Yeah it's overpriced; I quit trying. Spent $0 this expansion, did not save up dust

Moldavone posted a message on Spent $80 and got 2 legendaries and 131 common duplicatesPosted in: General DiscussionI got 3 legendaries out of 80 packs, plus the golden one and the login bonus, so 5 overall. All the other duplicates gave me around 2k dust, so another legendary. It is unbelievable that for 80 euros (price of a full triple A game) you can't even fully enjoy the game.

Plaini posted a message on Spent $80 and got 2 legendaries and 131 common duplicatesPosted in: General DiscussionPretty much same for me 80 packs. Results 2 legendaries and 189 common duplicates and 33 rare duplicates and 0 epic duplicates. So just barely enough to craft 1 extra legendary. First thought I must have just missed same legendary or two while opening all packs but nope. On previous expansions always had around double if not more so felt alright, but these kind of bad luck streaks on pack opening really turns you off from buying more packs in the future :S

You are part of the problem, continuing to pay the developers for below average work, telling blizzard you're okay with the laziness they've put out in the past 3 xpacs -

Techwood posted a message on Spent $80 and got 2 legendaries and 131 common duplicatesPosted in: General DiscussionI know it sounds like whining but this is the worst opening ever and I’m really getting tired of the amount of money needed to be spent on this game to have a variety of playable decks to enjoy. This is probably my last expansion. Good luck hearthstone from here on out.

If that is what really happened then i would do the same. It was a problem you opened a thread in hearthpwn for this. As you see, people here are not very welcoming of serious problems like this. Keep your money in your pocket next time and find another game. Hs is a rng fiesta mostly and it has many problems. (some people just like to rub it in, spoiled kids)

Keema posted a message on Why is experimenting downplayed so much nowadays?Posted in: General DiscussionI really dislike all the pre-release benefits that hearthstone "influencers" are starting to be awarded.
You have some people trying to go "unspoiled" until expansion time, meanwhile Blizzard is trying to artificially inflate hype by showing YouTubers having fun before everyone else. And let's not forget the fireside gathering pre-release events.
Seems like everyone forgot when RegisKillbin uploaded his card reviews for the first few Rise of Shadows cards... BEFORE the official reveal trailer was even released.
Yes, it sucks. It has ruined the “discovery” element for me, the best part of new expansions.
The solution is probably to just stop watching streams though. Streamers like Thijs have just devolved into social marketing anyway, they are so deep in Blizzard’s pocket. It is advertainment.

user-100412500 posted a message on Is shaman's quest OP ?Posted in: Card DiscussionIn my opinion its also the most powerful quest in this expansion. Easy to complete, requirement goes perfectly in hand with the reward and totally fits in Shaman.
I am also kinda scared but we will see how the new cards are doing. There might be new decks that overshadow Quest Shaman.
But if its going to lead the meta, it will defintily get nerfed. Uldum has pretty strong cards. I hope that they nerf the quest in a way that the hero power cost 3 or even 4. Brann is such a strong legendary and you get his effect as a heropower which is totally obnoxious.

The main problem with the expansion is NOT Bomb Warrior, it is Thief Rogue. I just played a guy that shuffled 11 copies of Tess back into his deck. At that point you literally cannot win, unless you have an inevitable wincon deck. It is just miserable to play against.

The DKs leaving Standard is one of the things I am most looking forward to. Talk about OP, they warped the meta for months.

Thanks!

I miss that class ordering, it made it much easier to evaluate the set. :(

Most of the issues the OP cites are reasonable concerns or criticisms, in my opinion, and completely appropriate things to discuss in a Hearthstone forum.
1
Yeah, I agree. If nothing else, the optics are very bad.
2
What makes you think it is just "salt"? Perhaps look at the traffic and revenue stats for Hearthstone first.

I just want the most significant cards of the set, like the class legendaries, to feel special and be a bit more exciting. Recycling effects from Marin or Golden Monkey, which many of us have already played with (for hours) doesn't really do it for me. It feels lazy.

I feel the same as the OP to be honest. Expansions are fun because of interesting new mechanics. Recycling old mechanics is less interesting to me, I've already spent hours messing with Golden Monkey (Rafaam) and Marin treasures (Heistbaron).

I feel like Blizzard should try to knock this expansion out of the park. HS revenue, and general interest in the game, are both in decline.
First impressions are bad though, in my opinion. Recycled mechanics for significant class legendaries are not a good look. I already had fun messing around with Marin's treasures and the Golden Monkey, now I'm ready for something new.
