So I recently watched the Warcraft Movie... Although it was a bit overly CGI for my personal taste, I thought the storyline/lore and familiar characters was really cool. Since then I've been debating reading some of the WOW books. I really don't know much about Warcraft or WOW lore except from Hearthstone and a little bit from Warcraft 3 so i'd really appreciate any recommendations of what books to start of with!
I suggest to rather go chronological as it is easy to get a taste and later want to read them all. Best story to start with in my opinion is The Well of Eternity Trilogy and The Last Guardian. You'll find some aspects differ from the movie, so don't be surprised by some Hollywood exaggeration.
Also if you were into the lore and liked playing RTS games, I recommend Warcraft 3 and its expansion. Basically that's the origin of all wow lore.
It's about old Orc shenanigans, Prophet Velen plays a role.
It's a stand-alone, so you can stop reading after you finish, if you didn't like it.
The Last Guardian is a book the Movie was based about, but since you already saw it, idI recommend checking this ine last.
If you REALLY wanna dive into it head first, you should pick the Well of Eternity trilogy. But as I said, it's a trilogy and it's rather long, if it's not an interesting read to you.
Lord of the clans is also a good one, also pretty stand alone. This one is about Thrall and his rise to power.

My first was Arthas:Rise of the Lich King, then I read Thrall:Twilight of the Aspects and since then I've been reading a lot of those. I woyld recommend starting with the chronicles though.

My two favorites are Day of the Dragon and The Last Guardian.
The most juicy WoW story has to be the Nathanos drama that was all over reddit last week :D

Rise of the Horde is a great one to start.
