The excavate cards are a bit weird for Paladin, 3 mana Divine Shield and Wind fury has a condition of having a minion and the 4 mana 3/4 is weird in itself but like you said you play it for the excavate aspect. Idk I am still not fully sold but hand buff Paladin finally got something worthy to play.

I am guessing the thought process was "hand paladin" - sure. So we need to make some cards that benefit from a lot of cards in hand - sure. If you play this on 6 you're going to mill a card. If you play this on 6 you can't use the lifesteal rush on the same turn, nor the taunt elemental. Where this card is strongest is when it fills your board with minions.. and then you can't play the taunt elemental anyway because your board is full.
Just so many questions.

It's obviously that this is just a bad card in the current game. The effect, the cost, the minion's stats. It makes no sense.
There is currently no archetype that this card fits in. Maybe Blizzard forgot the read the 'Silver' in Silver Hand Paladin and thought a Hand paladin was actually a deck...
There is absolutely no Paladin flavor to it. Paladins are the exact opposite of bandits. Starlight Groove is also a bad card but I don't mind it, because at least it makes sense in a paladin deck. This doesn't, at all.
Was there even a group called The Badlands Bandits in WoW? Is there some lore I don't know about?
So many questions, so much disappointment. Blizz has outdone themselves again :) Sorry for the rant, but come on dude...

when you tell the truth you only get dislikes, community of toxic children (this is the real problem) TOTAL HYPOCRISY (and the developers who are aware of them, as they continue to favor them) this game is dead....(will stay just children, i.e. all those who are incapable of analyzing by themselves, so they will repeat like a parrot what they hear by hs influencers) while any adult with a brain feels insulted by this game...(rubbish politics, developers are speculating on their own community, this is leading the game to death for a long time now…...) if they continue like this, the day will come when they will only play player vs bot to give way to find a game at high ranks...(or they can develop cards and balance in a way, to avoid it (just don't listen to the community and act in a scientific way) because words are zero given that mathematics is enough to solve all hs problems...

nice (irony) to see how all the cards they gave us for self-inflicted damage didn't do shit (not that I had any doubts that the paladin hadn't received anything coherent, since that's what has been happening for years and years for this class...) removing the whole board (in a class that plays ONLY on boards) is the most useless thing they could give him (2 shitty legendaries like all the past apart from Cariel, the only good card of the paladin, and they even dared to nerf it LOL) only in the trash are they consistent with the paladin...

Wow OP (finally Paladin is playable ...) Blizzard ... (2 fucking mana to this shit) totally no sense (a 10-year-old would have more creativity than this team) every time it seems to see cards from the base classic set as a power level for the Paladin... (which by now they have even removed to give him absolutely nothing in return) just a small step by Seal of Light from the base classic set (especially now that Paladin sucks to keep pushing shit like this is really Pathetic ...)

Futhermore in this meta otk, many classes don't even play minions (this doesn't help this card to shine) I don't know, we'll see which way will go this meta...

I don't think you play this in a pirate warrior just to hit a taunt... (also you can't play the quest, otherwise your weapon will last just one turn, I don't see much synergy in that)

The resurrect mechanic is not even broken, the problem with the priest is simply Archmage Vargoth , it would have been enough to remove the useless nerf from the Tinkmaster Overspark to solve the problem with him, mage already has so many ways to stall boards and so many ways to win without the least interactivity that this card is unhealthy (they are destroying the playing experience with ridiculous cards)

equality was still 2 mana when the paladin used that card (plus in those days the game was much slower)

+1 mana from Val'anyr but less loss play, and a lot of survival value, which in this otk meta is very indispensable for paladin (finally some true love for paladin...) we were the only of the old classes, that didn't get any new hero cards since Uther DK (not even Galakrond), so, cool card...(certainly is very versatile for paladin class, so he will definitely see play...)

So, otk dh, otk warlock, otk priest, otk shaman, otk mage (if I wanted to play a solitaire I didn't open hs) this is the least fun and definitely the fastest way to finish killing the ladder.... (whoever decides for this game has a brain - dead, for a few bananas a team of baboons could do better...)
