Lol.... who cares? Just fix the standard gameplay. Remove discover and less rng maybe?, so we don’t feel like we are in battle vs rng and not a “real” opponent. Lol

geremiahkham posted a message on I'd really like some anti-armor tech.Posted in: General DiscussionQuote from Tamika_Olivia >>This is a thing I've been thinking about recently. Armor is one of the harder things in the game to play around. The only way to actually remove it is damage, while other things like minions, health, and weapons have Speed Test Scrabble Word Finder Solitaire alternative methods of removal or transformation. Add in that some classes historically become oppressive when they can generate too much armor, like Druid or Warrior at points in time, and it makes sense for the mechanic to have a some sort of counter play added.
I agree a counterplay would be nice, for example in K&C where the warrior had to spend his armor for AoE, that imo was balanced.

Hedwyn_nl posted a message on Nerf Refund Method For New Players, Is It Fair?Posted in: General DiscussionI'm with you, with luna nerf my reno mage is garbage tier and all the dust I used in this deck is gone. But there's nothing we can do when we play a game from a small indie company.

HUmanMustard posted a message on Nerf Refund Method For New Players, Is It Fair?Posted in: General DiscussionMaybe its just me, But I feel that the dust refund method as of now is a little unfair. Newer players that craft decks based around cards that eventually get nerfed ( And possibly make the deck unplayable ) Are now stuck with the support cards bought. I dont know how this could be addressed, but perhaps making all the new cards refundable for full price when I nerf occurs. ( with some kind of restrictions )
I havent done this is a long time, but I remember as a new player I did it a few times, And it feels like all your hard work went down the drain if you only have 1 or 2 decks to play with.

MoonUnit posted a message on What is everyone's opinion on Octosari?Posted in: Card DiscussionI really wanted the card to be good when I first saw it announced, but it’s too awkward to fit where it seems to belong. It looks like a great refill for aggro but running an 8 drop can really mess with your curve, which is too important to aggressive decks. I’m thinking maybe it belongs in a fast midrange kind of deck. It being a beast interests me, but midrange Hunter doesn’t tend to run low on cards because of Master’s call. Could be very interesting to double dire frenzy a hound (or Timber Wolf with Rhino) and use this to draw a ton of them for lethal though. Maybe you are on the money with Mech Hunter, seems like a reasonable deck for it.

So does he sell them? I would commission one (unless they are insanely expensive, of course).

Thanks for responding and best of luck in the role (although you will be missed as a caster). :)

What is her background in game design? Does she have any background in game design? I'm not flaming, I am genuinely curious what the hire was based on.

The random nature of it is not talked about enough, in my opinion. Blizzard simultaneously push it as an esport, whilst adding more and more random card creators. It is a bizarre contradiction. All similar styles of card game have draw variance, but very few have so many uncontrollable, unpredictable sources of (sometimes game-winning) random cards.
To me, Hearthstone is fine as a fun, casual game, which you don't take seriously. But it can never be a serious esport in its current form.

I believe you, I'm a bit doubtful about them myself. I'm holding off crafting the Hunter Highlander deck, the problem with these decks is they are also extremely expensive in terms of dust.

Highlander Mage and Highlander Hunter are both doing okay according to HSReplay stats.

This has always been the biggest problem with Hearthstone, and one reason why people are giving up and migrating to other games: it is founded on loot boxes. If you open badly, you are in a really tough spot: you either craft cards and gamble on what will be good, but if you're wrong you end up with trash decks; or you wait until the meta settles, missing out on the most fun time to play (right after the expansion drops).

Puzzle Box into Myra's into concede. It's the new meta.

I love the design, it was one of the cards I was most excited for. But can someone explain to me why this, and all Highlander cards, will not just be inactivated by Bomb Warrior? This seems like a huge oversight by Blizzard.
