Shaman and Warrior got many strong cards in the last few expansions. Midrange decks have mostly fallen out of the meta (with the exception of Dragon Priest and Midrange Shaman). Most decks are either aggressive decks with the new Pirates or hyper defensive Reno decks. Although that might change with the upcoming nerfs to Spirit Claws and Small Time Buccaneer. Paladin and Hunter are currently not seeing much play.
There has also been a lot more communication from Blizzard lately regarding balance and arena and ranked changes. There was also a leak last weak about the next expansion, Secrets of Un'goro. Un'goro was a zone from WoW that would probably bring us lots of dinosaurs, beasts, etc.
When the next expansion comes it will mean the year of the Kraken will end so we will have a new set rotation that will eliminate BRM, TGT and LoE from the card pool, thus bringing a huge upheaval in the meta game.
