The horde of smorc decks are fine, handlocko 4aoe 10 taunts giants everywhere fine, cw 100 hp fine, druid half your hp pool with 2 cards fine but patron bad huhu. Don't worry it s getting nerfed soon though blizzard loves nerfing decks thag requires some thinking and planning ahead so all the kidw can go back to facerolling with their face hunter, tempo mages or secreg paladins while spamming thank you emote
Patron was 9th archetype in winrate in tournaments from gvg to tgt. #crymore #getbetter
This, patron is not unplayable bad atm but it is far from being strong, it's on the cusp of being viable with just a one trick pony combo keeping it alive. There is always counter play to this deck before they set up that there really is no reason to complain about it, if you get OTKed by it you either made a mistake or didn't pressure the Patron warrior enough.
I play patron when i get warrior quests, and to learn how the deck works. Omg i have hated playing this deck. My win rate was like 10%. I was even trying some alternate builds. Still nothing but losses. And i usually play controlish decks and have a pretty good record playing against the deck. But, finally i made a few tweaks to the netdeck list and i understand how to play the deck and i am getting 50% wins now. It is like people say a difficult deck to play. Can be draw dependent. Really need to dig deep into the deck. I have been surprised that i was able to beat a dragon priest and a handlock when it would have seemed impossible with all the taunts that were played. I also agree that it is not very interactive. Other than taunts and my opponent pushing lethal on me i don't really care what they are doing. I am just calculating what it takes for me to kill them. And that is usually all about berserker.
Frothing and Warsong have been in hearthstone since the start . Why so mad now ? Why weren't you guys mad back then ?? Ohhh , because they released new cards for a possible deck. Guys ... please shhhh
Warsong didn't behave like that between Naxx and BRM. Summoned minions did (pre-Naxx), then didn't (Naxx-BRM) then did again receive the charge from Warsong.
I don't recall if Frothing retained its charge over 3 ATK before Warsong was "fixed".
I like that the deck exists. If I could make any change though it would probably to make Frothing only proc when stuff on your side takes damage, including the hero. Right now it punishes extending your board too much. Patron does a little but playing bigger minions makes that not as much of an issue, whereas Frothing doesn't care what you played. It's sort of the same problem I had with the old buzzard unleash combo, since you you need to play stuff to pressure but you get really punished for doing it.
Otherwise though I don't have an issue with the deck.
Aside from all of the obvious reasons to nerf Patron Warrior (such as them being able to deal 40+ damage from no board), there's something else that should be pointed out.
When there are threads about 'Face Hunter is OP' or 'Face Hunter needs to be nerfed', there is always a ton of people against it, telling people how to counter/beat the deck really easily. A lot of the community doesn't think that Face Hunter needs that much of a nerf.
But when a thread like this comes around, everyone just 'GET IN HERE' and agrees that this deck needs a nerf. Several people have come up with several reasons to nerf, and most people can't find an effective deck counter to it, aside from some singular cards for specific classes.
Another issue is the massive amount of control which Warrior can bring to the board
Firey War Axe
Deathsbite
Execute
Shield Slam
Along with others (and thats not counting any card-draw minions) means that Warrior can limit any board prescence until turn 7 or so until he gets his combo-wombo.
for those of you who thinks patron is an easy deck to play, i would refer you all to watch lifecoach play patron. yes, it can hit for a lot, but some of his hands are so shitty, you have got to wonder if hes going to make it out there alive or some of his play makes you wonder if it's a misplay but then you realize hes thinking far enough ahead that he can play the way he can.
Miracle Rogue wasn't easy either, but it was over the top. Patron is over the top as well.
No deck should be able to, from an empty board, deal 30 damage regardless of what the opponent puts down, and Patron clearly can.
Its not even about being the best deck or not, its just about the OTK potential that a consistent deck has. We all know that shouldn't exist in Hearthstone and that is why I am positive the deck will get nerfed at some point.
I would rather face a Patron Warrior than a Face Hunter. The worst moments for me are to be hit by Wolfriders.
And as a Dragon Priest and Token/Ramp Druid, I don't find Patron that hard to deal with. The matchups are to some extent interactive, since I can force the Warrior to sacrifice his Whirlwind by presenting board threats.

But when FFS? The community has been up in arms over this deck forever now, extremely vocal about wanting a nerf- but from Blizzard we get nothing except excuses about not wanting not nerf/buff cards/destroy decks - it's like they stopped giving a **** about game balance and think they can fix broken cards by releasing more broken cards.

You do realize that it is a combo deck? Combo decks fight on another axis. They don't care about your board control as much.
this game already has enough dumb "I dump my hand down and think I'm smart" type of decks. Patron Warrior is completely fine, the problem Is the lack of good tech cards not the deck itself. Freeze Mage has way more dominating matchups (priest and Paladin are 80/20 or 90/10), patron does not stomp other decks that hard.
Magic also has decks that kill you in one turn. The problem only arises when combo Is faster than aggro which Is clearly not the case, so Patron Is healthy for the game.
the only people who complain about Patron are the people who are too bad for the deck.

Magic =/= equal to Hearthstone because you can affect your opponents turn.
In Hearthstone, how are you supposed to stop 30 damage from an empty board? YOU DON'T.
In MAgic, you can counter cards that are played during your opponents turn at least. There is no such card in Hearthstone, thus making OTK 'uninteractive and unfun', which are the exact words written in the patch notes for the Miracle Rogue card nerfs.

Give a man a Murloc, and he'll eat for a day.
Give him a Murloc Knight, and people will hate him.
And losing as a Priest, Shaman or Paladin vs Freeze Mage is more fun? Dieing over two turns instead of one turn?^^ In Magic only 1/5th of the "classes" can interact with combo cards on the opponents turn.

Every color has instants, not just blue. And while most non-blue counters are form older sets, often times tech cards like counter target green spell are printed for colors. This is all not even mentioning you can splash blue in every deck but not in hearthstone. If every class had secrets that could react to opponents combos it might not be so bad but you are at the mercy of the opponents draw. Also against freeze mage you have a chance rushing the deck down or teching a heal card in your deck to combat the burst over 2 turns (and freeze mage needs countless turns to set their combo up to go all in). Chillmaw doesn't cut it as it gets executed easily and silenced in other decks, taunts just add to frothing damage and only 3 classes can reliably go over 30 health, there is no card to tech vs patron and no way to interact or stop their combo when it's ready. Patron is pretty good at stalling too as if you can't stop a 50+ damage combo through taunt, the only way to combat this kind of deck is to go hyper aggro and rush them hoping you draw better than they do and pulling a win out, if you look at the current meta decks, if you aren't playing patron you are playing a very fast aggro/tempo deck (secret paladin is a tempo aggro) or another combo deck (combo druid pales in comparison to patron though). Mid range and control decks are basically non existent atm outside of warrior or druid who can gain armor. (dragon priest is an exception but it plays like a tempo deck and is weak to patron anyways)
The mechanics of MTG and Hearthstone are so vastly different it's hard to compare how combos in each game work while saying they are OK if they function similarly. Most combos in MTG only give you a major advantage anyways, they don't OTK you unless you are playing vintage, if that's the case you have force of will being the glue that holds that format together to prevent turn 0 wins.

I get worst feeling when I lose to face hunter.
At least against PW we have some board interaction and we reach later turns but with face hunter (at worst) I'm dead on turn 5...

I just faced a Patron Warrior when I was doing ladder. They are rage inducing. It's completely unfair the combos they could do in one turn.

Tbh I am pretty sure Patron will get nerfed in the next 2 months, unless Blizzard is waiting for Blizzcon tournament before nerfing anything

Nothing doing, traveler.
Just got hit by two Frothings 21/1 each, playing as priest.
Completely broken. No excuse.
