We'll certainly see more of the old lady Ysera with this deck and others, maybe also due to Chillmaw, but unfortunately I don't have Ysera. And she seems crucial to this deck... :-(

It was the very first legendary I wanted, but to this day I haven't got her & also don't have the dust to craft her. Any suggestions on what to replace her with? Maybe Chromaggus or Nefarian? Unfortunately Nefarian doesn't give you the amazing tempo advantage of Ysera, even if she survives for just  a while.

    Hahahahahaha!!! :-D

Since Mal'Ganis says "I am a turtle", technically he is a demon/beast hybrid, so we might expect him to be summoned by Ram Wrangler too...

I think it's an excellent card and I'm using it in my midrange Hunter deck that mostly does control. But it has two disadvantages:

    1. it costs 5 mana instead of the Houndmaster's 4, and that sometimes messes up the mana curve when you want to play it,

    2. it creates more creatures that are liable to be killed from an AOE spell & kinda forces you to overextend with minion presence, especially if you have to be careful not to have your minion side full. Overextending is always a danger with control decks that have established board presence but are trying to be conservative in order to avoid seeing everything die in one turn, and then have nothing more to play.

So while Houndmaster also has drawbacks (silencing the buffed minion etc), this one seems a bit harder to play, it's more random and requires careful planning. But a wonderful card nevertheless, soon to become a classic.

It's good advice but the card that gives you the best mana discount for dragons, Dragon Consort, is Paladin only. I will try to make a dragon Druid deck though...

I was lucky enough to get it in the few TGT packs I opened, but I'm trying to make a dragon deck with it, and in most cases the mana curve is too high, even when you are trying to bring it down as much as possible. Plus, even if you put heals and minion removals in, aggro decks will just rush zerglings into face that you won't be able to counter. I have always wanted to play a dragon deck, and I've got quite a few from Blackrock etc. but they're all mana-expensive and don't fit & synergise as well as Beasts or Mechs.

(I know that according to the lore you can't really have a "cheap" dragon since they are all extraordinary creatures, but then again you have Faerie Dragon.)

(Update: it works perfectly in Dragon Priest who has an excellent mana curve & lots of synergies. One of my most useful legendaries by far.)

@RGE: I don't understand. Are you saying he started from rank 25 and got to Legend rank 100 with a deck that includes TGT cards that have only been available for a few hours? Because that is the meaning of "Trump got to Legend Rank ~100 with it yesterday."

Trump is of course a pro, but I find this deck desperately needs Shaman's new healing card, Healing Wave. You're usually left behind either because the opponent removes your minions easily or because as usual, "the face is the place" and you can't do anything about it.

He obviously didn't use it all the way, but only for the few hours that the TGT cards have been available. So while it may be good, what you're saying is not really true.

The summoner brawl is on again this week, and I'm using this deck again with very good success rates. I substituted Loatheb though with one Vaporize, since I decided that the tempo benefit of increasing the cost of a spell vs. the obvious drawback of a very high cost minion appearing was not worth it.

I also noticed that many people are playing the same Warlock deck in this brawl, which as I understand has been netdecked a lot. I will look for it, it's pretty good.

    I should add the following:

    (a) the screenshot above only shows 65 wins but not the number of losses (which I was carefully keeping track of), so you'll have to take my word for that,

    (b) the 65 wins / 12 losses ratio is not mentioned to brag but as a means of illustrating how well it worked for me, how efficient it can be if you play it slowly while successfully anticipating the opponent's reactions and spells, and why Mage is/was so good in this brawl.

I forgot to add that this deck is hopefully proof that Mage is probably the most suitable class for this brawl. Regarding other classes, in 77 games I only encountered one Face Hunter and two Priests who did really well. Almost all of the considerable threats came from Mages.

Also, don't be afraid to use your Mana Wyrm early in case it will be removed by Frostbolt. The opponent will have wasted it on one cheap creature without even using its valuable freeze effect. Another good minion option instead of Mana Wyrms is Burly Rockjaw, but it's a bit expensive at 4 Mana vs 1 Mana of the Wyrm & vs a good minion removal spell (remember you should be casting spells as frequently as possible).

If you are concerned that it doesn't deal the desired damage to face, add one Pyroblast in the place of one Mana Wyrm. But due to its big cost, use only one in the deck, and only if you have to.
