Because I like collecting stuff and I enjoy trying out decks and winning with them (no matter if they are t1 or t4 - if their playstyle suits my playstyle - I play them and have fun). I also like to play a game, where I can play whenever I want (I don't feel "forced" to complete dailies or login every day or else I fell behind). It's also really chill and has a competitive character as well. There are many more reasons, but I am too lazy to write them all down :).

All of those decks can take you to rank 5. You will lose some games ofc, but if you learn one of them and watch some YT-videos and streamers how they play this deck, I am sure you can get them with more than 50% win rate and thus get to rank 5.

Yes, when the new season starts, you drop exactly 4 ranks from your best rank and stars from the previous season.

Example: if your best rank is 15 and 0 stars, you will be rank 19 and 0 stars, when the next season starts.

There isn't an option "Mostly ranked" or something similar, which describes what I am doing, so I voted "Yes, only Ranked", since Ranked is my most played game mode.

I don't play casual unless A) I want to complete a quest/quests with a meme-decks (example: play 30 warlock cards => makes a 30-warlock cards zoo/demon type a deck) or B) I want to complete a quest/quests fast (yes, I am one of those t1 netdeckers in casual, I love you too).

I play Tavern brawl just to get the free pack or just complete a quest or 2 fast.

Since I came back from a 1-year long break back in January 2018, I don't play Arena, unless there is an extra ticket or some sort of promotion involved.  

My best win streak is 16 straight wins from rank 5 no stars to rank 2 with Wall priest just before the Rise of Shadows expansion.

I honestly don't know how many losses has my worst losing streak, because I try to give myself a break if I end up losing 3 games. Sometimes, I am not that disciplined, so I end up losing 4 or even 5 games in a row before hitting Alt + F4, but usually after I come back I start winning some games again :).

RNG mate, nothing to worry about.

Nice man. Now try to not focus if you are winning or losing, just have fun with your deck. There is still plenty of time from this season to get to rank 10. Try not to burn out. If you start to develop negative emotions and/or are afraid to go in to the next game, cuz you might lose it - just take a break. Same goes if you get on a losing streak - my is set on 3 loses in a row - then I take a break. Be careful of tilting, especially after your winning streak - try to recognize the symptoms and react accordingly.

This might be a recurring theme, but I just feel it is just too important. It needs to become more independent with its own quests, rewards and game modes. Wild needs at least one more play modes (maybe replacing casual), which will add a new meta:

• There should be a play mode, where on a regular interval (every 1-2 months) a new card pool is put together by just allowing cards from a subset of available expansions in wild (maybe even omitting the classic cards).
  • Actually maybe even revert the nerfs, so that they have their old stats.
• This would spark creativity and new arch-types and encourage people to even keep cards (and not dust them) just for the eventuality that they become important in this new meta.

Wild needs its own user experience:

• How many times has it happened to me, that I played a standard deck and in the game noticed, that I did not switch back to standard and was playing in wild. Actually standard decks are not doing so bad in wild (at least at my level).
• I believe there needs to be a more pronounced switch between standard and wild. There needs to be an own “wild” main menu
  • Wild collection manager:
    • I believe people want to keep wild-decks for much longer than in standard, because they stay much longer relevant.
    • The number of wild cards is much higher as in standard and I believe Blizzard sooner or later needs to optimize the UI for the huge card pool.
  • Allows to have a dedicated selection of the wild game modes.
• I would also like modified gameboard. Why not make the standard gameboards wilder for wild.

To summarize, by making Wild more independent and giving it its own feeling Hearthstone as a whole will become more attractive, motivate past players to come back and offer the variability to currently players to not get bored.

Blizzard should try this suggestion, it might recover the sad status of Hearthstone.

I don't see a downside, besides maybe less players on ladder - if that happen they can limit the number of games with full collection.

As far as i can see, the announcement in the past were always on a monday about 2 weeks after the announcement of the theme of the year.

Year of the Dragon:  28.02.2019 (Thursday).             

Thus, my guess would be next monday, 11.03.2019, they will announce it.

Designer 1: Sorry, I stopped listening after the first 2 words you said.  I think I remember he was just too weak and expensive and plus, any class could play him, not just my favorite class, the Mage!  So, I fixed him.  Now he only costs 7, is only playable by mage, and comes with a 4/4 sidekick for free.  That should make him playable again!

but i found the thread just now. and i have to make an important addition:

some people mentioned that one should watch kripp or hafu for arena. I disagree a lot. They are all insanely good. It's amazing how well Kripp does in arena, despite being sniped, playing super fast and for fun. It's not the skill that is the problem, but both kripp and hafu barely explain their thoughts. which probably is thanks to the fact that their years of experience made them not having to think anymore at all. the brain simply knows already what's the right play.
that doesn't help beginners. so here is my advice for arena: shadybunny. He often ropes, which makes watching him a time consuming thing. a run easily takes 3h. but he is regularly in the top10 of arena rankings and he really really explains things to his audience. that's his thing. things that are obvious to him, he points out over and over and over again. vinecleaver plagues the meta? every time he faces paladin, despite him knowing it by hard, he reminds the audience: we gotta play around vinecleaver. mage trick since the introduction of arena: play a secret like counterspell on turn 6. your opponent considers that it might be mirror image, plays something small, realizes it is not, playes another small minion. your turn 7: flamestrike. he doesn't get tired explaining everything again and again. why to mulligan cards X and Y? let's tell the audience. which is great for anyone who is not averaging 7+ wins  in arena.

Equality is an insane aoe for only 2 mana. Compare it to another aoe like lightbomb, which costs 4 mana and is still an absurd card, and equality is almost as good. Now compare equality to consecrate. Didn’t it feel weird using the equality for 2 mana and then the consecrate for twice the cost, even though equality was doing all the work? Equality deserves to be at 4 mana.

Another thing to point out is that odd paladin maybe wouldn’t even run equality for 3 mana. It would end up as a dead card the whole game in most matchups, also slowing down divine favour. Odd paladin simply doesn’t want equality because once it has lost the board and is trading everything away, it’s probably already lost the entire game.

So please stop with this terrible argument because I feel like everyone just spews this shit and doesn’t even think about it just because they want to hate on Blizzard for whatever reason they can.

Hi MTG guys, anyone know anything about losing during my infinite turns with Nexus of Fate? I was keeping destroying my oppo's board with Teferi plainswalker and the plan was to leave the oppo with an empty board and every turn he drops a land just get rid of it on my draw step till he finish the deck. I know the idea is boring and lame but this is not the point, I just wanted to try it out once, but.. in the process of my infinite turns all of a sudden the game ends and I was defeated. Is there a limit of consecutive turn I can play? I don't really understand how it happened and I didn't find anything on the internet  but something in a way related.. some guy kept on keeping his turn for a hour and he got banned or something, but this guy had no way of victory, in my case I could have won by milling his deck.. any ideas?

As an example i have like 100% loss to miracle druid...ofc i meeet one when its about my ranking game to 10.

I played a Dire Frenzy Hunter. From the scratch i tried to put some pressure on him. Turns out its not working at all. I had a good start with Dire Mole, Crackling Razormaw, Dire Frenzy on Viscious Scalehide...and still at turn 9 he still had 30hp and 3 Armor. I had a solid board with buffed minions, but spellstone form 6 damg 1 mana...because he was so good that he managed to upgrade it! Then he played auctioneer and pulled from 16 cards down to 3.

Yeah you know the rest, 2 turns later switch deck gg...

Why does blizzard make such decks possible? The only way how i can win is when im super lucky and the other one super unlucky or to dumb to pull of an easy combo.

I made a warlock deck that tries to counter OTKs...with Gnomeferatu, Void Contract, Zihi, Demonic Project, Skulking Geist...just for fun, not for ranked to punish the stupid OTKs...turns out they are so easy to play, even when i burn some of the crucial cards they can mostly pull it of.

Cold Blood is a bummer, but I still believe that Odd Rogue will be one of the best decks, especially post-rotation.

I'll probably replace them with deadly poisons in my wild odd rogue.
