Warlock Class Challenge - One Night in Karazhan
In the Warlock Karazhan class challenge, you will be fighting Julianne with a pre-constructed deck of cards. This fight becomes available after defeating The Opera wing on Normal Difficulty. The challenge must be completed using a deck that is predefined by the game.
Should you be successful in completing the challenge, you will receive two copies of Kara Kazham!.
Strategy
- Malchezaar's Imp is a great card to start off with thanks to all the minions you have that discard cards.
- Discard Mechanics: Soulfire, Darkshire Librarian, Succubus, Doomguard.
- Silverware Golem is another great card to start off with as it interacts perfectly with your discard mechanics.
- Fist of Jaraxxus can give you free randomized damage to the enemy. Make sure Romulo is off the field though when its possibly played, you don't want to hit face when Julianne is invulnerable!
- You can gain extra cards through Dark Peddler which lets you have more stuff to discard!
Reward
Completing the Karazhan Warlock class challenge will give you two Kara Kazham!.
It will also allow you to craft, with Arcane Dust, the golden version.
I'm amazed there aren't more comments on this! I was having trouble too, took about 5 tries.
My main problem was dying very quickly, and not having enough minions on the battlefield. I realized that most often enemy minions attacked ME and not other minions, which meant I had to make sure I had at least 2 minions on the battlefield each turn - one to kill Romulo and one to attack Julianne.
In the end it was a slow burn of Julianne and I ended up with 5 or 6 minions on the battlefield because her minions never attacked mine. This time was easier, therefore I won, which makes me wonder if it's really all about luck of the draw with this one.
5 games...5 losses. worst class deck i've ever been given. How do i get passed her when she puts up 2 taunts every turn?!? I could make a better deck with basic cards with my eyes closed. I like a challenge but this is just plain annoying.
Game 6 board on turn 2...romulo 4/1 then 4 0/2 mirror images. I'm dead before i can even attack anything
took me a few turns, but I finally managed to do it.
it seems board control is key to this challenge.
I had a lot of minions on my side that I had to keep trading for her taunts and Romulo in order for her to keep using Romulo next turn and not put out any bigger and more powerful minions.
There is also good Violet Illusionist + Flame Imp or Pit Lord synergy in the deck, as well as Bane of Doom on Romulo
