Paladin and Finley would go to shaman, since the murloc quest and a good chunk of his hearthstone bretheren cards and related spells reside in that class.

Brann SHOULD go with Warrior since his brother is already a hero skin for the class.

Either way I'm stoked and looking forward to seeing these characters' effects, I just hope Reno's is still highlander based so I can use him in my old reno/kazakus builds.

posted a message on What has happened with Casual?

People are afraid to lose stars in rank, so they come to casual when they just want to farm gold. It sucks, I know. I usually stick around both casual modes to get away from cancer rank decks myself but unfortunately both casuals are getting so bad you can't accomplish anything unless you use netdecks yourself. I feel even more disgusted when people bring big priests to casual wild.

So trust me, I feel your pain. Unfortunately it's just something that happens with every game, People are terrified of losing so netdecking will always be a thing.

Man, so awesome. That trailer had a "Fairly Oddparents" vibe to it in the best ways possible.

Between their hearthstone and overwatch animated shorts, they really should get into the animated tv show business. Both wow and Overwatch especially have huge potentials.

posted a message on So what with going first 6x in a row??
    Quote from KitsuneRTC >>

Isn't there a pity timer for this when your deck has a bigger advantage going second?

Do you not know how probability works? Take a real coin, toss it in the air, and call heads or tails. You'd be surprised how often and how many times you get the same results in a row...after all, the chances of heads or tails on a non weighted coin is ALWAYS 50%. Seriously, try it. I remember flipping one day and surprised myself with like a dozen heads and like ten tails in a row at one point.

And to answer your question directly: No, there's no such thing as a pity timer for coin flips. It's literally like all other toss ups. Congrats on your "going first" rng. Most people consider that lucky and prefer going first because they believe going first gives most players the advantage (tempo and all that).

What's wrong with Devastator being a mech? He's a yeti who doesn't even have the removal effect until turn TEN.

If odd and even were going away at rotation anyways, why did they bother nerfing shit for those decks like flametongue and level up?

So you can undo those now that its wild only similar to molten giant right Blizzard?

If you're going to "unnerf" anything, I think equality is the higher priority target here. Hardly broken and one of Pally's few removal tools it has (as it looks like ROS won't be giving it any). It only got nerfed to hell and back because they were weary of nerfing it only to give it to odd pally decks, but now with the threat of those gone as well it really limits their excuses as to why it's nerfed.

I'd say if anything a great compromise would be to buff it back up to 3 at the very least if they don't want to restore it to 2 mana. With the threat of Baku gone 3 instead of 4 makes little difference in mana cost for the value and threat levels.

But yeah with wild being a thing hell no, the other nerfs should stay were they stand. Wild's about to be more toxic as it is with Genn and Baku coming here for a permanent visit. As a wild specialist I'd like to keep some sort of semblance of sanity please, thank you.

posted a message on New Druid Card - Dreamway Guardians

Good question. I think it's token and the heal spells are meant to replace the armor mechanic that was previously being pushed harder by druid than warrior. I think they are trying to return Druid to its roots of being token/agro formats rather than ridiculous amounts of armor.

posted a message on Do ranks mean anything to you??

You mean besides getting my 5 wins for collecting my monthly cardback? Negatory. I get my 5 wins, then any other ranking after is pleasant bonus to me. I'm happy if I get to ranks 17-15 some months. For me it's not worth the frustration to play against the same 5 decks over and over again, I have better chances of playing against variety in casual wild.
