Definitely has some randomness. A couple of times now bloodlust would have been lethal for me, and it has not given bloodlust as an option despite having 5 mana available (note: both times taunts were involved and I was given silence effects so there is probably a pattern I do not see yet).

Quote from BlueberryQ >>Have you guys been getting Blood Lust and Savage Roar from Zephyrs? I am not. Alternative lethals, but not those cards.
I got Savage Roar couple of time from Zephyrs as a finisher.

Problem is if you don't draw Lens early it's a really shitty deck

Eh i'm starting to see the non quest variants popping up more and more, although theu tend to be from previois expansions.
Gotta agree with the last part tho. With this game's massive netdeck tendencies, letting streamers test and "define" decks for us takes so much creativity away.
Remember when the experimentation phase of an expansion took more than a week?

So basically now it goes like this:
You face a shaman? It can only be quest.
You face a druid? It can only be quest.
You face rogue? It can only be quest.
You face warlock? It can only be lackey zoo.
You face warrior? Mech control as usual.
And it's only a matter of hours before people realize how degenerate the paladin's quest can be...
I guess we can thank Blizzard and its brilliant idea of the anticipated access to the set to streamers...They have spoiled us of that last tiny time window of genuine fun where everybody spent the first week or so trying out all the crazy stuff.
Good job.

As many of you know, Blizzard is one of the greediest companies in the gaming history (this is one of the many reasons why they are so successful) and whenever a new expansion comes out 90% of the packs are opened on the first week.
Naturally around that time Blizzard deliberately decreases the chances to get legendary cards from pack just so people would be forced to purchase more packs to complete all of their desired packs.
So my question is when do you guys think that the chances be back to normal?
Also if any of you have already opened up your packs please share with us how many legendaries you got and how many packs you have opened.

The lesson is, don’t spend money on loot boxes. As soon as I stopped spending IRL money on HS, I started enjoying it a lot more.

I would be very upset if I spent $80 and got nothing. When you spend $80 per expansion ($240 a year) you should be able to get all the cards in the game. Blizz is getting greedier and greedier every year. It is better NOT to spend any money on this game cause it is not worth it.

Saving gold for packs is always better than cash unless you really want the hero portrait / gold legendaries

Some cards are beyond redemption.

Personally, I thought the series was okay. Not great, but not terrible. No series, with that level of hype, can live up to expectations.
The main issue for me is the series was too short and it felt rushed. Cramming huge plot resolutions, which you have spent the entire life of the show building to, into just 6 episodes, was a bad idea. I presume it was for budgetary reasons.
As a result, the battle against the Night King, the fall of Danny, etc. were not given the treatment they deserved. They certainly didn't feel climactic.

The free first wing was quite fun. That said, because I am primarily interested in PvP HS (which is notoriously expensive), I will probably just save my gold for the next expansion.

Compared to its competitors, like MTGA, the economy of Hearthstone just feels tight and outdated. It is its biggest failing, imo, and no wonder people are leaving.
For example, the devs were recently asked about extending Legendary protection to Epics (MTGA has it for both Mythics and Rares). They rejected the idea. That speaks volumes.
Personally, I will continue to play a bit of HS F2P, but will not take it seriously. After each expansion, I get a few weeks of novelty, and then I'm done until the next expansion. I wouldn't plow any more money into it, not now there is real competition. The value proposition just doesn't stack up.

Dr. Boom is the problem, in my opinion, as with all "infinite value" cards in HS.
1
I think a lot of people feel the same as the OP. HS is a fun, light CG with very high variance. MTGA is a much better CG overall, though, and its F2P offering is vastly superior. For what it is, the price of HS is insane.

He only received a light penalty from Blizzard. What a joke, right? At least we can enjoy cheering against him. xD
2
It is too close to the launch of the expansion, I think a lot of people are holding judgement until the meta settles. Blizzard have improved when it comes to churning out more regular patches, so I wouldn't be surprised if we do get one in a few weeks.

Free ticket -> 3 packs and some dust. What's not to like?

7-3 with Tempo Rogue. I got high-rolled by a Bomb Warrior who topdecked Boom - any other card and I had lethal. I managed to message him "GG" before throwing my laptop out the window. Hearthstone in a nutshell. xD
