that card was in a tiered meta deck. it was a midrange big shaman that just needed fuel. that card sealed the long game.
then big jade druid came onto the scene, and pushed out all long term big decks. big priest came in afterwards not because it played a long game, but because it cheated out big minions early. that and raza priest made the resource gain pointless.
so a card that makes totems on the board, is different, but potent.
vs. aggro : your shaman. you pop out air and drop the maelstrom.
vs. tempo now they have to deal with totems instead of attacking face. keeps you alive long enough to play thing from below and other cards in the deck. a totem deck also has flame tongue, murloc, mana. these tools create a totally different situation than you are thinking. can't look at this in a vacuum, totem shaman is a synergy deck.
midrange: totems are bonemare targets. it' a card the deck plays already. a totem deck may infact end up also midrange. and maybe swarmy jade.
combo: draw power is not how you beat combo. it's by out running their setup game.
vs control: they won't bother using single target cards against totems. if you can draw out their Aoe's and then go wide with the actual deck space you have otherwise, the game can be won regardless of these cards.
it's not meant for bloodlust deck, it's meant for a elemental battlecry deck. which is really strong.
if I blazer caller 7, then kalimos 8, then this guy on 9, I can then play blaze caller and kalimos again immedately for their strong battle cries, and I can trade beforehand to at least get their damage for the their attack on the board somewhere. as worse, all this to face means 6+7+5+6. that's 24 damage right there in 1 turn. if the blaze caller attacked face the turn before on kalimos. that's 30 damage over 2 turns. it has potential to end games just by ramming in a bunch of strong battlecries.
or Idk, play a finisher that matters? or more high end cards that can push through what they do? control doesn't mean play all 30 cards and fatigue to win, it means your setting up for a 10 mana play, or a huge 8+ mana card that will swing the game.
try putting some win in your control, and jade won't stomp you every time, it will some times, it's a miracle build atm, but it won't just beat your slow as a glacier deck.

what are you talking about? you post doesn't make much sense. and blood lust on 4 totems is 12 damage. no where near lethal.
0
which is why the whole combo happens by turn 5. turn 5 al sounds good enough. divine shield taunt windfury charge. it helps plenty
0
the other point is that it's multiple bodies which still helps with blood lust.

pretty much this card is " kill me now. or I will end you."
never played on curve, that's is pretty much obvious.

well you can also trade first then bounce the board, that would certainly give you the time you need

"you must gather your party before venturing forth"

the point is that evolve itself doesn't' cause this interaction, only thrall. that's the accident, it's not following pre set rules about transform

well being the set it comes in, this set will likely have a LOT of life steal.
