Someone posted a "Wallet Warrior" list that i'm now running a variant of and it does really well against all the Baku/Genn decks I've faced so far. It does well against Spiteful Druid too, though Spiteful Priest ruins it. Haven't met a Cubelock yet.
I play non-Cube control Lock with only 5 WW cards because I legitimately find it to be the most enjoyable deck to play with right now. Some people like the older playstyles more than the new, go figure.
I'll post here what i posted in another thread containing the same subject.
Your chances of winning are greatly increased if you play aggro or Baku Hunter. I'm not saying it's an easy win, considering they run lots of board clears, but you might be able to finish them off before they can do any of their crazy battlecries.
In 4 years I never even unlocked all the Basic Hunter Cards. Some of us don't like playing aggro.
Balance arguments aside, Shudderwock is inherently bad for the game on multiple levels. No one gets excited to go que into someone essentially playing solitaire.
Wow,even for Hearthpwn's standards this is a record.... We're just past an hour into the expansion and there are already these kind of threads.... I'm really amazed, please keep it going....
Right? Anyone remember literally just 12 months ago when there was a salt thread for EVERY quest (Except Galvadon) by mid afternoon? The Shudderwock deck seems pretty abysmal vs. aggro btw. That being said, if it ever does rise to T-1 popularity I'll gladly quit until it's nerfed because the deck is still uninteractive af regardless of power-level.
Still, if a deck becomes popular and its only counter is aggro, it should be nerfed.
Oh, no, I FULLY agree lol. In 4 years I've never once brought an aggro deck to ranked ladder (I had my first golden hero two years BEFORE I unlocked all of the basic Hunter cards ffs) if I can't play control, I just plain don't play the game.
It's bad. That's why there is no delay in the whining.
And I mean it's too early to whine about power level (even if this 100% wins against any controlling deck).
The problem is the animation time. You play like 6 of these guys, all with murmering active. It takes ages. Like 5-10 of not doing anything.
I have been playing for a while, but this is batshit broken, uninteractive and destroys the game (for fun reasons not power level)
This. Also the knowledge that about a third of the decks out there right now are just netdecked otk's makes me loathe to try out any kind of fun new archetypes which I think is more a community issue, but still: this is a bad look for launch regardless of where Shudderwock ends up (I think it's fine rn but futief expansions could break it BAD).

I cannot see Shudderwock being nerfed. It is strong, but it takes skill to play.
If you can afford to spend 1600 dust on having a pretty card that may generate other pretty cards then go for it. Personally, I will never craft a golden legendary because 1600 dust takes a lot of time or money (a legendary is worth about $10 when accounting for the number of packs needed to get one).
So far the Shudderwock decks seem both bad and requiring the lowest common denominator skill-wise. I've managed to Rin them down before they could assemble the pieces multiple time in just an hour and I cannot imagine they'll fair well the more aggro decks that become refined.

Have you considered Ysera over Rotface and Lick King over Yip? Or have you found the internal synergies there to be too strong?

I prefer the non-cube control Variant. It's probably much worse but it's got far more decisions per turn which is my biggest plus for a deck.

That is a troubling quote in that it suggests they knowingly let this card loose.
