Its good, but its not "the card" that will change the match up in your favor in this case. They might run 2x of hunters mark, 2xdeadly shot and 2xkill command, they usually have answers and if not they have powered creatures, also not too difficult to buff a hyena. Or ironbeak owl to go for face...
Sure, but Earth Elemental is only good against the Aggro Warlock and Hunter decks. Against everything else, it isn't as effective. Even then, Hunter's Mark is a card.
Many decks are running BGH and TBK in the current meta. Earth Ele is very vulnerable in control matchups. Hunter aggro just Hunter's Marks it or kills it with UTH and buffs/Kill Command if you're lucky. It's solid but not unkillable by decks like Zoo and Tempo Rogue, but is a little expensive and late against them. 5 mana is a lot, and locking out your turn 6 can kill you- Fire Ele is one of your best cards. Overall, it's not a bad card, but I don't think the payoff is worth the investment. I much prefer running a couple Taz'Dingos.
I also find that my shaman deck fails pretty hard against zoo decks. Mine is a heavy on creatures and control, so i'm usually able to clear my opponents board, but by the time i do, i'm within lethal of his hero power. I was thinking of trying to throw in some health gaining cards to try to offset this problem, but came to the forums to see if there were other solutions. What do you guys think?
How I wish this to happen. Summoning a total 8 mana cost minions just for it to become a dead meat for BOTH BGH and TBK is just frustrating. TBK is already hard to handle, they should make EE out of BGH range.

Yeah i guess shaman can just shut up and get smashed in the face with the limited options we have in taunts. As retarded as it sounds i think my priest deck handles rush decks much much better then my shaman, but i guess its kind of a fault of how our decks are built.
I mean we put lots of removal in our decks but nothing to actually prevent charge damage from happening... as feral spirits are just too small and give too much overload.

Shaman seems to struggle against a lot of hunter decks right now because their hero power just feeds Unleash the Hounds.
What do you guys think of adding Earth Elementals to a deck as a way to help counterbalance that threat?
From my play testing, it seems to work best after you have played a Fire Elemental or a buffed up Unbound Elemental because they already have wasted a Deadly Shot or Hunter's Mark.
Yeah, as long as their cheap removals have been spent, an Earth Elemental pretty much ruins anyone's day, Hunter or no. Combo one with Ancestral Spirit, or copy one with Faceless Manipulator.

No because then you would give your oponents a solo target for their BGH.

If they have no answer, it's nice.
But if they do, that 3 overload is going to REALLY hurt if you played him on turn 5.
Unless explicitly stated, my posts are my opinion and mine only.

I wish they'd buff earth ele to 6 attack.
