wondering whether to craft one to try out in my carpet lock deck. I don't like having 2 saronite in the deck, although they reportedly have a high winrate from the muligan, they become problematic if you don't play them early in stalling yourself out with the taunt you give them. I am yet to test enough to see whether this has any actual impact on winrate, however. I would like to test out other cards though, and taking out one of these to test things is most logical to me.
I was running a copy cauldron, which is a nice option, it harkens back to the odd liam decks last yer, only does things bigger and better with the access to rush via carpet, and lackies via Genius. (well tbh not much can match the tokens you got from odd palla hero power, but this zoo deck does a pretty good job of filling you up with shaman spells as well)
I think the deck as it stands looks about as good as it's going to get until we really have to start countering what counters us.
Some people are running the hungry crab for the murloc decks, but I'm not seeing a lot of them tbh. I don't have the card and I'm not about to craft it unless I see a lot of murlocs.
I would like to try something other than cauldron that wasn't so random and did nothing for 3 mana a lot of the time. Eager underling looks like it might be alright. I mean you could play it into carpet and trade it off and get the buff right away on to minions ready to go. I think it looks like it could be a strong contender.
Have any of you guys tried this card this expac yet, and if you have would you mind telling me about it please?
I've not tried Underling but I was less than enthusiastic when I looked at if I wanted it in a zoo deck.
I did my own take on Carpet Zoo and went with some classic Zoo 1-drops that people aren't playing, Shieldbearer and Young Priestess, over Saronite and Crystalizer. They're really solid imo. I also ran Witchwood Imp over Mecharoo because I like that DR better for buffing Voidwalker, Evil Genius, Knife Juggler, etc and the stealth is sometimes a big deal.
If you're set against running Saronites then take 'em out. It's far too early in the meta to think that deck is optimized for its best version. Test some things out, see what happens.
I think Kolento runs one Saronite and one Underling. I wouldn't bet against him.
yeah this is where I seen it. I have nit watched the video yet, but I know he runs it in his decklist. he was streaming earlier, but he has some mad system that randomly picks decks :D

I'm not against them, it's just they give the opponent a taunt. it's probably not a big deal though, and if you play them early then it's really not going to be (as they most likely can't deal right away, or waste stuff doing it)
I'm pondering on whether crafting a hungry crab though. I'm just not sure if theres enough murlocs to care. it seems there is a trend right now of people running them though and the decklists have a decent winrate.

Carpet only works on 1 cost minions, it won't serve your purposes.
ah right yeah. thanks for reminding me about that one.
I have still seen this card be used though, so it might have some merit.
I just went to 2 saronite to see what it's like for now anyway. I may switch back to one cauldron and one saronite though if I don't like 2 of them.
firstly, what do you mean by 'saronite'?
secondly, eager underling is trash.
Rejoice, for even in death, you have become children of Thanos.

the new saronite card that is used in carpet zoo. (it leaves a taunt for your opponent)
