honestly, I feel like the card I want in here is spirit echo. but I can't find space without hurting the consistency.

also. the game plan keeps falling apart on me. I must have horrible luck for the draw, because I"m being efficient, making good trade hits that leave me up a unit, but I end up losing the board

since I don't have a malaygos or lord deathwing, I added in charged devilsaur.  which actually has a really sick combo with ancestral spirit. the battlecry doesn't trigger when it's re-summoned, making him able to attack again, and attack face if you have no other good targets, and if you barnes is, it's still a 1/1 charge. which if you can get spirit on it, it's a 1/1 that becomes a 7/7

if you can't afford the legendary dust levels you need, try this, it's a cheaper alt choice that still brings down a lot of heat.

posted a message on The Rogue Quest, The Caverns Below, is OP. Nerf it already.

I"ve been playing against C.C.  as much as anyone else, and I have to say, don't step back and try to stop them. they can luck out and finish it anyway. but, they are an excessively greedy deck with their opener. be greedy back, dump your shit on the board and go face and push them int a position that even a turn 5 core play isn't very effective. many decks have a "greedy play" that you usually don't play because normally the opponent has something to do. C.C. rogue DOESN'T DO SHIT, it's all just accumulation and gunning for the quest complete. if you go greedy, you can ether mattering on your deck try and end it fast, aka, aggro out. or you can have so much advantage that you start shutting down his entire gameplan. the only deck that might have bad hand to do so is shaman actually, since some of their answer work right now is hex and devolve, which doesn't do a lot against the 5/5 effect.

I had come to a similar build, bit more top-end, but I agree. the heals are just insurmountable for anything short of waygate mage.

so to everyone thinking this card is bad, prep -> petal ( get 2) petal petal, coin edwin/his plant clone. 10/10 or 6/6 on turn 4. and I need 4 cards to do it, one of which is coin, or just wait till turn 5, which I could do again on turn 5 in theory anyway. and if your talking adventurer, then he loves petals. petals are combo enablers, just like fire elemental 1/2s are for elemental consistency.

    Quote from Zence >>

    @Obilis

Sure, but you can also get Mukla TOV, Mukla's Champion, Stampeding Kodo, Jeweled Scarab, etc. And those are just the neutral ones! Not even the classes. It's even more now due the amount of new beasts coming in with great effects.

    So what's your point?

cards like Netherspite Historian are so good because the dragon tag is so narrow that you have a much higher frequency to get what you want. While Elementals are smaller than Beasts, this is also what makes this card not as good at performing effectively as said Tomb Spider.

You're going to most definitely have those dead no elemental hands, and because this card is already so big you used a good chunk of mana just getting the card even if you did meet the condition.

So overall its a very slow card that can only work in Elemental decks that can sustain long enough to play this and the cards they get out of it.

    TL:DR?

Tomb Spider doesn't have the condition, at the expense of being a mid-game costed minion

Netherspite Historian DOES have the condition, with the upside being that it only costs 2 mana, which is extremely efficient.

This card has the worst of both worlds and will not work as well as you're anticipating.

the elemental tag is also fairly small as well however, and shaman has very good class card elementals, which have a higher chance to appear. I'm not saying the servant is always going to grab kali, but this card has very strong choices, it will be good.

oh yes an 8/8 for 5 that draws up to 10 murlocs not from your deck is the worst quest reward.

also the shaman quest says summon, not play, finishers is 4, finja triggers for 2 on it's ability while being one, and there is the murloc that sumons 1 for being played. that card basically says " play an extended water package"

you realize there is a new lead director, Ben Brode is no longer leading the team, it's now an old magic the gathering designer, and he started litterally at the end of 2016. this is his first set that he has had full control on. it's literally a new game from this point on.

likely never. they are old cards that they basically discontinued.

what they should do though is lower their dust costs.

the answer was not " play fast decks" it was " actually try to kill your opponent."

which is a legit answer, because little of a fatigue game is actually fun, the player against you is generally just annoyed all day against such a deck. and mill opponent isn't a thing in this game yet, so it's not some " deck destruction" build it's litterally " sit for 30 turns and do nothing."

your the player in a fighting game that punches once and then does nothing but block and waits for the time to run out. they put an answer in the game to your "do nothing" game-play. a game that runs out of cards because both players are slugging each other in the face is fun and exciting. a game where one person does nothing but board clear while never producing a threat is boring. and if you remember a concept this game is built on is " it should be fun more often than it's not." and yes your fatigue deck may beat decks. but having a hard counter in the mix to a single strategy is not game breaking.
