Except for their RTS games (specially Starcraft 1, one of the best games I have ever played), Blizzard has their own way to balance things, and they have showed it on Hearthstone a lot of times. They really don't care about all the classes being strong and really competitive, at least not all of them at the same time, and they love to "take turns" between them. For example, the Paladin class has been a very dominant one since some considerable time already, in Arena and Constructed, but we really don't know if some day it would be bottom tier, and Rogue the best one.
I really think guys than this is OK. Why? First, because almost perfect balance, all the time, after each expansion/adventure is almost impossible to accomplish, and is really not worth it. And second, because it makes the game less boring in the long run. By making some classes considerable stronger than others, and then reversing this situation after some amount time, the meta, the game, changes a lot, and with this you can prevent it from becoming repetitive and stagnant in an easy and, most importantly, effective way.
What do you think people? Do you agree with me or not?
P.D.: While I think this is fine, a class like Rogue must start to shine a bit more as soon as possible, and reduce the power level of a class like Paladin on the next expansion. I would be a bit worried if they don't do it, since it is already time to "take turns" between some classes.
I agree for sure. While having a balanced playing field would be nice... Its not reasonable to think that it would ever happen. Though I do wish they would not focus so heavily one ONE class. especially when the favor the class they ALWAYS favor in every blizzard game that includes that class (paladin is always OP). But I really don't mind it. Ive never seriously played paladin (except arena) and im always able to get to rank5 (except this season(so far))
It is obviously not competitive enough. It really doesn't matter if some few players can easily reach legend with it, it is more about the insane skill of those guys, than just rogue being a good class.
He didn't say that.... He's just stating that classes like Paladin have been getting strong support cards despite already having multiple Tier 1 decks while Rogue that, has just 1 really playable Deck, isn't getting support cards as strong as Paladin ones.....
Rogue's class idea is cool on paper. Class that uses multiple cards to deal with anything that is thrown at her way.
However in reality it leads to using two or more cards to do what other classes do as effectively by using a single card.
However when you draw what you need, it feels an amazing class. However you need to have draw to compensate of having to use more cards to do what other classes can do by using one card.
Judging from the comic, much prefer the Valve way. If everything is broken/super strong, people complain a lot less. This is generally true of most competitive game. There is more a feeling that things are 'fair'. In addition everyone wants to have strong stuff, so if they have it themselves, they aren't as concerned about others having it.

Midrange is Tier 2. Secret is Tier 1 but doesn't deserve it, only T1 cause people refuse to play the obvious counters, of which many are avalable, not because Secret is OP like Patron was.
0 Tier 1 decks, oh no, all that value, so many good decks, whatever shall we do?

cyclic balanced
It is the way of balancing things for most popular online games because its is the best from a financial perspective. There is no other reason.

The strong cards that paladin was getting was when it was in the trash heap. Paladin only became actually strong in TGT. By then, most of their cards were already there. They were falling out of favor in Naxx when Avenge showed up. They were trash in GvG, trying to make midrange work when minibot and shredder came out, and only had eboladin as a rank gainer when TGT came out. TGT gave them SOMETHING to do in Secret, but LoE was when everything finally synced together.
So please, enough with this idea that Paladin was some rich boy getting richer off the back of all of the poor other classes.
For the record, Rogue completely ruled the roost for the entire first year of the game and was still strong enough to not only make a showing in blizzcon but was used by the winner of blizzcon in both years, and is the only class to have done this. The issue is that they have such a hard time making a second deck out of their tools. They've been the rejected choice by the community often but they've proven themselves worthy time after time after time.

Lol, that comic is hilarious and oh so true.

I think they are following similar path with wow classes. Paladin, Warlock and Shaman power level patterns are about same.
One does not simply walk into Mordor,
unless they want to be the best they can be.
