this won't be midrange, this is likely full on control shaman, likely with curve plays and taunts, along with fire fly and that new dude, Glacial Shard, we have single mana drops to promise that we get these effects off when we need them to happen.

I feel bad saying " why is this not a shaman card" because the game needs effects like this to keep aggro in check, and have utility for other games. this dude is awesome.

well the weakness of freezing potion is that it leaves you nothing after you play it. this leaves a body. and that's big.

"This card is useless!"~Ben Brode Jr.

But seriously guys... You all overestimate how good shaman is going to be once Ungoro comes out. EVERY GOOD CARD IN SHAMAN IS ROTATING. I play a lot of shaman myself, to the point where I've become golden, so I'm pretty sure I know what I'm talking about. The basic cards in every shaman deck: Tunnel Trogg and Totem Golem, are rotating out. This means that shaman has ZERO GOOD EARLY GAME. As if the death of any of shaman's potential for an aggressive or midrange deck wasn't enough, shaman can't play control either due to the rotation of Elemental Destruction, shaman's one good late-game board clear. While you may argue that shaman still has the overpowered mess of a mechanic that is Jade Golems, druid is still has better Jade cards than shaman and will easily be the preferred class. And as if all this wasn't enough, shaman is focusing on TWO mechanics in Ungoro: murlocs and elementals, and so the support for both archetypes will be extremely limited if not unplayable.

So yeah, the legendary is a good healer/board clearer. But what does it matter when ANY other deck can easily crush shaman post-rotation?

well. lets go through the list. since if I don't your just going to bitch about that one thing I don't mention.
we lose trogg. big deal. we get firefly and mistress of mixtures to fill in the slot mattering on deck design. the year ungoro starts is very much an anti aggro tilt, so as good as 1 drops may be, I don't think they will be able to do as much as people want them too. totem golem is going, and that could be a bit of hurt, but if your playing jade you have other opitions, and elementals will likely have something to do on turn two, and if not, totem roll and have thing from below lurking in the deck.
in exchange for elemental destruction, we now have a plethora of other Aoe, lightning storm is still around, maelstrom portal, devolve can do a lot of work, and we get a new card in volcano, which is amazingly flexible, as it can act as aoe for a swarm board or as single target destruction because very few things will have more than 15 health, plus, it can still kill jade golems 7 and 8 at the same time.
you statement for the split support would be good, if it wasn't for the fact that both archtypes drag in a ton of old cards. in addition to the stated " about 25" elemental minions in the set, we also bring 18 old cards into the elemental tribe, and guess what, of the 18, I believe at least half of them are shaman classic and basic set cards.  fire elemental, one of our best older cards that we took out not because it got creeped, but because we needed something else in the 6 mana area, thing from below. but the elemental deck is going top heavy, what with the control style it's gaining, it's going to run good old fire again, easily.
and murlocs aren't even that big for us, it's just the quest. and it's honestly a little silly. it's a zoo quest. who has ever heard of shaman zoo? I"m going to be interested in seeing it come to fruition, and if it does, I"ll run both decks. because variety is what this game needs. it won't be every time you see a shaman you think " oh, here's another jade fight." now you don't know. that makes it fun. and what's more. new shaman archtypes don't fit in well with jade. might use claws, but I don't see us running past the claws and lightning pair just for the control tools. free bodies are just free bodies.

I really like the idea of more anti-aggro cards. Especially ones that are actually pretty good against the other deck archetypes. However, I'm not a fan of the elemental mechanic in general, even though I think it's better done than previous comparable mechanics. What I mean by this is, when you can get the effect to trigger, the effect is really good. However, those circumstances when you can't get the effect to trigger, then the card is just mediocre at best. At least with Elementals you have much more direct control over whether it will trigger, as opposed to the utterly fallible and terrible Joust mechanic.

It's just, any time you get one of these cards and you just weren't able to play an elemental the previous turn, then they're almost a dead draw. You have to play an elemental and even then it doesn't immediately activate as you have to wait until your next turn to gain the value. This is probably just a personal preference though, overall I think elementals will work out well enough.

that's likely why they are already thinking ahead about that, and gave us firefly, a 1 mana elemental, that gives us another 1 mana elemental. it's not just a an early game body to help contest board-state, it's an insurance that we have something to keep the elemental requirement active when it's important. in addition, by making non elemental cards that want elementals, it breaks the archtype away from playing complete curvestone style, trying to chain a 1through 10 elemental with rising mana costs.

well, if you play it in the proper deck, it's a better senjin. if not. it's worse than sen, and can sometimes be that bad anyway. that's a fair balance I"d say.

so, what's the curve out play up to him if we want to make an "elemental chain?"

we got firefly turn one, which also gives us the cover card token if we missed a turn. telegraphing when played, but allows for the rest of the turn's mana to do something.

    not sure on turn 2.

tar elemental on 3 if this is a control deck. still haven't hit any "last turn" requirement cards though.

    4 is open?

    5 is open?

    6 is easily fire elemental,

    7 can be stone sen,

    8 is kalimos.

could even go 9 and say ozark.

it's a tech card, only choose cards from your deck, and you don't lose the orginal copy. if you've seen magic, copy cards are around this mana range, and can be extremely powerful cards.

before you post, compare lists. this isn't your "aggro shaman" cancer, because it has top end,  is running no pirates, no jade, this is the old school midrange shaman, with some reasonable  tech.

firstly. you don't get a pack from brawl. you earn a pack for playing a mode that could be a horrible idea, even as they have gotten better. but they aren't promised to you, they didn't even have brawls at the start, and the quests were shitty. all but 10 of the 50 quests were 40 golds. in addition, this is literally just to get people voting, because they want the community involved, and nothing works better than free stuff. why it's old gods, who knows. but it's not cycling out, so your pack isn't worthless in a month. and btw. classic packs are effectively trash. your complaining your not getting trash.

the point is to include something that will crush them health wise. with jade druid, you aim for face, even in the control  vs control match up. druid never runs it's healing mechanics thinking that jade spam fatigue  will win the day, so every point they have matters. kazakus potions even can do it.

if you need to wipe out high hp minons, this card is the new option in ungoro.
