I really like Faeria's concepts and the friendliness of this post in general, so I wish y'all success. I'm not sure I'd play it much, personally, but I'll certainly point people who I think would be interested to it.
Wow, I really like the concept. I have heared about the game before but only the name. It seems pretty cool and I will see if I can get the chance to buy it in the future. The price is pretty reasonable here in Argentina. Economy is not going that well and even still It is totally buyable. I spent even more preordering boomsday proyect and thats a reason I am not buying it right now. But totally in the future.
If I enjoy it I will totally buy any expansion as I really love card games.
(Also in the odd chance that someone from blizz sees this, I know you had to update your argentinian prices. They are like 40% more now, but still cheaper than in other places as our money is valued less and less every day. 80 USD or 50 USD would be a real pain to pay here. So thank you)
Thank you for promoting this and thanks to hearthpwn for allowing it otherwise I would never of know about it. The game looks amazing and I would love to try it. Thanks
Sounds really cool, Atmaz! I've been looking for a complement for Hearthstone, and I'm definitely going to check this out. I'm a HUGE Carcassone fan ("living board" games are my favorite), played MTG starting w/ Legends for MANY years, I love me some chess and really enjoy Catan. I really dig the aesthetic of your game. Thanks for your post (hand thanks to the mods for allowing it).
QUESTION 1: How does the expansion work? Do I only play players who have it or do I continue to play against anyone with those additional cards?
QUESTION 2: How does XP work? What's the value of having the double XP bonus?
Was this a free to play game at one point? I didn’t realize the game cost loot. I’m not complaining, I just wasn’t aware and I cannot justify spending the money if I cannot try it firsthand. Here’s hoping I can get a key so I’ll stay in touch with this thread
Yes! We did go F2P at one point, but have recently completely changed our model. Instead of having to buy tons of card packs, we made it more of a one-time-purchase with very accelerated collection gaining, supported with monthly content in the form of DLC. The goal is to make it so you don't feel compelled to spell hundreds of dollars in order to play all the decks that you want.
And my last question. What does Faeria reference to or what is it’s meaning?
Good question!
Faeria is a universe created by four best friends (the founders of our studio) many, many years ago. It's simply the name of the world that the card game takes place in.
There's a lot of in-depth lore involved, much of which is shared in-game through the card art and our most recently introduced 'lore pages', which give an idea of how the universe operates. However, much of the story behind Faeria remains open for interpretation and the truth behind it is revealed by us in bits and pieces.

QUESTION 2: How does XP work? What's the value of having the double XP bonus?
PS - Thank you for making it Mac friendly :)
1) The matchmaking queues group everyone together, DLC or not. However, we have intentionally designed our card base to where you should not need any DLC to be competitive in any way.
2) You get XP for pretty much any game that you play. Single player, multiplayer, it doesn't matter. The actions you do in game reward you XP at the end, and with every gained level you earn a full Battle Chest (card pack.) Doubling the XP with Premium version makes that process twice as fast, but there are still many other methods of increasing your collection such as Daily Quests and crafting.
This is the first indie card game I've seen that actually seems to have prioritized visuals and effects to make it look and feel better to play the game. The rest I've seen or played just feel like a 2D game with voice lines thrown in, or are built with mobile platforms in mind that really tone down the overall quality. Kudos for making the game look and feel good for PC gamers.

You wanna be a sage, you gotta grow a beard. I don't make the rules.
The game looks pretty good and I heard good things on how it plays. I've played Hearthstone and a bit of Eternal and some ESL and they're all pretty nice, also looking forward to Artifact to see how that turns out. But this game definitely looks and feels a lot different than the other ones.
Odd spot for a promotion, but looks cool regardless.
I would love to try Faeria. I watched a few streams and it looks quite fun!
I'm sure I have this game in my steam library. It must be a demo if it's not F2P!?
I downloaded a bunch of card games a while back. is this the one that resembles a board game?
If you guys like MTG, check out Eternal. It's a nice game.
Cool promotion, thanks! Recently hit a full collection in Faeria (minus the new expansion), I'd love to get my hands on the Fall of Everlife though :)
I wouldn't mind giving this a try...

Been a while since I last played Faeria, didn't even know it wasn't F2P anymore! I think I'll return to it again hahaha

You have all won Steam Keys! Will send them through PM, and send another 3 tomorrow.
Thanks everyone!
