It is indeed rather bemusing how many people seem to be losing their collective minds over the fact that I am personally concerned about a particular card and its interactions and that this was merely my opinion and certainly not written as being "hard fact". Lol I didn't realise people valued my opinions so highly around here! ;-)
I'm probably flattered. Or something! Ahem!
One person even raged about why I thought the card was "broken", even though it explicitly states I didn't think that, in the OP.
I mean, the guy could at least read the post before randomly spitting his dummy out? Lol!Ah well! :-D

I like how everyone thinks of himself as a great card evaluator but in reality every expansion we are horribly wrong about most cards, we think we learn to be more accurate every expansion but in reality game mechanics and cards combinations evolve much faster than our ability to review them.
I don't see this particular combo as being problematic, but I can absolutely see a world where someone makes Felsoul Jailer problematic in some way or another. If you can make copies of it, silence it or whatever, it can quickly become a crazy anti-control/anti-combo card.
Comparison with tickatus is also unfair, the reason you don't brewmaster tickatus is because you can felosophy it instead, and also because it already costs 13 mana to corrupt and play. And it burns cards from the deck, essentially having 0 immediate impact in exchange for bigger impact later in the game. Felsoul jailer has immediate, potentially massive impact if he burns the right card, so brewmaster makes more sense.
In the grand scheme of things, it's like Tickatus, never going to be problematic because Hearthstone will always be an aggro driven game, but i'm positive a lot of hearthstone toxic members and great card reviewers are going to cry a river because Felsoul discarded their wincondition and they couldn't get back the card in time.

TaoofWar posted a message on Introducing the Darkmoon Races Mini-Set! - All New Cards! - Release 21st of January!Posted in: NewsQuote from Thanatos2k >>Good to see they're scared. They're scared that people are seeing how expensive the game is. That's why they're letting you buy all the cards for a bulk gold fee this time.
But this begs the question: why can we get these 35 cards for 2000 gold, but have to buy pack after pack for a chance to get the cards from the expansion? Shouldn't it be available in its entirety for 8000 gold? Then they could justify the tavern pass since that's probably just about the amount you'd end up with each expansion for a person who plays a lot.
Oh right. Money. Can't do anything fair.
You do realize that businesses have to make money, right? All of this isn’t free to host. Last I checked Hearthstone cost multiple millions of dollars per month to maintain, and you’re asking for the entire set to be free to anyone who logs an hour a day playing and you have the gall to complain that “can’t do anything fair”?
I’m not going to claim that Activision is magnanimous in any way but how in the world is “I want you to lose millions of dollars so I don’t have to pay anything but the fake currency you gave me to get what I want” anything approaching fair?

Xivir posted a message on Patch 17.2 Is Live! - Warlock Hero For Free!Posted in: NewsThat's a fine argument and I don't have a problem with heros or card backs being in the game long term. It's only the exclusive ones that require someone doing something extra or having been playing for years.
So I would counter with why should the players who have been playing since the beginning and put in the time or effort to obtain something unique have their dedication be reduced by simply adding the rare item to the game as a freebie for everyone?
Exclusives have existed in online games for years, they are an almost trophy to instantly identify someone who had been playing for at least X years or someone who competed an unusual challenge.

Xivir posted a message on Patch 17.2 Is Live! - Warlock Hero For Free!Posted in: NewsI may be in the minority but I'm still opposed to the idea of limited time, or special requirement, heros and card backs (based on the blue post that old card backs may be making a return) returning and or being given out for free. It greatly reduces the exclusive nature of having such events. It's mostly art with a few voice lines, so I'd rather like to see new exclusives coming around rather then hands outs for old ones.

There are a couple of hard counters to pogo: Nerub'ar Weblord and Ice Block
THAT BEING SAID: The weblord only works against pogo and if you draw any other opponent, you will lose and lose miserably. However, it's almost worth conceding 10 matches just to get to a pogo player for the cheap satisfaction of seeing them play 2 turns, spend a loooooong time thinking on turn 3 and then rage quitting.
Otherwise, just go Ice Block. It's free, it works against your assorted DH attempts, the Mind Blast jockeys, and the Wand Thief wankers. It's pretty cowardly, but what the heck. A win is a win.

I'll never get this pack, I can't get past the Baine fight. Mostly because I just pass every turn, so Garrosh the dick will lose.
Love Baine. Hate Garrosh.
Dick.

Quick and easy: Play as many minions as you can as fast as you can. Trade everything to clear the board and get the deathrattle summons. You should have the Pharaoh's mask by turn 5 or 6. Profit.

How does the poor guy enjoy a flagon of brew after a battle? Blade hands suck at the bar ...

Agree on the value of the Sethekk Veilweaver - you can generate some serious gas with them on the board. That said, I couldn’t find a way to include them here, mostly because I found that in the early game against a DH - when you are tossing most of your targeted removals to try and stem the early aggro tide, - you just don’t have the extra couple of mana to get one down, especially when you know they stick until your next turn. Stupid Eye Beam!
The idea has definite merit, though, as other non-demon-man decks start to come back into play. What did you drop to get the weavers into your deck?

If the Standard Priest deck is a little too rich for your crafting budget, here’s a stripped down variant that dispenses with the Reliquary and some of the slower cards to beef up early-game removal. Sitting on 9-mana board clears sucks when demon man is punching your lights out on turns 5 and 6 (truly, you are not prepared!), and the taunt of the Prime just gets ignored by DH kill-shots. Sketchy guide is included, give it a shot and have fun:

Wow. Pogo Hopper battle. 8 games, 18 minutes, 8 wins. The last was mirror but going first still guarantees a win, so yay.
Someone didn't think this one through.
EDIT: Just beat the Pogo twice by being a complete arsehole playing the Pally Time Out and roping every turn. So there's that, anyway ...

No, they said 1500 packs each hour, for a TOTAL of 48000 packs over the four days. You might want to read the thing again.

Just got three - one RoS and two Classic - packs at 4:00 am EDT. Pretty fast turnaround, not sure why people are already up in arms. Give it long enough to resolve, people! Sheesh!
