I'm actually loving mercenaries, even though i will agree with alot of people, that the gamemode need some (if not alot) fixing.
But, with all of that asite, i would like to know, if any of you have giving it some thought of which mercenaries you would like to see in the future - and why? Maybe even thought on their skills and equipment.
More tribal. There's barely any for most synergies. Past that, eh, all good. I was impressed by how they gave Xyrella/Samuro who are a stupid strong pair for free, so hopefully not gated too much (here's looking at you, Diablo, only available from one BRM bounty, plus the random occasional coins from bounties).
What is this Xyrella/Samuro combo? I've seen more people talk about it, but haven't really played those yet.
Xyrella's blinding luminance is speed 3, deals (small) damage and reduces attack. Samuro's double strike is speed 4 and swings twice if the target's been damaged already this turn, gaining attack on the second swing (and the equip gives attack/health buffs on every attack). Blinding not only procs double strike, but also reduces attack making Samuro survive more attacks and gain more attack power. Can carve through (normal) Emperor in three or four turns, down to two with windfury, because that scales even faster. It just feels unfair - normal mobs die in one set of attacks, generally.
It's been out for less than a week and I'm already bored with the content. I feel like there should be more but I don't know if more heroes is the answer since packs are hard to get unless you spend gold/actual money. Its even more repetitive than dungeon runs. PVP is one sided. You have to be all in to be competitive. Which is not the same for the rest of HS game modes (BGs, Duels, Arena, Standard)
On topic: More synergies such as they have dragon potential but only two(Alex and Brightwing?) dragon mercs with Gruul as anti-dragon. Several unused tribe synergy like gnome, undead, and elemental. More ways to pull off spell combos like Blink Fox and Guff. What they have is very basic and has plenty of potential. But it's going to be some time before they release more for it since they just released it. Hell, you're already asking for more heroes when there's 51 total. When they release more content for this, how fast is that energy going to run out?

You realise there will be mercenaries expansions like they do with hearthstone right ?
They will obviously add more synergy to existing tribes, more bounties, etc. Just have to wait a few months for it.
Content was pretty sparse as well when Hearthstone first came out in 2014, couple hundred cards, 1 or 2 decks per class, no pve content.
As a side note, what is wrong with Guff ? I understand Blink Fox is hard to synergize with only 2 other mercs using arcane damage and no arcane protector, but guff has more than enough ways to activate his A2 and A3.
As it currently stands the game allows you to build full synergy teams with multiple tribes such as Orc, Sacred, Nature, Human, Demon, Shadow.
It is mostly Frost, Arcane, Murloc and Dragon tribes that are lacking in content right now. And obviously those that are currently not supported like you mentionned. Elementals have support though, at the very least in the form of treasures.

I know there will be more content for it. I said it'll be a long wait because they just released the game mode. But people are already asking for more less than a week after the release as this thread is all about more mercs coming. HS was limited when it first came out but there was a lot more variety and you didn't have to buy a ton of packs just to get what you wanted. The dust system is amazing for f2p or low spending people since you can disenchant the cards you don't use and create the cards you want. You can't do that with Mercs. And there was a basic set that gave you a huge variety of ideas you could make. Chillwind Yeti was one of the best cards in standard for a long time. But Mercs you get so few mercs for free and its incredibly hard to get packs (if you play standard you have to choose between spending gold on the next expansion in a month or Mercs now which already lost a lot of hype so quickly).
I mentioned Guff because I was asking for more spell combos. I know you can pull it off. The thread is about more hero ideas and my thought was more spell combos like Blink Fox and Guff.

Not much its just first Ability of both.
With xyrellia samuro has perma windfury, thats it.

Deathwing: 5 turn wait; 10 cost, Destroy a minion (once per game).
Kel'Thuzad: 4 turn wait; 9 cost, Resurrect a Merc, if this is the only Merc resurrect two (once per game).
Lorewalker Cho: 3 turn wait: 7 cost, Cast all enemy spells played this turn on a target.
