As title says, I play like 2 months pretty active so I would like to share my impressions so feel free to comment and tell me if I am right or wrong. After 2 months I can say that I am pretty ok. Bought like 20 pack and the rest I got from free packs plus paid some extensions. Was pretty lucky to get some useless golden legendary so I could craft a lot of important cards. Recently I managed to get to level 8 which I think is good as I still didn't learn a lot of things, what should I expect and so on. I was on level 8-9 with face hunter, flood shaman, some kind of tempo mage and zoolock. So I play pretty aggro because of lack of high mana cards.
Now, what I realize after 2 months of playing are couple of things. First, I must say that blizzard should do something to remove useless cards noone plays and put more cards with value instead. Maybe I am wrong but I conclude that because what I can see is that 99% of players are playing copy/paste decks found on internet. I suppose if more value cards are added more variety will be in game and will encourage people to try to make their own decks.
Warriors:
Realized that most people who play warriors are "pay to win". Also, most of them sounds rude or nolife people as I do not know why would someone click "greetings" every single turn which happens often. Not to mention that 99% of warriors play one single control deck. Minions to boost armor, add cards, axes to clean it. Sludge, Brawl later... Armor boost armor boost... Then pulling legendaries like ysera, gromash, sylvanas, ragnaros...
Of course when I see that strong control tactics I just accept long type of games and play my turn and read forums, write mails or such and let every single turn max time. I think it is legit, opponents like to play long control games, why not, I will take all the time set by game rules so no problem with a game lasting 1 hour.
So, if you are not smart enough and have money just build that warrior control deck and play.
Paladins
Seems like another no skill hero to play. Play minibot, juggler, muster of battle etc until turn 6 and then turn on all your secrets. If something goes wrong Tirion should fix it. I do not say it is no skill hero but looks like anyone can reach level 8-12 with that tactic. When I started facing a lot of paladins I tried face hunter which is really nice against them.
But must say that it is really refreshing when I see no secrets paladin or murloc paladin so brings a bit of life to game.
In other classes I found a bit more variety although most of them still internet found decks. Like handlocks, face hunters etc... I can say that I have some respect to people playing rouge or priest as it seems it requires a lot more of thinking and combos few turns in advance.
Also I think that recent extension, LoE, with Reno Jackson will slow down game and will make it a bit more boring. Maybe I am not right and maybe people like to play long games but I think that it is not a good direction to go to heavy control or fatigue games.
But to conclude, game is really nice and fun to play, no matter of mentioned things. I would just like to see more types of decks where skills will be important.
p.s. I managed to get till level 8 so honestly don't know how games in better levels look, maybe meta there is completely different!
Warrior takes a lot of skill to play, unlike those aggro decks you play. Greetings is used as "Hurry up you turtle" emote, there's nothing rude in using that when facing a guy like you roping every turn. Roping is rude so you basically have no right to call anyone else rude.
He is not stupid. Its a true which you can't see because you are probably a paladin or warrior player. I found out that ctrl war or secret pally and freeze mages are bigger cancer than facehunter. He is absolutely right.

Shaman. The "worst class" (for a while at least).
Every single deck archetype is healthy for the game. When you acknowledge that FACT, you will improve at Hearthstone.

If you think expensive control decks are just "pay to win" and require no skill, then you clearly still have a lot of learning to do. I guarantee you that you won't be doing so well if you had to play control decks instead of the mindless aggro decks you do.
Also, letting your turns go to rope just to spite Control Warriors is extremely rude and uncalled for. Without people who are willing to pay good money for the game, the game wouldn't even be free for you to play in the first place. If anything, you should be thanking them for subsidising players like you.
CW can be a lot of fun as a reward for getting a lot of cards. This can be true for F2P players too eventually. And just because they have a lot of legendaries doesn't make CW pay to win, it's not "the" top level deck, just a very good one.
lol I have won mirror games in which the other warrior got justicar first and I got mine out very late. Mirror match up is about who is more efficient with removal and who gets more value out of the cards. You clearly don't know what you are talking about
I saw 2 control warriors (the least played class) in my last 30 games playing from legend 800-200 and won against both of them. It's fairly weak in this meta and actually loses a decent amount to aggro at the highest level because the draws aren't consistent enough sometimes. I don't think aggro is unfair either mind you, secret paladin? Possibly. I played against 4 priests (all control) and rogue was actually the most popular class. The new miracle rogue is very strong against aggro and at high legend ranks it's very popular right now. But honestly most of the strongest decks in the game cost between 1-5k dust. Control Warrior isn't even in the top 2 tiers imo so don't worry about "pay2win", the strongest decks have almost always been cheap combo/aggro decks every single meta.
I think this is the tenth mindless legendary envy post I've seen directed in part at CW in the past day. Did we have a new influx of players on hearth that think aggro should steamroll every deck in existence, and that turns should be over asap? I also laughed at the 'Recently I got to rank 8, which I think is good' part. Ranked begins at 5, anyone can pilot aggro to 5, but after 5 is where the real games happen.
Good luck learning to play hearthstone, come back and comment when you have a better understanding of the meta/ranked system/deck archetypes, until then, have fun! :)
Rank 1 is where the " real " game begins anyone can grind from 20 to 2 just play mindlessly for hours upon hours of your life :D, something you seem to be an expert at :D but at least you get to taste the " real game " :/ ( edit, don't wanna come across as rude but if your real game begins at rank 5 gl hf )
I'm FTP, I crafted a CW deck after a long effort. Then I found it wasn't even that good. Pretty disapointing. I'm working on crafting a handlock deck now, I'll let you know how that works in 6 months.
So, if you are notsmart enough just build that warrior control deck and play.
But to conclude, game is really nice and fun to play, no matter of mentioned things. I would just like to see more types of decks where skills will be important.
How do you want to see more skill decks if you play Face Hunter ? lmao
I'm FTP, I have a control warrior, I play 3-5 games per day, I spent a lot of hard earned dust to craft the key cards, it took a long time to figure out the concept of how to play the deck effectively vs. SMORc. I don't care either way if the games are long or short, rather if they are fun and competitive. I rope more often because I use my head each turn.
I have a secret pally, I draw Dr. 6 about 50% of the time. Tend to get beat by SMORc as by turn six my low health and MC can't protect me against SMORc lethal. Especially face hunter's lethal. It's not as powerful as people think it is.
I've played Face Hunter. It's streaky, it really is if you don't play it often.
Try agro Pally, it's cheap too and IMO better and more fun (thinky) than Face Hunter.
Lol, I see there are a lot of hate posts against me and many of them didn't understood the purpose of my post. Or maybe a lot of paladin and cw players...
So let me try to explain again what I wanted to say:
1st - used decks
I don't know, maybe 500 cards in the game or whatever but what I want to say is that 99% of people will just copy/paste good decks and play it. So when you learn things it practically means both players know each other decks and it becomes a chess game and wins who is better in chess plus RNG included. So would like to see more inventive people who will try to change at least 2 cards.
2nd - my impressions
I mentioned that I write about "my" impressions about the game and mentioned that I may be wrong in some points. Also, I mentioned that I achieved rank 8 and that I do not talk about better ranks but only what I saw till rank 8.
3rd - my decks
I see a lot of people loughing as I say I mostly play aggro and call that non skilled. I agree it requires no skill but again, I do not have cards to play longer games yet. Also, I do not see why face hunter or any other faster deck is less skilled than control warrior ? You need skill for any kind of deck.
Now to reply to some comments to me:
@griffisu Calling someone stupid tells more about you...
@synergy31337 I do not think aggro should be every deck. You missunderstood my post. What I want to say is that mostly control decks are copy/paste, all the same... At least in aggro decks I see some variety and different tactics...
You say ranking begins at rank 5? I disagree... When I started in first few days I was around rank 18 and thought "I wish that I can make #15"... When I made #15 I wanted #10. Now I am #8 and want #5. Maybe for you ranking starts at #5 but if you ask every months legends they will tell you different. Every higher rank is better and better, no difference.
@Domixux Actually I like to meet secret paladins as it improves my winrate when I changed my decks to fit my current level and a lot of them. I do not whine about them. I just say again - is there any uniqueness in secret paladins and control warriors ? All the same (again, on my ranks)
@Scipio_77 If you read my post you would see that I do not play casual but ranked.
So to conclude: My point of this post is just that I would like game to change to motivate people to make unique decks as now 99% are copy/paste from internet.
So, if you are notsmart enough just build that warrior control deck and play.
But to conclude, game is really nice and fun to play, no matter of mentioned things. I would just like to see more types of decks where skills will be important.
How do you want to see more skill decks if you play Face Hunter ? lmao
Actually face hunter is what I do not play often. But what you expect me to play if I do not have cards yet ? When you are new and meet someone with a lot of cards the longer the game the less changes you have to win. And face hunter is cheaper deck.
I mostly play mage because Antonidas is my first legendary I got so I can make pretty nice mage decks around it.
I see unique decks quite often in Casual. In Ranked people desire to play well tuned and effective decks as there is "something at stake" trying to get the better chest rewards. Some people have skill creating decks, some do not and still desire to have a good result. Not sure why this is a problem but if you do then that's your opinion and this is mine.

2 months playing but you only have salty things to say about two classes? This is such a fake thread. You are just a sore loser. Get better bro :)

Thank you for sharing these wonderful insights with us. I'll just go and play with my pay to win warrior deck now, and accept that I have no skill.
Also, continue playing in casual mode as that is obviously where your experience is from. CW isn't even particularly good these days.

Please don't feed the troll people, it needs to learn to go get food for itself.
I returned to this game much like how a recovering alcoholic can relapse.
Many of the secret paladin variations really destroys that popular Warrior deck people don't bother to change.
In fact, that warrior deck is quite weak and hardly pay to win as you make it sound like.
"I play face hunter"
"i rope every turn against CW on purpose"
you are cancer
